    Gotta admit, I do like and appreciate the level of detailing on this, I also like the light up screen in the cockpit..Bandai could have thrown that little bone to us on the DX 1J, but I digress...

    Transformed back to fighter for the first time last night and I must admit, I struggled a bit. More than I do with My Yamato's. Granted, I'm more use to them. Figuring out how the little white arm piece that connects to the little swing bar thing for the neck in battroid mode folds back away in fighter mode was a problem for me. It's not shown clearly in the instructions. Finally got it figured out. When you combine that issue along with the STUPID connector part on the legs fitting back together trying to keep the legs attached, I found myself thinking this release is really more of a semi step sideways, not backwards, but not really forwards either when it comes to comparing it to Yamato Ver2's. All in all though, it does look great in all 3 modes. As many have stated, there's positives and negatives to every toy release, but at end the end of the day, these are great, but the 1:60 scale is just easier to handle, and display space is always a factor. I will keep this one and probably get a Roy, but that will be it for me in this line, well maybe a VF-1D if they do it.

    I normally only deal with sellers above 95% or higher as well, but I figure if they end up cancelling, oh well. No harm no foul. I'm not dying to have the figure. We'll see what happens. I'm patient.

    Brother-In-Law got me Studio Series Bumblebee for Xmas and I gotta say--I'm NOT impressed. Talk about a hard transformation to get right for a cheap toy. Maybe I'm to use to Macross stuff. What a gappy mess in car mode. You think you have everything lined up and then something pops loose. REALLY glad I'm not into Transformers anymore other than a MP Takara here and there.

    Sucks that Jenius' copy had a crack in it upon arrival. Will definitely check mine when it shows up. Has to be said, outside the older releases now infamous shoulder issues, never had a Yamato V2 have a single structural issue ... even after all these years. My one Yamato 1:48 Roy had the saggy arms in fighter mode with the Supers attached as I remember. Sold it years ago.
