  1. thanks for the compliments guys. Jasonc--or anybody else...if you wanna really good looking curio cabinet when you get your house--check out Pulaski Curios. That's what all mine are. PM me for the link to the place online I got mine if anybody is in the market.
  2. I live and die by Model Master enamels myself...I have tried the Tamiya Acrylics everyone swears by and I think they SUCK ASS. Sorry, maybe I'm not utilizing them right or something, but I find they don't cover for sh*t. YUCK!
  3. Yamato NEEDS to finish the line!!!!! It's just NOT FAIR!!!!!
  4. Here are a few pics of my stuff--ALL freshly rearranged to allow a shelf for Macross Plus/Macross 7, TV stuff, and a DYRL shelf for "you-know-what", and finally my Mospeada stuff. .....1:60 figs by EXO.....
  5. ummm---what if I glued those screw covers on??? DOHHHhhhh!
  6. I will for sure want to pick up a couple or three of these in 1:60...and a VERY big thank you from us Macross fans! I am REALLY stoked about the civilian/military vehicles if you decide to do those next!
  7. this thread should be under the Macross PORN heading ......wow...great job so far!
  8. I RESISTED yet again!!! (as I have to put new tires on my car)
  9. I'm gonna venture out on a limb here, but I kinda didn't mind the first AVP. I thought is was a fairly cool movie. The second one kinda turned into a blood bath near the end and generally didn't do anything for me..
  10. Same here. I think that's just how it is.
  11. YOU my friend, are a BRAVE soul! I salute you! Can't wait to see how this turns out!
  12. You hit the nail on the head with that statement. That's exactly the overall feeling I got from watching all the "making of" documentaries.
  13. So I just finished up watching all 4 Alien movies on Blu-Ray and made it through ALL the extra stuff as well. Very well done interviews and thoughts put forward by everyone involved about all 4 movies. Makes you realize just how convoluted this franchise has been since the beginning. If you are a fan of the series, you need to pick it up. I had never seen the "special versions" of 3 and Resurrection. Still not great films, but better in my opinion than what was released in the theaters. Especially 3. I believe if Ridley AND H. R. Giger set out to make a prequel, it will be well thought out and probably pretty good, as long as it's not a re-hash of everything else. I will probably go to see it. Although the 3-D thing they could leave OUT. just my .02.
  14. I really need to finish watching 7......bout half way through..
  15. Got my Finemolds 1:48 Tie in the mail yesterday. VERY simple compared to the x-wing. DO NOT have to mask off and paint the canopy's on this one!!! Great detail on the wing/solar panels....
  16. Thanks Agent! And there's nothing glossy about the finish on the thing whatsoever.
  17. Nope. Just using Pro-Modeler's Dark Dirt Wash. Fill in the lines with a paint brush, let it dry, and wipe away the rest with a slightly moist finger tip, or q-tip.
  18. agreed! I need some of those. Anyway--had a chance to do some panel lining/detailing on this thing this weekend...not finished yet, but here's a few pics up to this point....the more detail you add to this thing, the better it looks!
  19. EXACTLY. Giant decals would look horrible on this thing. It needs very small subtle decals if any...refer to the excellent 1:2000 custom thread. I for one am GLAD they didn't include any stickers. And could you IMAGINE the whining, moaning that would be going on if they had included water slide decals with this thing????
  20. I just used everyday Testors plastic model glue...you know...the orange tube.. hint: use a toothpick to apply it to your piece and then glue the piece on. Have a pair of small needlenose pliers handy as well. Also, depending on the piece, you might want to apply the glue directly to the model instead of the piece itself. Makes it easier on some parts.
