    I'll admit, the got me good. They kept ass pulling new subplots and mechanics on the double, with steriods, through this finale, just so they could finally reached guren lagan proportions of joke. It took 11 eps to setup this masterpiece, but we finally got here. Spaceballs for gundam. I was laughing all ep.

    Yeah, the slim's what I got. Not the original white one (my launch day one RROD'd, but actually lasted until it was out of warranty and the S was out). Not the E that looked sort of like a mini Xbox One. I should have a Kinect for it, too. I don't need $100 for it, it's just been sitting in my closet. Hit me up when things are going better for you.

    Likewise. I get why it's included when it is, but I never use it. Just give me the character and his/her usual weapon(s) and put any additional leftover budget into engineering, paint, or tampo.

    Mine is the original version, I've been looking at slims though, really wanna get my hands on the Halo Reach edition, I love how that sucker looks but most want 100+ with no drive. I've got a lot of medical issues going on lately, spent close to a grand with no answers what's wrong with me, so 360 is way on the back burner. Plus I gotta get repairs on the famicom and super famicom. Famicon doesn't have a good Player 1 controller, and Super Famicom has an audio issue where I found bad traces around the C61 capacitor leading to the chip dealing with Audio. : / just not my month.

    My Reskit F-35 pilot arrived today and I got straight to work cleaning him up and doing an extraction surgery to remove him from the ejection seat. There were some butt puckering moments sawing and cutting on the brittle resin, but I managed to separate him from the seat without any issues. I had to do a lot of sanding, some more butt puckering time under hot water to squeeze his legs closer together, and an emergency footectomy to get him to fit, but the task was (mostly) accomplished. The kit cockpit and pilot are fairly under scale and the F-35 figure is a good deal larger, so the canopy will not quite fit closed without a large amount of additional modification, but I planned to have an open canopy anyway, so no problem. I'll finish cleanup and I'm probably going to cut his pinky off and sculpt it back on closed to change his hand gesture from "hang ten" to "thumbs up"... Then it's time to throw some primer on him so I can start painting. All snug for a rest fit. He's a little large compared to the scale of the cockpit,but it's not too bad. The canopy doesn't quite fit closed. No problem since I planned to build it open anyway. The seat does almost look comically small from the side. I may cut the head rest off and scratch build a new one. After sanding and a footectomy... Next to the kit figure. He's much more chonky.

    Nah, GQuuuuuuX just barely tosses that nonsense in at the very end as a way to justify the Rose of Sharon peace-ing out. GQuuuuuuX is, in the main, a "fix fic" for Zeon glazers and Gihren's Greed fanboys who've spent literal decades arguing that the Federation are the real Bad Guys in Gundam and that the Universal Century would be a much less grim timeline if the Principality of Zeon had won the war. The whole "Char has a red RX-78 Gundam" schtick is literally straight out of one of the routes in Gihren's Greed. The Federation's practically absent from the main story because Zeon's power is unmatched, Zeon is protecting the autonomy of spacenoids, and Zeon's war crimes are dismissed out of hand. It even indulges in a bunch of Zeon fan memes like mass producing the Big Zam being a major key to Zeon's strength. At the end, when the dust settles... It's actually even more "by fans for fans" than you're giving it credit for. Her backstory in GQuuuuuuX is based on Tomino's novels like Secret Meeting - Amuro and Lalah, which do make it clear that Char and Lalah had an actual relationship and that Char was jealous of Amuro and Lalah's friendship. That's also where the idea that he found her in that high-class brothel and bought her freedom came from.

    If the budget for the mace went elsewhere, I'm ok with it. I never use Optimus's axe anyway.

    I watched the first two episodes of IronHeart... I have to agree with critics it's been a pretty mediocre show so far. The characters are for the most part unlikable or obnoxious, and their motivations all over the place.

    Wasn't the RX-78-2 in Ready Player One a last minute licensing-induced plot substitution? IIRC, it was meant to be Ultraman but they couldn't get the rights. Anyway...
