Demon Slayer.

Wow.  After years of Kimetsu no Yaiba merchandise flooding Japan, at a wide variety of scales, styles, and price points, these McFarlane figures are easily the worst I've seen.  The poses, the proportions, and the articulation is shockingly poor.

Heck, their AKIRA line produced better anime figures two decades ago. 🤨

Kickstarter Medieval Spawn.

My problem with it is the base design deviates from the original comic book.  People still want a highly poseable version of that classic look.  The details here are cool but it still deviates from the original just like the newer Midieval Spawn from the recent comics does.

Will this be an articulated figure or a statue? It doesn’t look like the one displayed has any joints, but it’s definitely impressive on the details.

I remember the medieval Spawn as my second figure from the original line. At the time, I thought it was the coolest comic book action figure. I think that’s been the closest to his original appearance.
I also wouldn’t mind the Greg Capullo version from the spawn bible as an articulated figure rather than the more statue like one.3DD00995-4130-4652-AA58-F58C77811214.jpeg.550c7f0bbe3951bda1d45082ec32d6bf.jpeg

That's just the sculpt prototype.  Yes it will be articulated.  Unfortunately it doesn't look like that original figure, which was actually my first Spawn figure because I thought it was cooler than the original.

The current Spawn's Universe Midievla Spawn figure is pretty close to the Capullo one there.

I agree.

Is this Medieval Spawn only available through the kickstarter, or will it become retail?

Movie Maniacs statues.  Some Matrix figures would be nice.

2023 and Neo, one of the most articulated movie characters, will still be reproduced as a statue.

And, a Neo from the first film with no guns, because you know, guns on a statue for an adult collector is extremely worrisome.

It's this one, right? Yeah, it would be nice if they continue with this design and updated it with those details.

Also, I also don't mind Brandon Peterson's take based from Todd's classic first appearance look. Would be nice to have that too. With horse. ;)

With today's tech and design when it comes to figure making, how I really wish Todd still has Angela.

That’s the statue one I was talking about. It was listed as an action figure, but it really was just a plastic statue. It looks amazing on a shelf, but my imagination at the time always wanted an articulated version.

The one below was the figure I referred to as my second spawn action figure. I have a permanent scar on my pointer finger from opening it. That one had the clam shell packaging with the mini comic. It he plastic was so sharp when I cut the top to open it that it sliced into my left pointer finger. It cut deep, but I remember being out of band aids and had to tape it together to stop the bleeding. It didn’t stop me from getting to the figure for long though.2AEF1FFC-D889-4A3F-BB2A-5D2E19C8A54A.jpeg.cac0d82d2e84ef4701e0ac09a3b004d4.jpeg

It took some real confidence for Brainiac to come out back in those days. He appeared on a children’s cartoon and wasn’t trying to hide it at all. Hot pink polo and didn’t even bother with pants. The Legion of Doom was a very progressive organization back then.
