  1. A die hard FPS PC player will play nothing but FPSes on the PC. I don't do that - I'm originally a RTS PC player. But I do do everything else you listed, so count me guilty. If you spend only 5 hours tops a week gaming, then sure, these games won't get stale quite so fast. But then I wouldn't be expecting to pay $50 (or $70 for console games here) for them. I haven't had as much time as when I was in highschool (recently out of uni and now starting a career) but I still seek good dollar-to-hours-of-gameplay-depth ratios from my purchases. I've played plenty of survival-only (hold out for waves until you finally die) zombie games where the zombie AI ranged from straightforward to human controlled... but guess what, they were all free. Brain-dead survival-only not something worth paying for, even now that I don't play games that often. On a side note, I'm not buying L4D2 until it drops below 50% original price. The value isn't there either.
  2. COD4 is fine. I used to play it a lot, and was very good at it. In fact, I got banned from a lot of servers in it. >_> . I got bored of it after a while, but it was played very thoroughly. COD5 (normal) is nearly identical, but feels inferior on most aspects, especially the weapons handling. Long time FPS players will understand that weapons have a very specific 'good feeling' to them when they are made and designed properly in FPS games. COD4's weapons felt great, whereas COD5s were mostly crap. I only remember a few exceptions. On the same note COD2 was great.... So no, I have nothing against Call of Duty, its a good series.
  3. I'm not saying that consoles games are worse than their PC iterations, but rather I'm saying: taking a bad pc game and playing it on a console does not make it fun. COD5 Zombie gives you the same zombies in a repetitive wave after wave system. Very limited map movement (and even fewer maps to choose from. Originally it was just 1... Now its.. 2 with the paid expansion pack?) COD5 zombie mode was an afterthought, yet still shamefully the best part of the game. COD4 is still lightyears more fun than COD5's normal modes as well. I guess if you like forking over money for such limited gameplay depth and content, you can place your preorders on L4D2 already. >_> What happened to value?
  4. I think Full Metal Panic Russian Arm Slaves stands at the bottom of that list.
  5. COD5 was boring as all hell on PC. COD4 was better, but also got a little stale. I dont know why people would like it on a console.
  6. Looks like I'll be picking up a PS3 near the end of the year. Shadows of the Colossus 2, I mean Last Guardian has finally given me a reason. FF7 remake is great too... But where's the Chrono Trigger remake??!? The new FF's didn't interest me, and GoW3 is a plus, but not something I'd buy a console solely for. Still waiting on a PS3-exclusive Ace Combat or Tales game.
  7. I really hope Bandai does transformable 1/72s outside of Macross Frontier. Their line has pretty awesome quality, and with the current nebulous licensing details, I would like to add some VF-17s to my collection. Anything but VF-1s and it'll be greatly welcomed. Also, I was assembling my VF-25G kit, but I noticed that I had a lot of duplicate parts in both blue and white. o_O. At first I thought it was to let you choose between 2 different schemes... But only a few select parts are in both white and blue. It doesn't really seem to make sense. Anyone else know whats going on?
  8. I guess the answer is to break your rifle, Regult XD Break your rifle to fix it. >_>
  9. Lol thats great. Isnt the VF-25F armored also supposed to get the sniper rifle too?... It did for the model kit.
  10. Yea I know Honkhet, I just think its pretty funny looking anyway =P. Unfortunately, I am one of the suckers who is more than willing to pay the $80+ for this kit T_T
  11. Be aware of over-stiff or loose shoulders. Crotch lock is the biggest issue so far.
  12. Re-edit .......... Considering how most of the thrusters are not even aimed correctly to give it forward and upward lift... It's gonna have a tough time taking off in a gravity environment.
  13. I like the matte grey-blue color they chose for the armor. Even the model kit preview pictures seem to give off more shine than that. I'm not sure if its because the armor on the toy is still unfinished or what. If only the plane's white could be a little duller too now =/. It practically looks like its gleaming in comparison. What bothers me most now is just thinking about how many parts you're going to have to keep track of... and that partsformation will require an entire workbench, several parts bin containers and half an afternoon.

    Yamato stands

Didn't you see what he posted about the glue earlier? One of his pictures highlights where he applied layers of glue to tighten the friction in the upper joint.
  15. Thanks, I am not as pro as Graham or Mike T_T
  16. Yea I was going to give it a stand in Gerwalk mode, so I don't mind at all... But like I said, I'm buying it for how ridiculously overkill it is... and the fact that it is so packed that it could never land just lends to that characteristic.
  17. .... Wow. That's a new low for cutting corners.
  18. LMAO. Man if I was that fighter plane I would be saying 'STOP STRAPPING ALL THIS JUNK TO ME' It does surprise me though that the hip joints are naturally strong enough to hold up all the leg armor. I was expecting to have to lay down coats of clearcoat to stiffen it up. The arm in Gerwalk too has barely any room to move. But I gotta admit, I love it cause its so ridiculous. Overkill is right, although even in that picture, he's not even wielding his gunpod and reaction missiles. Also uhhh... From the side profile, does this thing have any hope of being able to have its landing gear deployed? Look how far down the gunpod is!
  19. I kinda fault Bandai more than China QC on this one. To approve a design where the parts are glued together with no alignment pins or anything will inevitably lead to shoddy alignments or excess glue runoffs.
  20. First link doesn't seem to work. I don't know of any 1/60 Yamato Macross toys that are not PT. Both the 1/60 VF-1S and the VF-1J should be Perfect Transformation. What should be more important is trying to identify whether or not its a version 1 or version 2 VF-1. From what I can tell, the second link is a version 2.
  21. Haha, I have an unassembled 1/72 VF-25G too (I assembled the rifle first though). I would like to know which gun is better for the 1/72, the toy gun or the model kit? =P Dunno how much partsforming is in the toy gun though.
  22. The first side fighter picture seems to show enough clearance but the second one from behind shows the buttstock dragging on the ground once the front of the cannon has been raised into position.
  23. Considering how poor the 1/60 pilot figures were for the DXes, I couldn't really expect a lot from a 1/60 Ranka in the same lineup. It is small, but really, they could have done much better.
  24. I think you mean Perfect Transformation. Meaning generally (although with some factors of lenience) that the toy can transform between fighter, battroid and gerwalk modes without removal and addition of new parts. Yamato PT 1/60's include a series of VF-1s, VF-19, VF-21, VF-11, VB-6. I may have missed some. There are PT 1/60 toys not produced by Yamato as well, of which the most popular atm is probably the VF-25s produced by Bandai.
