  1. Jarrod, what kid of glue did you use? I was thinking about doing the same thing but was concerned that once cutt off, the structural integrity is hardly reestablished with simple gluing. I fear the ball joints will just keep detaching from the crotch and stay on the legs everytime I want to put it back in fighter mode EDIT> clarity
  2. Somehow the eyes remind me of 1960's make up, or more specifically, Star Trek TOS female crew. I guess all I want o say is "awesome work!"
  3. stop right there...the DX VF-27 is probably more accurate than the model version you just completed! At least I am crossing my fingers it WILL be
  4. ...sorry to ask but since when the DX VF-25 serves as a reference for accuracy? NOTE: the white on the F is much whiter than that of the G, so if you're going to leave that unpainted, be ready for color mismatch. I plan to do the same substitution, if I ever get around to building the things I have piled up.
  5. Cannot see the 15 year old May'n. Seems I need to log in or sth.
  6. Some hated the SV-51 Nora for the golden details, now there is people asking to substitute the "McDonald's Valk" signature yellow with gold!?
  7. Definitely SOLD! that one has the warning stencils/markings printed all over, or so it seems from the picture.
  8. +1 I wouldn't be so optimistic about a low price tag
  9. too early to tell about the colors, they may completely change them, like they did with the banpresto statue, with pastel tones on the initial sample and then completely metallic sheen on the final, which is much more appealing to the eyes, but not necessarily anime-accurate. I think that the Banpresto colors have somehow become canon for Klan's flightsuit!
  10. Sorry for insisting, did you see the actual product on display? I am asking because I want to know if it has the printed details shown in some photos, but absent in some others. Seems there are two types of samples being photographed and I hope the final production version is the one with more printed details.
  11. that's the picture I am talking about! I swear I put the box down for this very reason
  12. Thanks Vostok, I knew there would be a simple answer and I was overlooking it
  13. Saw the actual box and on the side, there is a drawing of the character piloting the VF, that would be Grace O'Connor of course, wearing the flightsuit, but unfortunately, she's got no hopes and dreams nor nightmares and despairs.
  14. thanks for the report, it's good and bad news then! I can live without a stand, but I'd not buy another "old pervert with his pants pulled up to his armpits while shrugging" passing of as a VF. EDIT: When you say you "saw" the "preview", do you mean the actual toy was there on display? Just wanted to make sure
  15. I know what you mean, but would you prefer the angry face when she was screaming "Michel, Michel!!" instead? I bet they thought about that, or even tested it.
  16. Wonder how they plan to package this and give us a display option...
  17. no you're not, but I am fine with a fixed-pose statue. Maybe I am less optimistic, that's all
  18. I don't really collect Gundam stuff, but did build a MG Zaku II Char Custom Ver 2 a few years back when I was really bored and thought it was cool a model could kneel down. Just when the Side VF series started to pop out a few months ago, I realized there was a vast collection of Side MS lying around in shops, but apparently never complete (at least in Hong Kong shops I have been to). I guess the question is, is there a complete listing of the Roboté‚ (Tamashii/Damashi/Spirits) released to date? Been to hlj and it is a bit chaotic the way they organize things (I usually have problems spotting the new Macross releases in their lists). I am particularly interested in the RX-78, and I am aware there will be a green Zaku II (Turn A version, not original) sometime this year. Thanks!
  19. I like the armored VF-25S a lot, but the gap in the leg armor is a bit distracting, they could've tried something different, or split the mold through some existing panel lines.
  20. Thanks for the info, I think I will still wait for the DX, I am not that good building models anyway, and 3XX is a bit steep for my skills.
  21. Is there a Yak Deculture edition for the entire series?? Sorry to ask, been out of the loop for a while after initial watch of the TV version with mostly lunaranime subs. I also have the "Deculture" edition first episode which looks more interesting than the TV broadcast version. I also have the RAW DVD/Bluray last episode with additional and improved footage. I am also aware the DVD/Blu-ray improved some scenes here and there thru the series, but is there yet another version of the entire series? Sorry again if this is a very stupid question.
  22. Depends on your personal cultural context, but Macross F was certainly not designed with kids in mind. There are Klan's superboobs, Sheryl's closet scene with Alto, the Nyan Nyan uniform, almost everything about Nanase...not that I was taking note of them: I was in for the violent mecha fights, knife fights and capital ship explosions...which reminds me )...
  23. Not that I am dying to buy it, but why can't I see any VF-27 model kit in the shops in Hong Kong? Gosh, all save the first VF-25F are still completely mint in box!!!! (and I have almost all the normal releases) Maybe there's too many people like myself and the shops decided "screw them, we won't import sth. that does not sell like hot Gundams".
  24. I never quite understood how those high-heeled hoof-looking shoes, boots or whatever you call them were worn by poor Zentradi guys. They look almost exactly like Q-rau or N-ger (or even some VF) feet. Kawamori had this obsession with that particular foot shape. Looking at Klan-Klan (herself and no the Q-rea), I am glad she's wearing more comfy high-heels (*yet still very impractical and maybe the reason why she got shot down so many times during the show?). OT over.
