Getting to be a growing thing. Still hoping the Queadluun Rau tv version is on time at the end of the month and I’m hoping I can ship it all. Hoping not to get totally reamed by the tariff collectors tax Quote

Hoping not to get totally reamed by the tariff collectors tax I tried a few different combos of items in my private warehouse for shipping to see what the max can be for their cheapest method and it’s still looking like $$$. I can wait on shipping for now when looking at my stash and hope the tariff nonsense changes soon. Quote

It won’t be too much longer till they start charging for private warehouse at hlj, not sure how much that will be Quote
electric indigo Posted November 8 Posted November 8 That Bellvine is so tempting, but my stash is crushing me already. It's great to see what injection molding can do recently, it feels like exponential progress over the last years – but that also means even more kits to choose from. I'm currently on what I hope to be the final stretches of this early kit from the Moderoid line, the Deer Stalker R x R. Still lots of masking to do. Quote

I skipped it, but kinda feel some regret about that decision Quote
electric indigo Posted November 8 Posted November 8 You can still get one at Hobbysearch. Details & fit are great, but the tolerances are too tight in some places so there are problems getting the parts into their end position. Compared to Bandai or recent Moderoids, this one at times feels like working on a garage kit. Quote

I want it, just not sure if I should pull the trigger or not. When I see pictures of it is when it gets tough Quote

Apparently, it's from a game franchise called Iron Saga, but illustrations are sparse, and I don't know who designed it. I also only found one modeler who finished a painted kit. The Deer Stalker is about the size of a MG kit, and the BFG is included. Quote

I’m a sucker for the BFG’s hence my obsession with FSS. I am still looking for a fair priced Blassty kit like the fantastic build you had posted awhile back. Yet again, another series I had never heard of. Lol Quote
Papa Rat Posted November 8 Posted November 8 It’s paint day so finally get my lazy butt cleaning out the spray booth and laying down some fresh paper. No more dust. Fingers crossed. Quote

From what I understand, the offer in the Goosmile shop gives you two full kits, so that's a pretty good price: https://www.goodsmileus.com/collections/blassty Quote

To be honest, I think the BFG there kinda overshadows the overall design. Maybe if it were at least a different color or something. The base design looks very elegant though Quote

Too bad it not just both types though, but still a cool deal Quote
Rock Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Not much time this day as finishing up other project before winter hits. Visiting the backlog and pulled out on a whim. Feels good to finally be making progress on this old gal. Quote
Thom Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Looks like we're about to see a street race between a Quad and a Messiah! Very nice @Cheese3! Quote

Papa Rat Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Gloss it up! I’m on the final stretch. Lots a small details to dial in and after panel lining I will put a flat finish on the frame parts. Hope to finish this up this 1:144 Neptune in the next couple days. My masking wasn’t a total fail which was nice. Quote

Thom Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Wow, some awesome builds going on! @pengbuzz that Batmobile looks great and I like the way you have it displayed. Hope everything else is going alright for you and your lady. 'Alright' being subjective, of course. You do really good on the paint jobs, @Papa Rat! And nice work on the cockpit, @nightmareB4macross. Here's mine for my 1/72 Sea Vixen. Used Eduard PE, and I was going to use replacement seats, seeing how the ones in the kit are more 1/100 than 1/72, but the replacements were too big. (Also for the wrong plane, but the size mattered most.) Ended up cutting the seats into thirds and adding material for the back and pan to raise the headrest and lengthen the seat area. Thom Quote

IronRaptor Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Got my hands on a few studio halfeye kits. Here is my 19. Currently test fitting this thing. Checking over all the parts to make sure they fit proper and don't need any mod work. Quote

While we're not going to starve, this does mean Thanksgiving and Christmas are pretty much sunk, and future projects are not possible. I just wanted to see this final one through. Take care folks. -Robert Quote
