Well....I just went purple. Canada has something called Boxing Day which is like the states Black Friday. Just picked up an HD-D3 player for $100. Store: Futureshop.ca 400 units available @8pm and after severe server problems they we're able to start selling at about 10:08pm. 0 units available less then 5mins. Now I'm ready for HD exclusive media(Transformers, Iron Man....er....other stuff). edit Just watched an upconverted DVD of Aliens. This movie really needs to be remastered in HD.

Why not just stream it or copy it over your network to the PS3? It worked when I tried it. But YES this episode just rocks on an HD TV. Gonna watch it again after I get off work tonight.

Loved it. Starts off like another normal day in the Macross Universe, we get some character info, and then all hell breaks loose.

I bought High-Velocity but I prefer Wii Bowling. IMO the controls seem awkward and forced but then again I've had a year to play Wii Bowling.

The prototype colors look so much like a Super Robot I'd buy it just for that.

Well if that box comes with two 1/60 Valks that would be cool. or a Valk and a Destroid/Pod.

For a 1/60 Vf-1 fan this is the bestest Christmas gift ever. I haven't been this excited for a Macross toy since the original Mac Plus valks.

Some of us have never been happy with the 1/48. Content, yes, but never satisfied or happy. I've been content but I'm vocal in my support for the 1/60 size series. If this issue of Hobby Japan February 2008 is true it'll be triple dip for some of us. Original 1/60's, 1/48's and now the new hopefully perfect transformation 1/60. Hint: Someone in the east with a copy of HJ Feb 2008 we need a higher quality scan of that image! Haha! No. I would be selling mine at the price I bought at.

Okay if this is real I'm selling alot of my 1/48's. I would love to keep my figures in scale with each other.

Just had my family X-mas get together and I'm happy to say my two young nephews(3 and 5) are happy with the Movie Leader Class Prime & Megatron, dlx Concept BB, and Barricade I gave them. Dangard Ace: putting toys in the hands of children....as long as I get one for my own collection first. My vote is for closest to SDCC since I'm 80% sure I'm going down this year. Like Kiririth said SDCC is HUGE. You will not be able to do everything you see on the con program even if you stay for the entire week. Haven't been to a MWCon before so this could be my first.

Hmm...it might not have banding issues. Just tested that "failed" test on my computer dvd/lcd screen and the same bands show up. The gradient test could be faulty. Update, just tested that lcd test disk on my old CRT as well. Bands are there as well. The gradient tests on that download appears off to me. As I said, in actual viewing I did not notice banding.

My Sharp LC42D64U has some minor banding in the very dark ranges only when running this test DVD on it. It passed every single other test there with flying colors. http://tvblink.com/ Actual viewing experience: when watching Bluray Planet Earth, as hard as I try I can't see banding. Didn't see the banding on all 3 Bluray Pirate movies or some of my upconverted DVD's(via PS3). ie Tron, Voltron: Black Lion tin set, Justice League, Moulin Rouge. Games display nicely as well. COD4, Uncharted, GT Prologue demo.
