What a bad week or so for people passing away. I was not a Sesame Street watcher as a kid but I really liked Big Bird and Oscar. RIP Caroll Spinney https://www.syfy.com/syfywire/mark-hamill-josh-gad-mourn-caroll-spinney

Luckily for Jar Jar's actor you never see his face so he could have changed his name and moved on and nobody would know.

Or Hayden Christiansen. Jake Loyd was a really really bad actor - it wasn't just Lucas's bad direction either. He was terrible in Jingle All the Way too. That said he was just a kid so with time he might have gotten better like Jennifer Conally. She was barely able to act in Labyrinth but truly deserved the oscar she got for A brilliant Mind.

NYC was one of the things that made Ghostbusters - some dinky town in the middle of nowhere doesn't cut it. The odds of this being a rental instead of theater movie went way up

Sad to see him go. He did a great job with vastly different characters.

On the villain not being shown. Another possibility is they don't want to show anything till the CGI for the character is DONE. Part of the problem with other CGI characters being shown early is the CGI for them was not final. ACK! - forgot to say this would be a perfect movie to add in some audio themes from the Wonder Woman TV series. (even thought it ended in 79)

Pretty much did just that. I did go see Country Bears (when I went as a kid that was the only thing my dad went to see and I like em too) and the riverboat. Still a perfectly fun day.

The virtual queue was not setup for reliability reasons, it was so all those people could keep shopping while waiting (and a darn good idea too). I hope they start rolling this out for their other rides too. It is good for the people to not stand in a line for an hour and good for Disney since those people will be spending money while waiting for their slot. Anyone with a cell phone could sign up with that and those two without they could rent them a device to handle it. EDIT - I was at DW Thursday and Friday but went to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom instead. I didn't even need to use my fastpasses in the morning. Even the big ticket rides had 15 minute or less lines till about noon. I went on the Haunted Mansion and Pirates twice in a row.

The Mandalorian - Star Wars webseries from Jon Favreau
Dynaman replied to SMS007's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I wonder if any of the filler will be like B5 "Filler" episodes - being stuffed full of important minor bits that become major items later in the series - but I doubt it.- 1438 replies

that's true! The second one had the entire cast and it sucked... I'm looking forward to seeing the old gang again (or most of them at any rate). I don't remember if Rick Moranis was coming out of retirement for this one.

True! Seems like chopping off their head or burning them is a requirement. (or just stabbing them - chopping them in half being a no no)

It seems that falling down a HUGE shaft has no effect on the users of the Dark Side.

He. Doesn't. Talk. Slow... Enough. Toooo. Be.... A Dalek. They did overdo the reverb on his voice though.

At $20 for all of 2199 I figured why not - I plan on switching to all streaming from now on anyway to boot. I have also confirmed that the episodes can be downloaded for viewing offline. Hurray for my upcoming flight. No Analyzer does not sound like a Dalek. That would have been acceptable if not exactly cool (the VA would not have had time to say all of Analyzer's lines at Dalek speed anyway)

To the extent that you think they do - only those run by despots. Which I grant you the First Order, if it had any competence, would be run by despots.

Up to episode of 4 of 2199 (going to work my through all of both series). The only voice that is somewhat iffy is Analyzer. Not terrible but just doesn't seem to fit. Everyone else is doing a good job. This is also one of the very few times I remember where the actual words of the dub are better then the words of the sub in most cases. I'd also rate Shultz's VA as excellent in this one.

I'd say to remind me NEVER to join a military that you are in charge of - but I wouldn't need any reminder.

that kinda IS the definition of being forced. The only real problem is "toughy" was so easily forced into doing so.

Just watched the first dubbed episode of 2199 and the Voice Cast is better then I remember. No obvious zingers yet. Looking forward to watching the whole thing.

Fett at least managed to capture (or lead to the capture) of Han and Leaia. I can't actually remember Phasma doing anything besides getting thrown down the garbage chute. I'm not a Fett fan either mind you. I'm still boggled by the fan adoration of the character.

Yamato 2199 is $20 for the whole thing now. And the first half of 2202 is $10. That is a good price even if I don't like 2202 (I already know I love 2199). So the $30 for the second half of 2202 is not a problem. For those that wait it will probably go down in price in a year.

Well, make a cool character that doesn't actually DO anything cool. At all, ever. And is only really known for being thrown down the garbage chute.

I had to look it up on google. At 5 episodes it is barely more then a movie itself. I do remember hearing about it but not caring - it was still all Star Wars (or SciFi with spaceships) at that point for me still.

I never paid attention that Gwendolyn Christie was Phasma. What a waste of a great actress.
