I wonder if that is to accommodate the housing for the newer lighting set-up. I do like the better detail on it.

I have to come back and say that I did buy a few items from them. This was several months go now, but I did get good service and quick shipment. Again, several months ago.

I know I don't have that mould of the kit! Definitely looks like it makes lighting a breeze.

@peter Just that little bit really helps to complete the look. And it's always a little strange to see sci fi ships from different universes sharing the same 'stage.'

@peter Real nice on the shading!

For scribing, I use dymo tape (LABEL MAKER'S TAPE) as a hard edge. And sometimes, Tamiya Tape for Curves is also good, as long as you just use it as a guide and not a hard-edge to press against. Also best, to not press into the plastic. Act like you are simply drawing a line on it. A light touch is a better touch.

Nice with the base. Is it going to have a space or schematic underneath it? And cool news about the Cat's Eye!

@derex3592 I envy your organizational skillz!! My work station is a pig sty... @peter Thank you! I made some goofs on it, in which a second kit came in very handy!! I guess I'm glad to be some influence. And that is a nice collection of parts, sure to be made into something quite cool. @MechTech Your mech is coming into fine shape. @505thAirborne Yes, a Mk XIV. It's the new Airfix kit, and I'm doing it as the second marking option, the all metal Race 80.

,,,and the Air Force may be retiring the F-22 early. https://www.popularmechanics.com/military/aviation/a36421838/air-force-plans-retire-f-22-raptor-downsizing-fighter-fleet/

So, apparently the pilot here shouldn't be as honored as he is... According to this, the pilot had been warned during the flight that his plane was laying smoke. Rather than landing immediately, he decided to do another circuit of the air show, at which point is engine - now lacking oil - seized. So, entirely avoidable...

Looks loaded for bear and ready to take ass and kick names! Nice job!

That's a great looking bash! Those super parts fit really well with it, and the colors are good too.
-
Wow, love it!

Since it's just a prototype, I'm sure we'll see a more refined version before long. (?)

Looks like we're getting a new carrier model. Really hoping it's 1/1000!

Rocker covers on, clipped wing-tips in place and cleaning up some seams. Moving along!

I'm just taking what was said at face value. Like the 'Antifa Nazi' stuff. I didn't get that at all when the character referenced Nazis in the first episode, and that phrase is pretty hard right.

Watched the first two episodes today. Because of earlier comments I was expecting some hard right fanatic stuff, but really I didn't see that at all. It was actually pretty good. Yes, the special effects aren't as polished, but I regularly watch CW shows, and they are above that bar. Didn't mind the flashbacks either as they were interesting and added to the story. Don't understand why the son was being criticized for for killing that bad guy. They were losing, had already lost three of their team and he was threatening to blow all the rest up. I'm all for criminals standing trial for Justice, but sometimes you gotta make the hard call. I'll be in for watching some more.

@peter A plus about using mismatched parts is that you can model a Valk that had an arm or leg replaced from a machine with a different color. Like the B-17's that had wing or fuselage swap-outs,

Thankfully, she is in for preservation and not restoration. Too much history to erase there!

Great! Can't wait to see more of your progress. As to here or the other thread, I'd say leave it as its own thread. 'What's Lying On You Workbench' feels more like a glimpse of current projects, rather than an in-depth look at one.

Got this image off another site. It's the Hero T-70 from RoS going into the Smithsonian. Check who is sitting one space over...

So, now we really know what happened to Minmay. She got trapped in your diorama!! Looks very cool though. I'm sure she's quite happy there.
