I wrote this a couple years ago but it is still true so... "It is hard to keep track of the Live Action Robotech "Directors" a they go by"

I forgot all about Black Sheep Squadron. Now that you mention it I do remember him in that as well.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/02/08/entertainment/robert-conrad-obit-trnd/index.html I really liked "The Wild Wild West". Though it is the only character I remember him as.

I don't see the writer having any listing with 2199, only 2202. That makes me nervous.

> The Mars forces defeat the Invid by blasting Crab Rave at them and they all start dancing. There were two great versions of this already. Zoidberg doing the dance of peace and kinda sorta related this video of a crab with a knife. So don't knock it without seeing how it goes (and then most likely knock it...) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WXRN1thFr8

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Dynaman replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Drifting Dragons has a "Valley of the Wind" asthetic (or at least look). Hopefully that one is good. -
Kids Logic Robotech MiniTech (Miniature Technique) Line

If it is the RT Tactics minis you are talking about then you have more dedication then you know. -
Right on! Where is Rock Hudson when you need him? Or is that not what you meant?

Just finished watching 2202 and yup - they blew it big time. All the major changes they made were for the worse and for anyone who has not seen it they made MANY more changes in 2202 compared to the changes they made in 2199. They took all the best parts and messed them up, fleets appear and disappear with no emotional impact of any kind (and often with no logic) and the physical changes done to Gatlantis were an abomination. Don't get me started on that ending...

A couple of kids (adults now) redid the film in stop motion and Disney gave the OK to release it on youtube. It is pretty good.

At least the Banana Splits movie was straight to video. Seeing this does give me an idea though "Scooby Doo on Fantasy Island".
-
2049 was a decent movie and I guess managed to make a slim profit but I'd be really surprised if there is any kind of follow up to it. At least not for a long time and not with the same director.

I'll give it a watch. The only problem I have is the ultra close-ups on the action sequences. I'm getting old and I don't like them. Just cause you can do a thing doesn't mean you should.

The "Kirk Speech" is not know for it's non-preachy message. And I'm sure anyone on the opposite side of the message of the week from TOS found it insulting.

Well, we have a really nice Dana and battle armor figure coming from the other manufacturer so hell already seems to be chilly... Aren't the Masters Saga mecha smaller though? Or is that the Invid? They would be maybe a half inch high if done to 1/285 scale? -
You took off those Rose Tinted glasses eh? Willow had promise but it was not a good movie overall.

I agree with some (Gene was human and certainly did not live up to the ideals of ST that he espoused) but TOS a terrible show? Thems fighting words.

Any other Rifftrax or MST3K fans here? I know we all like monster movies and animation. Well this has all three in one. Just watching the ad for it makes me queasy - I have to buy it and watch the whole thing someday. But first is to watch Robo-Vampire. https://www.rifftrax.com/attack-of-the-super-monsters?fbclid=IwAR2N5cDFtqeM7YFKuHXJFP9C1D63xLqMMifWApQq3XYwaR5VQbR5_6yWZNM

Oh boy - I just have to go putting two and two together due to a bad joke. Everyone knows that Cloning is widespread (if suppressed). Maul should have gone to the underground clone center to have a clone done and then chop off the parts he needed. Star Wars the Clonus Horror anyone?

What could be a problem is some kind of parasite thing might find us tasty. Or vice versa. Either is a remote possibility but with millions (billions?) of star systems in the galaxy...
