All the usual places I get Hase kits seemed to skip over the resin. Hlj had them, but are currently back ordered. and Hobby search still shows in stock. I don’t think any North American places had them though. They’ve been waffling on wether to carry Macross stuff from the og series and the DYRL movie, and I didn’t notice any that listed these Quote

Not sure what to do with the leftover super parts though. My plan is to basically swap the decals with a regular 1/48 VF-1J/A kit. I’ll build the standard kit as a Black Aces and the Super kit as a brown cannon fodder Super VF-1A. Quote
KOG Water Dragon Posted July 10 Author Posted July 10 FYI, it is officially out. I got notification from HLJ some days ago. Quote

Come on, Hasegawa..... quit sleeping on the VF-25A. You have all the parts for it, just need to mold the VF-25G in a neutral color and ship it with a standard gunpod. It'd sell like *dango*... Quote

It's not like them to miss out on an opportunity for an easy rebox. I'd love a bespoke VF-25A release to A) get a unique decal sheet for it, and way more importantly B) get some sweet VF-25A box art. More boxings = more box art. And I love the box art.. 😭 Quote

Raikkonen Posted July 30 Posted July 30 The HLJ shipping delays continues. https://support.hlj.com/hc/en-us/articles/49333411310361-An-Apology-From-HLJ-Regarding-Shipping-Delays Dear Customers, We've made some mistakes in the last couple of months. Crucially, we've been undergoing an exciting warehouse evolution, and we underestimated the delays that this would cause to shipments. As we did in yesterday's Private Warehouse email, we want to formally apologize to you, the customer. We appreciate that anyone who has placed a shipment in late June or July will likely have experienced dispatch delays, and we know we could have done more to communicate these delays to you all. We're sincerely sorry to disruption this may have caused to your hobby life. Currently some shipments are still experiencing delays of up to 14 days in the dispatch process. Our previous shelf-based storage of the past has now been replaced with a new high-tech robotic system that makes us able to store more products than ever before. Although construction is now complete, we've had to adapt to the new system and spend lot of resources catching up on the backlog created during construction. The good news is that the system will allow us to make our Private Warehouse and service even better for everyone, and we can't wait to announce what we have planned, but we have to wait a little longer before we can officially announce any changes to the system. At the moment, we're clearing through the current backlog as fast as we can, and we believe delays should not continue for much longer. We sincerely appreciate your support during this time, and we especially appreciate anyone who has continued to order request shipments during this period. We promise that we'll be back up to speed soon, and our Private Warehouse service will become even stronger as a result. We will continue to provide updates on the likelihood of delays as the situation improves. Thank you, HLJ Team Quote
Bolt Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Looking at getting all of my Hasegawa loot out of private warehouse. Can't seem to get any options , other than EMS and air. I'm probably gonna continue to wait it out , as hlj seems to be fine holding my loot. Quote

I mean brand new decal/scheme variants though... would be nice to see alternate squadron versions of the VF-1 gerwalks, VF-25 series, VF-31 series... since they haven't gotten any yet. But I'd easily spend money on fun new marking versions of the VF-1, VF-11, YF-19, YF-21, VF-0, etc... As for Black Aces... I dunno. I'm sitting on 3 of the 1/72s and 2 of the 1/48s right now. I THINK the 1/72 technically has 4 build options in the box, and the 1/48 has 5. Part of me wants to go crazy and buy 1 more 1/72 and 3 more 1/48. My more rational side says no way in hell, you'd never build all of them. Having 5 of the 1/48 sitting around would be kind of insane. Quote

VF-1A Grunt Posted August 8 Posted August 8 I'm sure like most of you, I received an email from HLJ this morning warning about the impact of the impending tariff on Japan that goes into effect at the end of August. In case you didn't get it, the email states, "The recent announcement implies that a flat-rate fee will be added to shipments valued at under $800, based on the effective IEEPA Tariff rate decided by the US government. These charges begin at $80 dollars and increase depending on the tariff rate of the country of origin." And, "Therefore, we would like to advise customers in the US to prepare for the possibility of tariffs also being applied to JP post methods following August 29th." I decided it was time to ship the items in my Private Warehouse in the hopes that they'll ship / arrive before the deadline. I had two Hasegawa models, the 1/72 VF-1J Armored Valkyrie Operation Bullseye Part 2 and the Queadluun-Rau "General Machine," plus the PLAMAX "Max" VF-1A Battroid. I decided to add a Hasegawa 1/48 VF-1J/A Vermilion Squadron as well. The point of this post is to note something odd with the HLJ pricing that I haven't seen before (maybe others have). HLJ lists the 1/48 VF-1J/A as $26.10 USD, but when the purchase went through, the price was ¥3,230 = $21.89. The EMS shipping option was showing as about $96 for the four models (ouch), but when I actually shipped the order, it came out to "only" ¥11,890 = $80.44. The shipping transaction is still pending with my credit card, but that's what the email receipt says. That was a pleasant surprise that everything didn't cost quite as much as I was expecting, so I wanted to pass that along. I'm probably going to hold off on shipping anything else for a while, since HLJ is being generous with their extended hold time in the Private Warehouse. We're planning another trip to Japan next summer, so I may need to take a second extra suitcase to bring more things back than I normally do. Quote

I have a lot that needs shipping. So it's either rush to ship everything now, which will for sure cost a ton to ship everything at once, or sit it out and see how things go, let some stuff rest in the private warehouse, and risk having to pay even more with tariffs factored in when I finally DO ship. With all my orders from Japan generally, and HLJ too, the initial shipping costs are likely an estimate. This is likely due to exchange rates. Also had this with my recent HLJ order and I'm in Europe. Shipping was 32 Euro, then ended up being 26 Euro. Edited August 9 by Raikkonen Quote
