  1. Long story short: crecí al otro lado de la Cordillera y ahora estoy en Hong Kong.
  2. Has it been stated anywhere when the Armored VF-25S will be released?
  3. Another way (non-cannon) to get rid of Kakizaki?
  4. visit the toy forum please, there are plenty of battroid pictures of the DX -27, it'd be a bit off topic to post a whole bunch of DX pictures (standalone) in this thread and besides I don't have time to do the transformation! There is criticism the legs are actually too high up on the DX battroid, I do agree.
  5. That's why I gave up on the model for the VF-27. That means I have all -25s in 1/72 and one single 1/60 VF-27 (of course I have a whole bunch of Yamato valks). Look at the nose section (entire cockpit area in fact) of the model -25 compared to the DX -27 in the background: they're practically identical! Imagine if they'd done the same with the model -27...
  6. I've taken a pic of the DX at the angle closest to Lolicon's model and the differences are huge. Notice the shape of the nosecone area and the size of the intakes. Bandai enjoys torturing collectors with a beautiful (yet floppy) VF-25 model vs. a horribly shaped DX, now with a weirdly shaped VF-27 model vs. a more anime accurate DX, that's so paradoxical!
  7. LOL'ed so badly at this one. I voted Inbit, but would like a Q-rau as well...hell, I have to grab one of those Regults fast...
  8. Found pictures on Dalong's site. The nose cone part is evidently longer on the -27, and this becomes most apparent in battroid mode. Sadly, that's where the nose cone would look best if snugly tucked away behind the chestplate. I think on this area the DX did a better job (it is actually proportionally shorter than the model) EDIT: for some reason I cannot hotlink Dalong's photos here...attached them instead. I did a very rough photoshop of the legs in a higher position. Did nothing to the nose cone though. It helps the looks a bit.
  9. I know what you mean Lolicon, but I think the fastest solution would've been to use a swing bar a tad shorter for the VF-27 to compensate for the lack of the front part of the intakes which remain in the chest. That would actually turn the Lucifer a tad shorter than the Messiah in Battroid mode, but at least the leg placement would not be so low. (Does the VF-27 use the same crotch parts after all?) What intrigues me is the reason behind the elongated "torso", somehow the nosecone or radome of the VF-27 seems so much longer than that of the VF-25 in Battroid mode! Is it much longer in fighter? can anybody do a side by side comparison of the models? I don't have the Lucifer kit so I cannot do that myself.
  10. Why do people say it is difficult to find this thread? I bump into it all the time, and that, as I said, is making me want one of these "Row Boat take Battle Pod"

    Live of Legend

If it serves as a reference, I saw them both in Hong Kong last week at a anime book shop and they were around 80HK$ each and I was about to buy the Mylene one out of curiosity. Actually, how good/bad are those figures? I can't read much Japanese so the booklet would be pretty much useless to me.
  12. first post of the thread by ff95gj, there are some photo comparisons of this toynami and the revoltech
  13. Are you guys sure you extended the neck all the way before pushing the cockpit behind and pulled the chestplate down all the way?
  14. that's it, now I want one...thank you guys!
  15. Espero que no solo tu colección esté bien, sino que también tu familia. Por supuesto espero que todos los demás miembros de mwf en Chile se encuentren bien. Buena suerte cool8or en tu intento por volver a Chile. Just wishing our fellow mw'ers in Chile are fine and safe with their families.
  16. not a matter of weeks, more like a matter of minutes...that if the kid is careful. That "green" version is posed exactly as I want to pose mine, with a lot of thrust in the crotch area.
  17. the nose is very SV-51 as well, which in turn is very sukhoi! I am not sure I like the fin right in front of the canopy though... Has anybody started building the green one? My problem with the VF-27 kit is: 1) elongated torso (due to very long nose cone?) 2) low hip placement, the legs are on swing bars like the VF-25, but since the intake pretty much remains on the torso, the legs come down too low. on fighter mode, there are too minor cosmetic issues: nose gear is too far forward, like in the VF-25 kit...should be at the very back of the bay doors. The beam gun is somehow too forward. I know it's supposed to stick out of the aircraft nose in the anime, but in the kit it looks like it's going to fall...it's hanging too low as well.
  18. I always wanted to have four or five copies of the same valk across the table like that...
  19. On the red one you can see differences between painted metal, painted plastic and colored plastic, but it is quite cool, kind of like an aztec effect and not a huge color mismatch. Basically, it is contrast between the translucence of colored plastic and reflectivity of painted metal and/or plastic. Hasn't anybody else noticed the hip gun (or "skirt" in battroid mode) is missing the inner maroon trim seen in the anime and some of the promotional pics of the DX? On the production version, the maroon trim abruptly ends at the intake piece, while on the anime and sample it goes all the way down the wing root or hip gun piece.
  20. Thanks, this angle is exactly what I needed to see, I will try it on mine, I overlooked the clip! And your instructions are clear enough (for me), I will follow them as I go.
  21. I noticed that in this picture, the crotch piece has more "thrust" than promotional pictures. I haven't achieved this stance on mine, I tried popping out the crotch to achieve more "thrust" but it was really stiff and I didn't want to break anything. Instructions (as shown a few posts ago) seem to indicate there is articulation in that area. Can you take a picture of the underside of that crotch articulation while doing that pose? I'd like to see what is supposed to pop out and what is supposed to stay, because I am afraid of loosening the hip connector that was so lose on the VF-25.
  22. yes he did, "even the famous Graham from MW managed to scratch his"
  23. I have been a bit confused about the hip/crotch articulation. I found the VF-27 has a very limited posability but some people say it is very posable (?) Tried to understand but still not totally sure what the instructions here mean. Can I "thrust" the crotch out more than in promotional and instruction booklet photos? if not, what does it say in this part of the instructions booklet? Thanks in advance to all of you who can read Japanese! (I know it says the piece is articulated, but on what direction? "side to side" or "back and forth"?
  24. I wonder how long will we have to wait till the next Frontier figure of the series...Sheryl wore the civilian version, so I am not sure that'll be the next best bet. It's easier for Bandai to go with the other pilots, and judging by the pattern, Alto is usually followed by Michel.
  25. Same here, I will eventually need to do some overhaul, because kneecaps, shoulders, shoulder pads and ankles already show paint wear, and I realized there is some funny paint smudge on the cockpit's side, around Ranka's seat
