I'd rather not have my plane look like that Yamato variant with the chibi bridge bunny stickers, thanks. If its going to be custom, it's going to be entirely recolored in the theme and pattern of the girl who's presented on it.
I think I'd sacrifice all my valks to do that in a heartbeat. After all, you just rebuy them in their standard paint schemes. A good custom paintjob is hard to come by, especially if you aren't a modeler yourself.
Although I admit I'm not as perverse as Mike is, so I'd get paint schemes of only decently clothed girls. =P
The correct answer was getting a job and earning the toys in a respectable manner that would lead you to respect and cherish your toys even until old age.
I love how much shorter the nosecone is in battroid than fighter. I mean the same problem existed even for the VF-1s, but sheesh.. You think they could exaggerate the difference any more in the lineart there? =/ The fan-built kit just shows off how blargh the fighter-length nose would look like in battroid. =/.
Uh... Really? If you were going to make a documentary to pay homage to a classic game... Wouldn't you start with BETTER and more CLASSIC games like Tetris or Pong or something? Asteroids is a good game and all, but I'm not in the slightest interested in how it was made.
Its a shame, since I really don't see MF being an anime I'll remember fondly in 15-20 years. It just wasn't all that moving or awesome like M+ or DYRL was for me.
I dont think Prime would have said much no matter the situation. Prime was a cold-blooded murderer in this movie. He's going to get a hockey mask in the next movie.
Considering how decked GBPs were when they sacrificed the ability to transform.... The YF-19s non-transforming armor/weapon packs is quite underwhelming.
That is what I meant, but I didn't think the 1/60 VF-1 would be able to squeeze the legs over the fragile yamato arm swivels back into a locked position anyway. Shows what I know.
Yea, the YF-19 carries all its ammunition internally... Which is a pretty damn tall order once you see that ALL of the missiles comes out of the bottom half of its legs. In one scene though, you do see the YF-19 with arm-mounted cannons.... Which you never see again, btw.
I like the black paint scheme on the VF-22, but I really wish they'd be able to mount guns, even if it did it using the non-canon YF-21 method. Yamato, please issue a black paint scheme for the YF-21, thanks.
Eh... I would have thought that little bits of sound like that were part of much larger stock clips and were used all over the place in industry. I think the song in MZero just pulled from that stock clip bank really.
Bipedal walkers are much more complex and thus vulnerable to damage not only from weapons but its own movement. Robust components are a huge issue, and even considering tech advances, the future treaded tank is still going to be much more powerful and sturdy than the future bipedal mech.
Actually, Zone of the Enders OVA (Or was it a movie, I forget) was kinda like that. Real emotional ending to a mecha anime.
I'd rather they just not do the Live Action Macross movie. 90% chance they fail and give the franchise a bad name.
