  1. Hey Jay-Lew, do you still have that awesome SDF-1 model you made a few years back (I believe it was 2005)? It would be great to see some more of that, perhaps even some wallpapers. It was incredible.
  2. Absolutely fantastic. This is a perfect way to give fans the ideal view of any toy/model. I'd definitely like to see something like this on a Macross website. It's even better than window shopping or seeing the product inside a box. You're lighting is very good as is the high number of frames you've used to achieve a nice smooth rotation. This is most impressive. I am really eager to see the finished product.
  3. Hahahaha! Kaworu in drag...I'm having flashbacks of U2's video for "One"
  4. Taken from my website (Macropedia Section): Protoculture An advanced interstellar civilization whose species is considered the first sentient race to evolve in the universe. The protoculture existed hundreds of thousands of years before humanity achieved space flight and was responsible for guiding the evolvution of Humans and creating the Zentradi.
  5. I'll send you a PM with my address. Just send it over and I'll take care of it for you
  6. As always, excellent work. THanks for sharing!
  7. Well, it wouldn't be a Macross series if it didn't take forever to be released Well, I guess this gives me more than enough time to finish off the M3 in preparation for the new series, hahaha.
  8. Like myk, I really like many of the Think Tanks from the Ghost In The Shell movies and series. I especially like the Standard Light Weight Tank (Crab Tank) in the GITS feature film, the Tachikomas and the HAW206 (Scorpion Tank) seen in GITS-SAC 1st Gig. CLICK HERE FOR LARGER VERSION I also really like the Patlabor future tanks, like the HAL X-10 and the AFL-98 Lhada.
  9. Ouch. I'm hoping the translation is better news than the babelfish version
  10. That is weird. I've only used the animation program that comes with Paint Shop pro and only to make very simple animated gifs. So I'm not really sure what the problem could be. Regardless, I think the small one works just fine, even if it is a bit slower.
  11. I agree it could be so. Like I said in an earlier post, there are several possible scenarios for the appearance of the Zentradi "Enemy" Battle Suit seen in Macross Plus including the possibility it's an old design that wasn't encountered by the UNG until 2040. Also, it could be possible that different Zentradi fleets have access to different factory satellites that can make different mecha. So it's not unreasonable to assume some Zentradi fleets (like the Bodol Zer Fleet, for example) will not have access to everything in the original Zentradi military inventory.
  12. You specifically said in your initial post that you got the information about a second mission to the Supervision Army Derelict from the Macross Compendium. Your second post then answered my question (where is that information specifically on the Macross Compendium?) but you posted a link to a Role-Playing Game website instead. What other reasonable conclusion could I reach with the information at hand? Regardless, there was certainly no insult intended and trust me when I say we're all just trying to make sense of Macross.
  13. That's fair enough. I agree that a purely mathematical arguement may not have been the best example for a purely speculative discussion, but it makes sense nonetheless. I agree it's more likely than ever that the UNG would encounter someone else, it's just not very probable regardless of the circumstances within the UNGs capabilities. Now the second part of your post I can speculate on a plausible answer. Remember that the Super Dimension Fortress Macross series was originally planned to be a far longer series and changes were made to shorten it and then extend it yet again. So some of the Supervision Army plot threads are likely hanging plot threads leftover from editing. Now after many years of viewing the show, we fans are still left with some unanswered questions. But one thing is clear, the creators included the dialogue and scenes about the Supervision Army to make certain the audience understood the greater conflict in the Galaxy and the nature of the Zentradi. It was also to remind the audience the SDF-1 Macross is ultimately a Supervision Army ship that started this whole affair.
  14. I knew you'd fall victim. If even a discerning non-collector like me was intrigued, I knew you'd at least seriously consider purchasing one
  15. I order a VF-1J, a patlabor and an evangelion a few days ago. I hope it's all shipped soon.
  16. You're welcome There is only line art available to me for the VF-0A "Raid/Angel" so far, so sadly the VF-0S doesn't appear. However, if you read the body text carefully, you'll note it specifically says that a VF-0S Angel appeared in the final battle of the Island of Mayan (which is Macross Zero Episode 5). I've never seen Flags of Our Fathers, but as I said recently in another thread, I personally wouldn't try to ponder on deep meanings or look for coherence in the Macross continuity. The debates about what is real Macross and what is DYRL Macross have lead to legendary discussions on this website which always ultimately conclude there is no rhyme nor reason to the ultimate "correct" continuity. Basically, if the mecha/character designs are more interesting/reimagined, Kawamori and Co. have adopted them as part of the main Macross universe. We, as the audience, are just meant to imagine these mecha/character designs were part of Macross all along. This is why the SDF Macross (Film Version) appears in Macross Plus, why Exedol appears green in Macross 7, why the Chlore Fleet is using Meltrandi ships in Macross 7 Encore, et cetera. You just go with it, even if the whole Zentradi/Meltrandi thing contradicts the entire SDFM series. Just assume it fits in somehow and leave it at that, because it's clear that's all the thought that Kawamori and Co. have put into it.
  17. My website is good for Macross Mecha colors. I hope you take a look (see the link in my signature). Unfortunately, I don't have the Macross 13 colors yet. I hope Azrael has some pictures because I could really use some color reference for that ship.
  18. The speed is different
  19. It's a bit of work, but you really appreciate the toy when you transform it. As other have mentioned, I'd definitely invest in the GBP-1S armor system. Not only does it include a piece that fills in the gap between the head and back pack, but tis also includes the left/right torso panels. With these three extra pieces in place, it really helps stabilize the Battroid mode and makes the Battroid look really cool without the armor.
  20. Agreed all. I guess it's just not my day
  21. Me too! I really liked that trailer. I hope this is good.
  22. Yeah, Im getting the feeling things are being intentionally derailed for the sake of arguement.
  23. That is not the Macross Compendium, Ishimaru. That link you posted is from an old Role-Playing Game website with made up information that is not official. Now I understand why I never heard of them going back to investigate the Supervision Army Derelict, because it's not officially what happened. Here is the Macross Compendium, that has official information about Macross: Macross Compendium
  24. Oops, bit off with the percentage, but the numbers are sound for the impossible scenario. The assumptions I made above are intentional throwaway calculations mike, I'm not saying that my position is: "There are equal ZA and SA army ships!" nor am I suggesting the UNG only has one ship (which you know I understand the UNG has entire fleets). This is becoming an intentionally obtuse discussion and it doesn't need to be. These assumptions in the impossible scenario are just for the sake of a "what if" and not to be taken literally, only accepted in as much as they help illustrate to you a point that I don't believe you're considering when you say; "They should have encountered the SA by now". You have to look at the extremes to which it takes to get contact and realize the incredibly imposible scenario (and favorable assumptions) that have to be made just to get that 4%. Like I said, when we go back down to plausibility we lose entire orders of magnitudes in the percentiles and you get chances like one in a million and a few dozen fleets aren't going to change that with any significance. Also, I never said the Stellar Republic is more dense in the center of the Galaxy; that's what YOU are saying. I'm saying we don't know. I'm going to digress and restate my opinion that's it not unreasonable that the UNG hasn't run into more SA and ZA ships in a mere 40 years. Yes, it could make a good story, but it's not like it's supposed to have happened by now.
  25. EDIT: Nevermind
