  1. I hope it is the Living Witness version, and I hope they do him right. At this point, the back-up Doctor would have been active for only 114 years. Voyager was about 70 years away from the Federation at high warp, so that would be plenty of time for him to bop around the galaxy for a little bit, reach the Federation, post Burn, and settle at the Academy when it reopened. I could imagine the character doing a lot of work during the post-Burn era. As for appearance, that's easy enough to just say he's trying to 'look his age.'
  2. @Bolt Thank you! Some comparisons with the previous 1/700 model. And with the Dreadnought. I do wish they had kept the same size as the original kit, as the Dreadnought looks diminutive by comparison!
  3. On with the build, and I decided to drill out these details on the side. I don't know what they are for, either sensors or broadside launchers? Anyway, drilled out. And then filled with cut rod with their ends countersunk for a little extra detail. And then the top deck was put down, which exposed a self-made snafu on my part. There are a lot of lugs and pins to hold all the parts together, and I had glued some too early, and then had not fully seated them, so the sides would not squeeze in. Ended up clipping out most of them, so I am now going down the seams with glue and pressure/ Thom
  4. If this has the same showrunners/writers as Disco, then that would be a bad sign. But having Picardo and 'Dadmiral' are good signs. Fehr was the only character I really liked on that show.
  5. So, hitting a bit of a sow down on my F-8 build, I decided to do a 'quick' sci-fi to see if I can break the pattern I've got. Quick being relative, as we rarely see eye to eye. So, I am starting with Bandai's 1/1000 AAA-class Andromeda kit, I'll be using the superstructure from the Ginga kit, In order to make an Aquarius variant. Some changes will be made, the dome shape from the front will be replaced, either by more squared details and maybe lowering it some, or even a third turret. We'll see how it goes. And I'll also be bulking up the lower hull scoop, like I did with the Nike. For now, we're starting with the some interior structure used to support the hull sides. But pretty quick I needed to do some extra work. There's a lower door in the stern, similar to that on the Yamato where the fighter's launch from. It is meant to open, but with nothing to see inside, I've decided to glue it shut. The fit is not perfect though, so I added a shim to one side to close it up. After that, I cleaned up some mold lines on the aux engine nacelles. And then started putting the hull sides on. Gotta hand it to Bandai, this fits together real nice! More updates to come, hopefully at the double-quick! Thom https://imgur.com/a/0gzprLs
  6. Okay, good to know! As to decals, don't have any spares, unfortunately. Is the only problem the shape of the letters/numbers? If so, they look alright to me. They do look a little different, but not too much, IMO. Just as reference, here's a pic of the filming model.
  7. Take it easy on yourself, Pengbuzz, there is only one you! Listen to your Doc! Also, noting there are a lot of errors in your messaging. Don't know if you were just in a hurry/tired or what, but take note of it. Be safe, my friend.
  8. Hey @pengbuzz sorry things are getting too stressed. Models can wait where stress cannot, so take it easy. You know what is best for you. @nonner242 has a good idea, basically change tack and do something else you like for a while. You do some pretty good photo compositing, putting models in space, so maybe hit that for a while? As for @nonner242 those are some pretty cool drawings!
  9. Like your color choices there @nonner242. And is that the Car?!
  10. What a great film! The plot did seam to lose its way a few times - but I didn't care! Deadpool and Pulverine, on the screen, together! It was a wild and fun ride and right of there with the best of Deadpool. I just have one caveat... Otherwise, an awesome movie, I hardly felt the hours go by.
  11. Which is odd since they've had great success with the 'Disney Princess' theme. You'd think it would be easy to translate that formula to another franchise. To be clear, I have very little problem with 'girl power,' in fact less than most apparently, but even I can see when they've stubbed their toes.
  12. Need to watch out for the Carpet Monster with those!
  13. For a Hot Wheels?! Dang that is tiny!
  14. Yeah, I don't need 'dark and gritty' in Star Trek. The same thing bit it in Battlestar Galactica, and Paramount can't seem to do it well anyway. Give me Star Trek Legacy, Paramount!
  15. @HWR MKII Wow, she looks great!
  16. Yeah, I have to say that I have no interest in this Section 31 thing. Give me Star Trek Legacy!
  17. Season 3 teaser is out. Or, more of a clip. Anson has even more bigger hair!
  18. Yeah, I'd rather watch it in one go. And I do have the Celestial Ark movie! That was great!
  19. If so, the question is, do I watch it episode by episode or wait until it is all out!?
  20. ENVYUU!! I'll have to wait until it is streaming and English subtitled!😪
  21. I wonder if, when it comes out, you could contact the company and just get specific parts..? I did the same with Moebius, contacting them direct when they were doing the Galactica models, and even buying 'damaged' kits.
