Interest in 1:48 Pylon/Missiles for VF-1

THOR

Recommended Posts

Just completed drawings to have 1:48 pylons and missiles for my Hase Vf-1.

I'll have masters in 2-3 weeks if not earlier.

Would anyone else like them?

That looks very nice. You should consider doing up some DYRL weapons as well, you know its only a matter of time till hasegawa maked that variant. Also there were scenes in DYRL where the fighters were flying with full pods without fast packs.

I plan to sell as a set of four pylons and 12 missiles.

My goal is to have the missiles fit nicely onto the pylon.

I'll have masters done in 2 weeks and then will start casting.

If there are other misssiles, post pics and I'll see what I can do.

I'd like to do the YF-19 missiles/bombs after this...

The masters will be printed in 3d using SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) & cleaned up by me wherever i'm not satisfied with the surface finish.

I doubt I'll be able to do PE for a little while unless I find out it's terrible easy to do. I bought the Micro-Mark kit and it's on the way so I can start tinkering.

Here is the model of a tire I made in 1/24th scale in Solidworks 9:

Here is that tire printed out (on left) using SLS (low resolution):

These are exciting times because I can print anything I can draw in just about any scale....

i want to eventually make a Gerwalk conversion kit...

THOR,

That is beyond awesome! :)

I have a suggestion for the future - what about making some of the Macross ground support stuff in 1/48th? The deck tractor, the loading cradle for the Gunpod, that kind of thing?

sounds good to me...i'll just need to round up line drawings from macross. i've seen them on other threads....

I know some of that line art is in Perfect Memory, but I don't know if I could get usable scans for you.

I'd be interested in the flaps, slats AND spoilers. You should looking into how a real-world fowler flap works for reference, I made some mistakes making my 1/72 up (ah, I was young and naive ;-) But I'd be interested in the spoilers too (like the resin kit) and probably pockets in the wing for the spoilers and slats (you'd probably want to cast the wing with the spoiler pockets too since the slats would need recesses for the extension rails too)

I'm late! sorry only noticed this thread! I'm in for one set of the flaps, slats and struts, so awesome. anyways i'll PM.

Your doing the Tail Wing flaps/control surfaces right? There has gotta be a way, other than just cutting into the wing by myself. lol oh and please excuse the terminology mistakes.
