  1. To be far the actor they chose for the British Ambassador did resemble good old Benny.😆
  2. Swede Vejtasa: I wanna be a fighter pilot! US Navy: No. You are a bomber pilot. *Swede proceeds to shoot down three enemy aircraft in a day in an SBD Dauntless at Coral Sea. US Navy: Um... So you wanted to be a fighter pilot you say? How does a transfer sound? *Swede proceeds to down seven more enemy aircraft in a day at Santa Cruz.
  3. Shoving an awful amount of history into two plus hours is a massive understatement. The following literally happens over the course of 10 minutes...
  4. So I watched Ridley Scott's Napoleon, and well.... You ever watch a movie that is so bad, it starts to become so unintentionally funny you start to wonder if it was done on purpose? Yeah that's this film. The pacing and focus is all over the place to the point if you don't have a keen interest in the Napoleonic era you will have absolutely no idea what the hell is going on. Joaquin Phoenix is miscast badly being way too old and terrible in this. He spends most of the film with a look on his face that resembles the slight discomfort of having a broomstick broken off up his ass and no way to get it out... When he's not making the "O" face spending a surprising amount of time balls deep in Josephine doggy style trying to produce an heir. As for historical accuracy there really isn't much. Outside of the most broadest summary of people and places this movie showcases, liberties have been taken with damn near everything. Not in "we need to rework things for pacing issues or time constraints," but more in a "We have no idea what the hell we are doing!" sort of way.
  5. Zombie troopers sucked when they were originally introduced in the EU, they sucked when Disney brought them back for books and comics, and they again suck now in live action. I hate how they are just a lame pop culture trend staple gunned onto the Star Wars universe because "OMG! Zombies!" Were all the rage a while back. I also don't like how they and the Night Sisters are being used to undercut Thrawn's character just because Filoni has a hard on for them. What made Thrawn such an imposing threat in the original novels was in a in a universe of force users and supernatural powers he used his intellect and tactics to out think and out maneuver his opponents. Now? He's just fourth banana to three Macbeth witch rejects with a goofy zombie army at his command and a dork in a leper death mask as a sidekick.
  6. Is it bad I want to buy the Himeji Castle just so I can build it and put Godzilla and Kong figures on opposite sides of it?
  7. I kind of went a little crazy recently and bought a few kits. Namely the entire Lego City Explorers/Arctic 2023 line. It started with just buying the submarine to go along with, then the small motor boat, then the arctic shelter with snowcat, then the big floating boat, and finally the skimobile. To make matters worse I also picked up the undersea exploration sub base as well as a couple submarines from the older 2020 line. Plus a couple of minisubs variants from the 3 in 1 sets. So now I have this desk with a big damn boat on it, underneath that is a shelf with the sub base and subs and a bunch of divers on the very bottom shelf with some rocks and coral with a angler fish.
  8. I'll be blunt here. Seto has a strong dislike of Harmony Gold, the Robotech brand, and anything connected to it, to the point he will go out of his way to denigrate it and downplay it's impact. Wether he likes it or not, or is even willing or capable of admitting it Robotech back in the day was a modest hit, and still maintains a surprisingly large cult following to this day which is quite an accomplishment given it's syndicated nature, and is better than a lot of similar properties from the 80s and 90s. Outside of the Hasbro and Mattel brands you don't really see the longevity or attempted revivals quite like what Robotech has had without there being some demand for it.
  9. Isn't John Goodman's character dead?
  10. Honestly sh** got weird in the later years. We had drug dealing pimps like the Head Man and his army of mad max looking leather dudes in scully caps with cobra commander like mirrored facemasks, eco terrorists spreading toxic sludge, literal werewolves with bug eyed monsters, power armor wearing cyborgs fighting on the moon, and that was all before the alien invasions(yes plural) or the time a literal robo-nazi had to fight a bunch of thawed out WWII commandos that were cryogenically frozen after a mission went wrong. Then things really got crazy with G.I. Joe X-TREME!!!!!!!!!
  11. 1993. When everything went neon and the Mega Monsters were released to the line. 😝
  12. Yeah, there's some problems with that heavy spoilers video.
  13. Saw it, it sucked. Preachy, obnoxious, heavy handed, and enough plot holes to drive a truck through. Sure was pretty though. The VFX team deserves an oscar.
  14. People are talking about Snyder's Rebel Moon project being a former Star Wars project, but The Creator itself actually looks like one. When I saw the poster in the theater with the robot in the field, the odd buildings in the background, and the font chosen for the title I thought it WAS a Star Wars film, specifically the one about droids that was rumored to be in production. Even the trailer looks like Star Wars outside of the AK47's and US military uniform that one guy is wearing.
  15. I'm still waiting for the Masters Of The Air series debut announcement from the Band of Brothers/The Pacific people before I bite the apple.
  16. And this is why I prefer console gaming. They may not have the prettiest graphics, but the games are all programmed to work with a known quantity and system requirements. No dealing with software or hardware compatibility issues, no OS updates that brick older games, and no rebuilding a shitty $3000 gaming rig every two years because some fancy new tech came out and the latest killer app is running it.
  17. You talk like this is a new thing, but it's not. Remember Dallas and "Who shot JR?" from the 80s? If that's too old how about Reimagined Galactica and it's "Who is a Cylon?" nonsense? People are always going to theorize and make guesses about the shows they're invested in, the only difference you aren't going to hear about it in Entertainment Tonight, Sci Fi Weekly, or the entertainment section of your local newspaper now that they have Discord, Facebook, Twitter/X, and Youtube.
  18. I wanted to go to that brick con as it was the closest to me here in Montana, but work had some personnel shake ups and I can't get the time off for the event due to short staffing. Would have been neat to see if they had any neat castle stuff for sale, but oh well. Have fun! 😉👍
  19. The Mig-23 didn't have zero/zero ejection seats and the plane was approaching it's minimum safe ejection speed. It was either punch out then or trust the pilot of a rapidly descending ailing aircraft to not make you a synchronized smear mark on the ground with him. I would have punched out too.
  20. Anyways, the Museum of Flight... I was there three weeks ago for the Boeing Seafair Airshow. That Thursday they had a special for free admission after 5pm till they close at 9pm. Ends up I didn't hear the closing announcement because I was so focused on taking pictures they shut the lights off on me while I was in the WWI and WWII exhibit!😆
  21. If you are still in the area head north for about 20 minutes to Paine Field in Everett. The Boeing Factory is there as well as the recently reopened Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum. You will not be disappointed with the latter!
