I have no interest in a giant chunky monkey... 1/35 scale is the upper reaches for me and I'd rather it be an improvement on the DX toy if it were that big. Woner what that would cost as a commisioned piece? I’m aware of oversized KOs and I know some are good or better quality than the originals. Just had to qualify that I need those standards to consider purchasing. I am no expert in 3D printing so I'll take your word on it....with that said....none of the super-sized toys that have been released were in my opinion an attempt at making them better.....I think they have just been an exercise in the line of thought that by virtue of size alone "Bigger is Better"....perhaps also a bit of a nod to the old school Jumbo Machinder beasts. I guess the closest thing to what such a jumbo scaled chunky would be like....is a completely niche boutique style toy....like those super-sized vintage Star Wars carded figures....not my cup of tea....but clearly someone likes them as they keep releasing them. Just for your info, the 1/48 Yamato's (with a few exceptions) and 1/60 Yamato's that have since been made "obsolete" with newer versions, such as the Bandai DX YF-19, have more or less lost much of their value. It really doesn't make much of a difference to the current market price wether it is opened/used/displayed or MISB, unless you happen to find a collector who insists on MISB or "brand new, never removed from box"....in that case I would estimate that you can possibly get a 10-20% premium on top of the market price of used samples.
