    The problem with that idea is that - inevitably there's going to be mission-creep to the airframe. Which means it'll eventually be asked to do everything - just like the F-16 - and the T-50 airframe would be found to be too small.

    Currently watching Cyborg 009: Call of Justice on Netflix. I'm a long time fan of the Cyborg 009 franchise, so I had to check it out. This feels like a rehash of some of the themes in the 1979 series as well as Re: Cyborg. Though so far, it's looking better (storywise) than Re: Cyborg. Don't really like the RWBY-like CGI animation though.

    They were correctly in 1/100 scale and looked decent enough in fighter mode... so I forgive it to some extent.

Revoltech VF-1 (transforming version) - It was a bad idea from the get go. 2. Yamato GNU-DOU VF-1 battroid figures - Overpriced and quite possibly the floppiest & flimiest feeling toy I ever purchased. It has a nice sculpt though. If the GNU-DOU line came with fighter mode figures, I might have liked these a heck of lot more. 3. Just about everything released by Toynami. Oh wait, these aren't Macross toys...

    After watching so many modern animes with teenage boys, it was refreshing to see a manly man like Cobra be the leading character. Love the women in Cobra too. All of them sexy bikini clad women. No such thing as lolis in the world of Cobra.

    I think we'll find out more in about 2 months at the Shizuoka Hobby Show. If there's nothing new at Shizuoka, then the line is likely dead. I'm inclined to think that Tomytec might put a hiatus on Macross related kits until the showing of the new anime series and return to doing real life aircraft. Two years ago they teased a VF-143 Tomcat and then nothing after they jumped aboard the Macross Modelers project.

    More F-22s? That would've been nice. Unfortunately it's own high cost already had the bean-counters on its 6 even before the difficulties with the F-35. I approve of replacing the F-15E with F-16XLs. Better yet, navalize the F-16XL and replace the aerodynamically flawed Super Hornets.

    Unfortunately, when there's less money to go around, things are going to be dropped. Frankly, the services are lucky they're actually going to get the F-35 (at least for now). Had the F-35 been cancelled like some wanted, the situation would be even worse.

    I read it as the rights-holder saying - "we've got other plans in releasing this title in English".

    I recently finished watching all of the 1980's TV series and the 2008-2010 OAV/TV series. They were all fantastic. Highly recommended.

    Anyone watch the new Top Gear episode (Season24)? I liked the first episode. Dropping Chris Evans and having Matt LeBlanc, Rory Reid, and Chris Harris as the main hosts was the right call. Judging by the first episode, it looked like a good chemistry.

    However, in 1995, the exchange rate went to around 85yen to the dollar. A single episode of Macross Plus on VHS was about 8000yen.

    Easy to say they should've had the international deal in place before the first disc of the Japanese release. Sometimes it's not that simple. Pirating this series isn't going to suddenly force Bandai to include English subtitles or make the international deal happen sooner.

    Could be both. A completely new series (シリーズ完全新作) and a reboot (リメイク). Though, if I had to guess, it's probaby just a reboot TV series much like Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040....

    Funny thing is, despite being less sophisticated, Soviet/Russian aircraft have never been known for reliability (particularly the engines). Just look at the troubles that India had with their MiG-29Ks and Su-30MKIs

    Is it "Arctic Gear" or "Actic Gear"? The Japanese katakana pronunciation is closer to the latter and even the placards spells it in English without the "r". Just wondering... was the line at one time called Arctic but now is Actic?

    20-something/30-something age group I guess. I would imagine that a good number of people (in many countries around the world) who were kids during the late 90's/early 2000's would be familiar with at least one of those anime characters. The only one that doesn't fit is Atom. Probably should be replaced with Pokemon.

    Just give me a yuri love triangle in the new series. I'm tired of the usual 2 girls 1 guy standard. In fact get rid of all the guys. Screw the fujoshi. Give me an all Meltran cast and all will be forgiven.

    Personally I like using the Loctite superglue which is easily found at your local hardware store or Home Depot. Depending on the type you get, the hardening time can range between 5 to 15 secs. The trick to using superglue (particularly the liquid type) is to drop a small amount onto some throwaway piece of plastic and then using a toothpick to apply the glue. Never apply directly from the bottle.
