Damn @pengbuzz I knew I was sending that off to good hands, but you blew it out of the water! And then into space!! Love the rigging and the little cosmo fighter. Clearly it was stolen by a certain dimensional sub! And ugh! about the apartment woes. Sounds like it is way past time to get yourself and the better half outa there, and hopefully to something better. Good luck!

More work on the Stingray! Just about finished the shuttle bay areas. I'll do a little greebling before paint, and I got the resin insert fared all the way in under the saucer. Still some clean up to take care of, and I got the lower sensor dome dry-fitted. I snipped off the locking tabs as well as the front tab all the way off, since it'll be sitting flush now. Thom.

Ep 3 was a bit slower, and a little more story-setting. It was nice to see Galadrial's ride on the beach as that is the first time I think she's really smiled. Maybe also the first time she's had even a bit of fun over the last several hundred years. I liked the part with the orcs too. Elves are not invincible and I imagine they were caught piecemeal.

Captain Crunch was the captain of my youth! Probably why I still have an extra few 'ratings' around the 'ole middle.

@Seto Kaiba Thanks. Yeah, pretty much any commander of a ship, no matter the rank, can be called 'Captain.' It's mostly in entertainment where the commander of a ship almost always holds the rank of Captain as well, as though one and the other were not interchangeable.

I'm hoping she (Kane) is playing the character straight rather than comedic. Or not too much.

As to the first, it's all about that assimilation! Due to all the Starleet officer's who 'joined' the Collective, she may know all she has to know! To the second, that is a good point, though I don't recall that happening in ST previously. I may be wrong. They probably wouldn't, but I could imagine her taking a temporary demotion and serving under another captain for a time.

A hobby is just a hobby. I will say, if you do decide to stop, I will certainly miss seeing your builds. They were/are great! But, above all, take care of yourself first.

@mechaninac As to SNW, that first season was great. Very good acting all around, compelling stories and nice FX. If you want comparisons to Diso or Picard, they are 5 out of 10 and below, whereas SNW is 8 out of 10 and above. I'm looking forward to the next season.

Marvel Studios TV Shows and Animation on Disney+

I am really liking this series, the one draw back being the short episodes and sometimes the CG doesn't hold up. Wait, that's two...- 1488 replies

Changes of heart do happen, plus Seven did distinguish herself in action and aboard Stargazer. Although, in the trailer, Picard refers to her as Commander and not Captain, and you can clearly hear her being given approval to 'take her out.' So I wonder if her field commission was bumped down afterward. And if maybe the one in command of the overall ship is actually Riker, sitting in as Captain as Picard has command.

Looking forward to season 2!

Seeing that had me grinning. Other than Crusher firing a phaser rifle. And I like the new Titan, though I'm guessing Riker's had a short lifespan. Seven's looks a little old school, and a little Churchill class melded with some Admiral Buck design cues. And check out this sexy starbase! Wonder what happened to Stargazer?

@pengbuzz If they take you away, I hear it is a happy, funny home.🙃 As said above. the big thing is covered, now all you have to do is take a moment, catch a breath, and then show Fate you ain't taking its sh*t and build something awesome!
-
@pengbuzz Sorry about the lack of compensation. They'll value hundreds of dollars worth of electronic equipment over something made by your hand and imagination. I'm assuming you at least don't have to pay for repaints to your apartment?
-
Great news. There was crickets there for a long while!
-
@azraelTo tell the truth, I wasn't very interested (still ain't) and so didn't read any synopsis. Very good to hear it is not a reboot though. I hope it does well.
-
@pengbuzz What a total cluster fk! So sorry to hear about all that. It sounds like a one in a thousand disaster. On the apartment side, I hope they can fix all that quick, and certainly watch out for mold! As to your lost builds, there are hardly any words. I know I've lost a model a time or two, but that's a kit, and not something really fashioned by hand. Closest I can equate it to would be to type out a paragraph or two of a story and end up losing all of it. Sure, you tell yourself you'll rewrite (rebuild) it better than ever before, but you're right, it still takes the heart out. Taking a step back is a good idea. Take care of yourself first and foremost, and concentrate on the apartment. Thinking of you!

Is this still within his own lifetime..? Probably has a good explanation anyway.

Great looking '19! Nice job.

I was alright with the recap, and agree that would make a good series either. A pre-Prequel.

When I put some plexiglass doors on by booshelf-cum-model cases, I used something similar bought at the local hardware store.
