    Another reboot? The last one was awesome. (some did not like the CGI of the characters but I did not mind and the story was far better done the older one). I'll still watch this one of course, what we really need is a Black Magic M-66 remake, although the original for that is pretty hard to beat too.

    This is coming to the local Imax theater on February 28th, if anyone wants to see you may want to check your local Imax theater schedule to see if it is coming to your area as well.

    I loved that costume. At least you knew he was the Doctor. Peter Davison's took a while to grow on me though.

    The new Who costumes have been bland but that one takes it to a whole new level of bland. He might as well be working in an office.

    I doubt HG just woke up one day and figured out the Breach of Contract business. They HAVE a legal staff and they should have known. "This stinks like yesterday's diapers"... (assuming HG did know about it, I thought the VP people got HG's permission ahead of time but I was not following it that closely)

    It could be titled "Yo! Gundam Gundam" Although Gundam is slightly better known then most other anime (other then Transformers...) it would not matter what title they chose to use since none of them are well enough known here in the states to make a difference.

    The problem for a plane/robot is weight and complexity. Complexity - we don't even have viable humanoid robotic suits yet, close, but not just yet. (at least not without an external power supply or just a battery which would NOT work for a practical plane). Weight - Many parts for a Robot would be wasted in plane mode (and vice versa). A Valk, being a high performance fighter, needs to have max power to weight ratios (and these days stealth) to be anything other then a target. As an example, the "feet" of a valk are the thrust nozzles in fighter mode - in a real plane if those are even a little off in shape it throws performance way off, and the process that makes a good thrust nozzle makes for very poor "feet".

    I have liked everything he does, even the things I didn't think I would from the description of the show.

    Have to figure out why I can not quote or paste on this machine... Kili was shot by a poisoned arrow, one of the orcs directly states it. I was not impressed, the ending was at a terrible spot, now all the "good" stuff will be in the third movie (battle with Smaug and battle of the five armies). I was sorely tempted to wait for the DVD on this movie and only watched it today on impulse (to see it in Imax on the last weekend it will probably be out). Third movie will surely be a rental.

    Mecha, you are REALLY pushing for items 3 and 4 in your rant there. It is like you were looking for reasons to hate the film.

    Just saw it, what a mess of a movie. Was going to say more but will leave it at heavy handed political diatribe is the best way to describe the film. Think Star Trek at it's preachy worst and you have this film. It did not help that I could not understand 90% of what the bad guy was saying.

    to paraphrase someone else "Her English is a heck of a lot better then my Japanese", she looks a lot better then me too. I do have to wonder about the person that came up with the marketing campaign though.

    Speaking of worst companion, chameleon is up there, but I would be happy to see K9 back for a spell. (edit) - They need to get the show to be more Doctor focused. The reboot has been more of an arch about the companions where the original was focused on the Doctor being the driver of the plot. And last bit of rambling - I was VERY happy to be rid of Rose's family... At least Quote works on this machine...

    Did the forum software change recently? I can't copy or paste anything (or quote). The Daleks found the Dr. Information from one of the people they dalekized. I never understood the hate for Bonnie Langford's companion, she was one heck of a lot better then Tegan and Turlough THEY were the worst comapanions ever. (No reflection on the actors that play them, Tegan's actress is very funny to listen to when she does commentary on her time in DW). As for Clara, no hating allowed for a lovely lady running around in a Plaid Miniskirt! The episode itself was not the best I agree.

    The first one was mediocre, at best. Well, if I can ignore Hunger Games 2 I can ignore this.

    Wesley Snipes for sure on that role. On to more Remake Madness, just read that Gilligan's Island is getting a movie.

    That is as bad as trying to make a Pink Panther movie without Peter Sellers. The very idea that they made one with Alan Arkin just baffles the mind.

    I've seen high quality toys for other Disney films so they do them. If there is a Niche then Disney WILL fill it.

    I think it looks decent. Rather then Groundhog day it reminds me more of "The Time Traveller's Wife" (with pew pew), even though it appears that he dies over and over to go back to the start.

    Looking good actually. I just hope they don't go overboard like the did with Matrix 2 and 3. on my list to see next summer.
