  1. point taken! maybe the animation in the film shows the white -F under a darker light, and Bandai decided it was a good chance to milk the ugly mold...what about the lighter super packs? do they even exist in the film? Any ideas when the green VF-27 may come out? I am starting to dig the Grace custom more than the Brera one...
  2. that avatar gif image is damn painful to watch...
  3. but Graham, doesn't the Tornado Pack appears only in the movie version VF-25F? technically blueish valk+Tornado pack is anime-accurate!
  4. by the way, am I wrong to say Yamato never released a stand-alone VF-0A Shin custom with problematic shoulders fixed (as they did have a reissue VF-0S Fokker with shoulders reportedly fixed)?
  5. after checking out the links, I got my answer: the model of the G is fixed, and what a great pose!
  6. yeah, exactly, detolf has huge gaps and dust blows in freely. I didn't know you could fit a 1/60 VF-1 inside bertby...you'll have less shelves if in battroid mode tho. I have billy, and the bigger fighters like the SV-51 have a hard time fitting in, only gerwalk and battroid since wingspan in fighter is too much for the shelf depth.
  7. still wondering if these latest magazine scans show the final product, because the previous promotional shots of the toy revealed considerably more printed details. Oh, and we finally see the battroid do poses other than standing up.
  8. the knee area is much more anime accurate than the default articulation (i am referring to the part that looks like this "] ] ] ] ]" inside the knee cap) Can this kit still transform?
  9. roger that, sounds more logical. I would still like to see if it will come with a stand.
  10. Thanks Vifam7! Appreciate the translation! Wonder if buyers from retail shops in HK will get the poster...wait, they want us to buy 2 consecutive Brera's to make one giant poster?!!?!?! gimme a Macross Galaxy patch themed stand please!
  11. Yeah, I also had the impression the crotch looks bigger and the legs look a bit higher up than earlier pictures...and so far we've not seen the battroid mode do different poses besides standing tall and pretty...but I still think this is going to be my first Frontier DX. By the way, has anybody translated this before? I would like to know what does it say about "special characteristics", "February" and "March"... BTW. anyone wonders if it will have a stand? It should not be an SMS stand!
  12. the example shown in the last pictures does not sport all the printed details of the one shown last page. It also be interesting to know if the battroid's crotch can angle out a bit more or its going to stay flat (as shown consistently in every shot so far). from the pictures, the fighter and gerwalk modes leave nothing to complain about.
  13. I think the lavender mismatch is due mainly to the thinness of the sticker color, and the darker plastic color just "bleeds" through the sticker (therefore sticker color looking less saturated than decals). Same effect was obvious with the blue G and grey S 25s.The same effect did not seem visible with the Alto F because it is white plastic...not better stickers! The decals do a better job since they have a white base paint underneath the color, impeding the plastic color showing through. (EDIT: read myself and could not understand a word, must have been sth I drank)
  14. OK guys, I know the model has abundant ammount of painted little details here and there, but it's not like he painted the hip guns (used the sticker instead, therefore the color mismatch), but if I am guessing right and he used Gundam pens to color those small details, then it still is easier to apply than airbrush, masking, peeling, masking again, airbrushing, ad infinitum! I am very curious to see what the DX will turn out to be, the latest promo shots reveal a lot details, hopefully tampo printed and not on a sticker sheet (as Yamato usually does).
  15. I have the impression it is done with some Gundam marker. Also, I am curious as to how he managed to smoothen the stickers over the contours of the model (ie. cockpit canopy)
  16. Thought this would be interesting for all, it's a 1/72 step by step build using stickers and minimal paint. Just follow the link to the next page at the bottom of each page. There are 7 or 8 total (it's all in Japanese though! I can't read it)
  17. I don't really understand what's the purpose of having a drawing of Supa Dimention Cinderella helplessly falling off the skies with broken limbs and a weird happy expression on her face at the bottom of the boxes.
  18. Yeah, that's how I feel, not that I luuuve the VF-100's (let's not recall all their flaws), but just missing one...it's so wrong. Wait, exclusive?? not me.
  19. That, and also that it does not disintegrate upon initial transformation, or the power of human sight. EDIT: isn't it time for the Lucifer to have it's own thread? Even the Tornado pack has one already or am I seeing things?
  20. Is it safe to assume the VF-100's line is officially DEAD (sorry for screaming) and the coming ones (after the Kai) will also be released as the "Hi-metal" line? Please enlighten me! (only missing Luca's RVF to complete the Skull Squad...)
  21. I strongly agree with David. We do need some way to fix the breaking/broken shoulders of early V2.0s and together with the newer hip-bar/crotch design, transformation would be a bliss, and with repeated carefree transformations, the toy will eventually break somehow and then anybody would be happy to get a replacement one (and yamato makes $$$)
  22. first of all: shoulder hinges please! (packs of pairs sold individually or bundled with other add-ons) outside Japan it is very hard for collectors to get the better shoulders for earlier releases and I believe there is a customer base for that kind of pack to make it financially sound. other add-ons: diorama packs: ground support vehicles, personnel, standing pilots (don't just copy the Hasegawa kit sets, please make them Macross 80's), stairs, etc. Could be sold in separate packs so collectors can get their favorite parts first and gradually complete the diorama. stickers, decals and what's that called?: I am thinking about those transfer decals used on Gundams, they apply easily (for those with no modeling experience and waterslide decal use), they stay on better than stickers or decals (more suitable for transforming toys). Not suitable for big graphics though.
