    Do folks who do fan-art and fan-fiction ask the IP holders for permission? Do folks that produce other things like limited kits or 3D renders for 3D printers ask the IP holders for permission? The majority of the time the answer would be....rarely at best. Again, not sure why AI doing the "violating of artists rights" is any different than when "human" artists do it? I do not think AI threatens "real" artists in any way. Will some artists lose their job due to AI....sure, and apparently some already have. But, that happens all the time when new technology becomes available. Artists shouldn't feel that they are more entitled to have their field more protected than say librarians, production line workers or fast food employees...all whose fields have been affected by technology...internet, robotics, automation, etc. Progress always brings about winners and losers....welcome to what some may consider the dark side of capitalism.

    If you mean that the "art" being generated is not that good or original...then yeah....but if you are fearing that original art from "human artists" will go away somehow, then I am not so sure about that....IMO, AI art is no different that fan-art, it's just being created by a machine...like AI generated art, fan-art is taking the original works of say Kawamori and using that as their inspiration for attempting to create something "original" that could exist in the universe that he originally created.....the big fear is that AI will do the same thing and somehow stop new and existing artists from creating new art...However, fan-artists have been copying the "styles" of artists, for example anime/manga artists, for years...and yet we keep getting new anime and manga styles all the time from new artists that develop all-new styles.... All AI will do is force artists to up their game or perhaps they can use it to inspire the quick evolution of their current art style.......think of how Mikimoto has evolved his "style" from the original SDFM....his current "style" which was introduced for Macross the First, is similar but significantly different from how he originally started drawing these same characters decades ago...will AI be able to do this or do this faster? Will AI be able to "evolve" the style of art that it has copied to begin with and come up with something that looks sufficiently different from the source material? I have not heard of it doing that yet.....of course, if AI becomes sentient....all bets are off! LOL

    Not bad...but they should just have stuck with the Tamashii 15th logo by itself like they have in the past.....at least for the front of the box...I like the minimalist look... ...actually, I can't recall now and mine are stashed away...was the Tamashii 10th a slip-sleeve cover?

    Here is an original Masami illustration covering DYRL style valks...you can check his style and do the art forensics...lol We need to load all this art by illustrator into AI and have it start spewing out new illustrations "in the style of" Takani....Suzuki....Masami...etc....

    You mean the Bandai guy who pitched the "idea" (knowing there is no way Bandai would green-light it) wins when he takes it home and stashes it in his basement mancave!...thinking of the 1/35th VF-1J and 1/1800 DYRL SDF-1...imagine what those would sell for on auction....🤑

    It's not a "normal" Tamashii web exclusive that is open to anyone (in Japan)...it is a link to a "lottery" to purchase at the Tokyo Tamashii store being offered only to certain "Tamashii club" members I can understand why this "lottery" would be used in the case of "limited" Tamashii store items...but for this "general release" Super VF-1S....I am not sure what the point is....seems you are waiting longer to get one...unless they will be giving you something "extra"....imagine if they threw in a "Focker" pilot as an exclusive Tamashii Store goodie....

    Looks like BBTS listed the HMR VF-1S but not the next Japanese SDFM release...the HMR GBP-1J....wonder if HG sent them another of their famous cease and desist letters? Although I do see an Arcadia Tomahawk listing waiting to be clearance fodder...as is the fate of most Destroids...lol

    Exactly! Not sure BW really understood how much they were giving up when they bent the knee to HG on all things SDFM-DYRL outside of Japan... Kind of surprised BBTS was able to sneak this one in? It was not part of the WWM releases....did they get HG approval? Or just testing HGs resolve?

    Ok....that's right....it's how Ezra got "lost" along with Thrawn....was this a hint at what's coming? Every SW show seems to be heading into a Avengers-style climax....only to still ultimately lead up to the Sequel Trilogy let down!

    S3 Ep 1 sort of had that silly vibe that most of the Book of Boba Fett episodes had, especially towards the end of the season...plus what was the deal with the Dynamite 7 Galactic Whales and Swamp Thing pirate? His head looked like it was covered in that fake grass they place into Easter Baskets for the kiddos!

    Why? BW's deal with HG pretty much guaranteed you will never get SDFM-DYRL merch outside of Japan ever....nothing has changed, except the status quo is now officially sanctioned by BW

    Have there been any pics posted on any of the hobby mags or elsewhere that shows an HMR VF-1 and this HMR Orgroid next to each other? Based on the stats, it seems to be taller than the HMR VF-1....the only reason why I would be interested in buying a copy of this is to pop a VF-1A head onto it to re-create an Orguss Valk....will the HMR VF-1A head be too small based on the available size stats for the HMR Orgroid?
