    It's basically nothing but a constant stream of 2009-style remember-berries. The characters all operate somewhere between parody and fan-fiction at best.

    DX 25 definitely has the little thrusters at the back where the shield formerly sits. 31 doesn't appear to have anything that resembles that unless the jets are the two slots at the back of the wing root just outside where the feet/legs stick out in fighter mode.

    Odd situation, when stuff went up the other week I tried to order through FromJapan and in the meantime it went out of stock so I didn't bother. Saw this here, went back to FJ, the order was still waiting for me to pay. The link to that order was an earlier one at a lower price and following the link it said it was still available although navigating to the website that link is no longer there. I guess we'll see if I get the lower price or not...

    Stop ordering from them direct. I stopped that a couple years ago. Entertainment Earth doesn't charge an up front payment, pre-order fee or tax. And they usually have a code for free shipping so they're the cheapest and easiest way to pre-order them now. Plus the shipping doesn't require I show an ID upon receipt like what Mezco do to me. Or don't order anything else at all, like I have. Because I'm sick of them taking us for granted.

    Looking at the finished version more I'm in. The colors and design work IMO.

    Don't blame the fans for the writers poor decisions. I don't k ow a solitary fan who thought section 31 was cool or a great idea. I can name a lot of hacky, edgy, nibilistic hollywood writers who would though. They apparently all work for Alex Kurtzman too.

    The reason why the DX version is more "precise" is because it's based off the design from the five seconds of footage in the second Frontier movie where Isamu flies by. It's not hand drawn but an actual 3D model that fits/matches shape in all three modes better than the hand drawn version from Plus would. So the DX does resemble the anime, just not Plus. It resembles Frontier.

    If you dislike his opinion of Plus you'd REALLY hate my opinion of all of them...

    As much as I hate the constant nostalgia-bait train ride I do enjoy the different cues during the completely unnecessary ship viewing segment.

    That new ride armor looks pretty good in color, actually. I might get it. Tread looks great but doesn't really look like the Legioss/Tread are connected... it is a prototype though, maybe the connections just don't work well enough at this stage? Bulldog is an interesting redesign though. I wonder if they'll have a Legioss redesign at some point too?

    To be fair the 0D is not '"panel lined" it's weathered. That's going to make the lining heavier.

    If you want it to look like the Plus Anime it's Arcadia. If you want fancier engineering but a model that looks more like the second Frontier movie model go with DX.

    Jesus Christ, that Museum scene was like the Red Letter Media review of The Force Awakens was used as an actual plot-point. "Tie Fighters! Light Sabers!" So they got it 50% right.
