jenius Posted yesterday at 06:10 AM Posted yesterday at 06:10 AM Oof, tough teaser going full video game cut scene. Quote
lechuck Posted yesterday at 06:20 AM Posted yesterday at 06:20 AM (edited) https://www.votoms-gh.com/ Looking forward to it. Wonder if it will be another chapter in Chirico's life or someone different as main character this time? "Die Graue Hexe" is German and translates to "The Grey Witch". I'm sure he'd prefer it was live-action. Quote
Dynaman Posted yesterday at 08:54 PM Posted yesterday at 08:54 PM I always liked the VOTOMS designs but have not watched the anime since I think it would feel too dated now. I'll have to give this one a watch. Quote

I'll have to give this one a watch. The only big issue I have with the old show is that there are a few too many clip show episodes. They made the tv series in four batches and each part was a different story arc since they were scare the show would be cancelled they wanted some type of ending with each batch of episodes, but they also put in a clip show or two in each batch to catch people up. Other than that, it was a mid 80’s sunrise show and more coherent of a story than gundam of the time and actually had a very epic storyline that really pushes the imagination. I’d say that if you’re ok with mid 80’s shows then this won’t feel bad at all, the animation is far more consistent than og Macross, but at the same time not as flashy as og Macross could be. Another big bonus to the show is that the main character is a seasoned soldier that has fought in many battles and post war operations and not some kid that has never even driven a car. Quote
jenius Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I just rewatched it with my son, it was fun. Less of a grind than Dougram (which I also enjoy). It has some pacing issues but overall, I'm still a big fan. Quote
