  1. WOOHOO!!! This means Universal is releasing ..... finally! http://uk.reuters.com/article/internetNews...740482320080417
  2. The link's somewhere in this thread.
  3. What misleading? These are the current market prices of the toys. You can't go to sellers and say, "I want that for $165 because that's what it used to cost". If we could we'd all go to car dealers and demand they sell us a Rolls for what they cost back in the 60's. If you want to compare previous prices then the 1/48 Super at $165 should be compared to the old 1/60 Super at $100(HLJ). $65 difference then, still $65 difference now. USD tanking versus the Yen. Oil prices skyrocketing. Cats and Dogs living together. It all adds up. Would I prefer the lower original pricing? Absolutely! Do I think it's currently priced unfairly? No but I'm waiting on Graham to review one for us.
  4. Good luck trying to find the ML stealth armor for a decent price. My 2nd favorite armor, right after the Centurion armor and it was short packed so that all the scalpers(including comic/toy stores) jacked the prices on those astronomically. One's going for $80 on eBay right now. frakk that. Rather buy a Series 1 normal IM and repaint it before I pay those prices. For the movie I'm just missing the IM exclusive and the Stealth Armor. Missing the Thorbuster armor from the ML line but I hate that armor.
  5. Let's see: 1/48 Super Valkyrie would cost: HLJ = ~$200usd Toy-wave = ~$180usd BBTS = $200usd LOS = 1/48 1S($155) + Super/Strike parts(70) =~$225 New 1/60 Super Valkryie would cost: HLJ = NA(no info) Toy-wave = NA(no info) BBTS = $155 LOS = $138.95 Hobby Search = $120 Over Drive Inc = $112.99 So averaging out a Super Valkyrie for 1/48(2 american and 2 japanese stores) = $201. Averaging outa Super Valkyrie for 1/60(2 american and 2 japanese stores) = $136. Huh. Still getting a new 1/60.
  6. Strangely enough I find myself agreeing with eugimon for a change. Strange feeling. Going to kill that feeling off with some C&C3 right now.
  7. Blah blah blah....relaunch of Playstation Store....blah blah blah....DTS-HDMA...blah blah blah firmware 2.30 blah blah blah... Grace you're adorable but.... eyes focused on the camera and speak slower! http://blog.us.playstation.com/2008/04/10/...re-walkthrough/
  8. That IP is not in the ban filter either.
  9. LOL! Michael Bay responds! http://www.shootfortheedit.com/forum/showt...24541#post24541
  10. signed: 125322 http://kotaku.com/377605/uwe-boll-responds...-frakking-retard Uwe Boll Responds To Million Man Petition: "Look I'm Not A frakking Retard" Yes, we've definitely heard all about Uwe Boll's claim that if a million concerned gamers were to band together, say via internet petition, he'd stop making movies. You can throttle bak on the tips, Turbo. While no one at the Kotaku Towers complex believes that Uwe will give up the movie biz for a second, it doesn't seem to have curbed enthusiasm for an internet rallying cry. How does Mr. Boll respond? In shattered English, Boll says he hopes that someone, somewhere will start a pro-Uwe petition. Why? Here's why. "I'm not a frakking retard like Michael Bay or other people running around in the business or Eli Roth making the same shitty movies over and over again," says Boll. "If you really look at my movies you will see my real genius you know, and if you go on May 23 on Postal you will see that I deliver a movie what nobody else delivered in the last 10 years, what is way better as all that social critic George Clooney bullshit what you get every frakking weekend." Pretty infallible, but if it's not clear yet, Boll clearly illustrates that you're at fault, not him. "You have to really wake up and you have to see me what I am," he says. "I am the only genius in the whole frakking business. Goodbye." Genius? And how! He's got a legion of anti-fans paying him more attention than ever as Postal approaches. I'm off to generate that pro-Boll petition, 'cause if Boll stops making movies, we're out a half-dozen posts a month. Oh, and sprinkle some [sic] around this post. It's all verbatim.
  11. You don't seem to act like you don't care. No one has been mentioning anything about lower prices lately. We've been talking day and dates and av equipment. From Gizmodo again dated two weeks ago: http://gizmodo.com/367216/blu+ray-prices-h...to-piss-you-off Looked up the contributer(Mark Raby) for TG Daily as well. It appears he also was an HD DVD supporter and was called out in the comments section for cooking those numbers. http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/36428/113/ Tom's Hardware is Mark Raby's again. EngadgetHD is linking back to Mark Raby's Tom's Hardware article. http://www.tomshardware.com/2008/03/12/blu...ition_dwindles/ About.com article links Gizmodo who in turn linked Tom's Hardware article(Mark Raby). http://hometheater.about.com/b/2008/03/15/...es-going-up.htm
  12. That article's two weeks old and it links to articles 1 month old or older. AV websites have already noted that and similar articles and tore it up. November/December prices compared to a few months after? Holiday season sales versus non-holiday season prices? It's no longer the holiday and prices are back where they were without the sales discount. Not surprising at all. I expect to see current Bluray SA players to drop in price once the 2.0 players are more widely available (I'm guessing summer/fall) and to have further reductions once it's Winter 2008 and especially in 2009 when you guys(USA) are forced to go digital. You may see your $200 Bluray player then. Quick search on google on "HD DVD" and "Ben Patterson" show that he was a HD DVD supporter. Not surprised that he's playing the negative slant against Bluray. He got burnt and is taking his shots where he can. It's over. HD DVD lost. If you want a good player get a PS3. Its price isn't going up, it's BD-Live and consistently one of the better Bluray players out there plus all the other bells and whistles that comes with it. If you're anti-Sony then you'll have to wait a few more months for the prices to drop on the other CE players.
  13. Replace Cars with Nemo and that's me. Of course it's fun to keep mentioning "sushi" whenever Nemo comes on screen.....
  14. Look in the October 2002 issue of Model Graphix Magazine. It's the Hasegawa Battroid model with the custom armor.
  15. I got chills when they showed the GN-0. That looks like an retrofitted with a Solar furnace.
  16. Here's hoping they show. It's too bad the old forums are gone. What you need to see are the models built by wm cheng but unless somebody here saved those pics.....
  17. Okay enough. The guy may have been a few years behind but at least it was well intentioned.
  18. Saw IV is supposed to be 2.0. AvP double dip is supposed to be 2.0. I still don't care about BD Live much. I like the resume play function. Works on DVD's and Blurays.
  19. PS3 2.20 BD-Live firmware went live 15mins ago. I'm done DL and installing it 5mins ago.
  20. Carry on then. Also blame >EXO<.
  21. Loving the new Rock Band music store. Preview the music before you buy. Now if only there was a way to buy a shopping list instead of buy each song individually......
  22. I think those are just static figures. Those pics have been on the website forever.
  23. http://blog.us.playstation.com/2008/03/20/...bd-live-to-ps3/ PS3 goes BD Live....in March.
  24. I'm more interested in what's next for Saji.
  25. And this thread has veered into fan works territory and not even 1/60 fan work at that.. Continue discussion of NMB4M mod in the fanworks area.
