  1. Yeah, they removed old Indy from when the series was released on dvd dating back to 2007. This was before Disney purchased Lucasfilm or Crystal Skull even existed for those wondering.
  2. The Cobi bricks Corsair. Well one of the four historical variants they've released to this point.
  3. They both look ugly and chunky compared to the Cobi Bricks Corsairs.
  4. More like the road to hell is paved with good intentions. When you look into the backstory of this film and what it's based on you start to wonder how this film even got green lit in the first place. Let me put it this way, there is a damn good reason Lupita Nyong'o who played Nakia in Black Panther turned down the lead role and withdrew from the project after she did her own research into what the Kingdom of Dahomey was. It gets worse when you see reviews give it 8/10 for cinematography and acting, while grading it a 4/10 for historical accuracy. The studio got so much backlash they've stopped marketing it as "based on a true story" and labeled it as "alternate historical fiction".
  5. If anyone needs a brush up on the rules and lines of succesion, here you go...
  6. Oh he did! He just has terrible luck. After the B-17 flight the next day he was getting ready to head home when the alternator blew on his truck. Good thing he's also a mechanic! Anyways he starting uploading video of his flights to youtube if you want an idea what a flight on a warbird is like.
  7. My brother after two years of waiting finally got his warbird flight on the B-25J Mitchell "Maid In The Shade" yesterday. I bought him the ticket to fly two years ago, but it got cancelled due to bad weather, then covid happened and cancelled the tour for the next year. Sorry to post his ugly mug, but you just can't replace that look of pure joy of an older guy getting in touch with his inner child. The real kicker once the flight ended a photographer friend of his that also took the B-25 flight experience bought my brother a ticket for today on the B-17G Sentimental Journey that accompanies the B-25 on it's tour.
  8. Anybody else notice the "darkstar" is essentially a more angular version of the old "F-19 Stealth" that had a bunch of kits and toys made of it back in the 80s and 90s?
  9. That's kind of what happened with the original film. Lucasfilm wanted to do Lord Of The Rings, but couldn't get the rights so they did Willow instead. My only hope is they don't base this series on the abysmal Shadow Moon sequel books.
  10. You want a good historical setting for a Predator film? New Guinea 1942.
  11. By the books description he is 72 years old that looks like he is in his mid 30s due to the effects of spice treatments. By Villeneuves' standards that doesn't really matter give that Chani is supposed to be a scrawny half starved sixteen year old redhead with milky pale white skin from living underground all her life, because in Fremen society exposing any skin to direct sunlight is a major taboo and a waste of water which is why stilsuits are essentially head to toe gimp suits. Meh given how good the first movie was I have faith in the casting.
  12. The gundam releases this year are kinda boring, but the other lines like the 30 Minute Missions or 30 Miniute Sisters are pretty creative.
  13. Seeing those pictures of the Blue Gale from Xabungle reminds me of when I was a kid. I had a knockoff toy of it that oddly enough had decals from Macross on it. The hatch parts on the legs had a green sticker with the kite symbol on it with text that said SDF-1 Macross. I remember you could transform it into the truck mode and it had a pull back function that let it role across the floor. Unfortunately it was very brittle plastic and it broke easily, never mind all the small part like the hands were on small pegs that would either not hold the part or snap off easily.
  14. I've been aboard K-77, the sub used as a stand in for K-19. It was docked as a museum ship in Providence Rhode Island and sank in storm due to the the modifications the filming crew made rendering it no longer water tight. The thing I'll always remember about it was how the entire boat was encased in 10 inch wide rubber bricks in an effort to dampen the noise and sonar signature it gave off.
  15. If it's anything like the Enterprise-D there's at least a couple bodies behind the wall!
  16. People like what they like, I'm not going to hate on them for it, and you can count me the ones that will watch any crappy Godzilla, as I even like the 98 Zilla film. Sure it's terrible at trying to be a Godzilla film to the point Toho has officially declared it a seperate monster mistaken for Godzilla, but on it's own it's a pretty fun remake of Beast From 20,000 Fathoms. My problem with this film is that the original Jurassic Park had this perfect blend of horror, adventure, and sense of scale & wonder that made it special. This sequel just feels more like stupid people doing stupid things that puts them in positions to get eaten by dinosaurs with no weight to them. In Godzilla terms it's like going from the 1954 original to the 70s Godzilla Vs Megalon.
  17. Oh joy. An entire episode dedicated to Kwan Yu Suk.🤢
