  1. Past hour
  2. I still haven't taken my DX YF-21 or YF-19 out of their boxes but I made sure that both were in good condition. I need to take them out when I get a chance. I have too many toys.
  3. I agree for the most part. Really expected more and didn’t even realize that this was the last episode. I was kinda ok with the show until I heard that.
  4. Of the three Batmobiles, the BvS is my favorite design and, IMHO, the worst execution among the three sets. I think the designers did a far better job capturing the B&R and The Batman Batmobiles. I'll still get the BvS and The Batman sets, but I think I prefer the original BvS Batmobile set (76045) they released in 2016. This new set has a lot more sculpting, but after consulting my BvS Tech Manual which discusses the development of the movie's various props, with all the parts at their disposal, being a collector of the Speed Champions line, and having looked at a few MOCs, I just don't feel like they captured the car very well, or at least not as well as I would have expected, especially given what they've accomplished with the SC line. Too, in an interview, the designers discussed eschewing the OG two-part canopy elements in preference of just using the regular one piece curved windshield. Personally, I'd have rather they used the two-piece canopy which was more authentic and designed specifically for this Batmobile. Obviously, the old set is simplified, but I think it captures the shaping better than the new set. YMMV. Since they seem to be cranking out more and more media related Batmobiles, I'm hoping there's an Arkham Asylum Batmobile in the works and that they make it every bit as excellent as 2021's Tumbler set (76239). Furthermore, I hope they put every ounce of effort into imbuing it with all of its functions and details. That would make for an extraordinarily fun model to build and play with. I never cared for the Clooneymobile, and honestly, this set isn't selling it to me, either. OTOH, it might make for a good parts set. FWIW, I think the designers did a good capture of the overall look. The car itself was just never to my taste.
  5. Today
  6. The new deals with hg came up a while after the Bandai 1/72 kit and most of the og Macross toys get a Japan only label, but the toys are at least available at other sites
  7. I really wish they were purposely emphatic and unambiguous about announcing PO times; it would make life easier for everyone and give members, like me, some validation for purchasing said membership. I don't understand why, as in the past, they don't initiate POs for stuff shown that day, future product notwithstanding, following the stream instead of piecemealing the POs out over multiple days, which not only becomes confusing but also may pose a hindrance if you have plans. I rarely have plans, but it just so happens we're taking my mother-in-law out to lunch tomorrow and I'm hoping we'll be done eating before POs come up. Actually, I'm hoping to be home, as I hate trying to make purchases on my phone- much easier on my desktop. Anyway, huge thanks for the info, Mike. You're awesome.
  8. While it has its flaws, it's still a pretty decent toy and if your preference is to display in battroid, the DX makes for a superior display model over the old skinny-legged, wobbly-hipped Yamato, IMHO. Congrats on the find, on a great price, and on being the owner of an unblemished copy. I hope you enjoy it! 👍
  9. Yesterday
  10. I had actually picked up a 2nd copy when I was checking around during prime deals day. It wasn't one of the prime deals, but seeing it was 180, I still got it. Even with the replacement I got from Bandai, on closer inspection of the replacement parts, the head laser was still slightly bent and the canopy hinge still had cracks in it. So I will keep my original one in battroid mode with the blacked out canopy in use. The new one I got was perfect. No cracked canopy hinges, no cracked anything, as far as I can tell on initial inspection and no stress marks or bends on the head laser.
  11. Yeah I got to admit, that was the laziest piece of writing for a finale as you could possibly get. As if Gunn just had no idea how to finish it and just randomized everything. I thought there was gonna be a big battle or something.
  12. I will give credit to Gunn for introducing me to some fun little rockers. Nothing on the level of Band Maid from Season 1, but the immature idiot in me enjoyed “F@&king My Heart in the Ass.” And the line “And God knows I’ve had some rough f&@king years” and that whole Foxy Shazam intro song really ties well with this season and has a sneaky resonate message.
  13. You've been pretty lucky I guess. Out of the entire HG 1/100 Macross line, the entire Armored Core VI line, every RG and MG for the last 2 years... I haven't gotten a single pre-order filled at initial release. I did manage to get a stash of 6 VF-22 Max/Miria decal sets, not sure how I got so lucky. I think I got 1 YF-29 Max, 1 YF-21, and 1 Fire Valkyrie way after release. Gundam stuff just never gets filled so I wind up canceling the orders when stock turns up local. I think I got 2 of the Armored Core kits well after release. And yes, it does look like HG has rights to original Macross characters and mecha worldwide outside Japan. Still, that isn't stopping other companies from making kits, and Bandai had their own 1/72 VF-1 a while back, and I think they are still doing the pre-completed VF-1 toys? I'll get the Wave 1/100s if I need to, but I'd rather Bandai do a series. Especially since the Wave kits available now are just movie versions.
  14. That was the finale????!!!!! I thought there was gonna be at least another episode or two. That is crappy if it was the finale.
  15. Maybe it's an alt Flag, Sr.? But yes, if I were to nitpick....his character seems not to be consistent with his character from Creature Commandos......
  16. I think unfortunately the rest of the world tends to be put into that rule. From my understanding they have a pretty tough time getting these items as well and are also getting mainly Robotech labeled items. There’s been plenty of people complaining about not getting their preorders fulfilled until later batches. I haven’t had that problem until recently trying to get the Gallus-J from ZZ Gundam. Although only a few months after the initial release they did get another batch and it’s now sitting in my private warehouse. I’m hoping that if the do stuff for og Macross that they will honor preorders quickly when there’s not enough stock. And I hope they at least pump out enough for everyone to get them not too far after initial release
  17. I do not know about Mugen Gacha. I hope it gets better soon.
  18. I haven’t watched Creature Commandos, but
  19. Line art comparison for the nose. Cockpit is bigger on the 24 as well, though how much of that was 'intended' vs just 'how they drew it for the 5 seconds it was on a monitor in the background', I'm not sure.

    HMR VF-19P

Yep it's already been known that the speaker units don't rotate.
  21. I know of the awkward complicated issues surrounding VF-1 merch being officially sold in the US. Bandai doesn't want japanese sites to sell kits to the US because they want to sell kits through stateside distributors. And the stateside distributors can't carry the VF-1 stuff because of the Harmony Gold agreement. So that makes selling a Bandai VF-1 domestically a no go for the time being. However. Harmony Gold can't stop people from buying VF-1 kits from Japan, which is why we can easily get the Hasegawa and PLAMAX kits. And since HLJ is kinda sorta being allowed to break the 'dont sell to the US' rule (though they seem to be allocated much less Bandai stock now as a result), it stands to reason that HLJ could sell a hypothetical Bandai VF-1 kit to the US, as long as Bandai gives them stock allocation. And since they can't sell it locally in the US, I don't see why they wouldn't allow HLJ to sell some to the US, since there's no domestic distribution to compete with, because of the Harmony Gold stuff. It doesn't seem like kits imported to the US by buyers (not retailers) violate the agreement. And even if HLJ couldn't get stock and sell to the US, I'm sure there would be other ways to get them. But the main thing is, even if the US market had no access to them at all, I doubt Bandai would miss the opportunity to sell a HG VF-1 to the entire rest of the world. And I imagine a robust possibility of people across the world acquiring some to sell to the US through auctions and second-hand sites. No mistake, I think they'd be hard to get in the US for a while, if HLJ was the only place you could order from in Japan, knowing that it's hard in general to get Bandai items from HLJ anywhere near release date.
