  1. Down to 15, I've PM'd a couple people who wanted one on the off chance it might notify them, but dunno if they're even awake.
  2. .... is that a repainted He-Man figure in a skirt?
  3. Looks like they're out again.. tried to get one, canceled on checkout.
  4. NY just went down for maintenance again, I'll keep refreshing to see if anything interesting happens. I get the feeling though that if they actually do add any more stock, the price will climb ridiculously high, because they'll probably be buying them at a premium very shortly.
  5. Paramount and the others don't feel threatened that the quality of a fan-film might make their own productions look pitiful and amateur by comparison.
  6. I can't wait til Syfy comes out with "Khyron vs Sharknado vs Bearantula." It'll be a masterpiece!
  7. Actually, I can't even call that insanity... To be fair, the opinion of the bad dub, and old Minmay isn't far off. The rest is just a shining example of your stereotypical idiot teenager (heaven forbid he's much older than that) with no concept of history, no knowledge of aircraft, no respect for women in the slightest, and no clue as to how to control his own hormones.
  8. It is kinda disappointing... while I know Battlecry wasn't exactly a -great- game, it was at least enjoyable enough to play a few of the better missions every so often for some translated valk combat. Not like it had much competition, but it might be the best thing HG actually managed to produce since the original series. I don't know how successful that was as a game, but I wonder how it compares with everything else they've tried to sell in the past 15 years.
  9. I question the sentience of anyone who, upon seeing the nonsense involved in this kickstarter, would actually suddenly become a fan of the franchise. If anything, I'd assume anyone not already acquainted with Robotech would see this mess and decide it wasn't worth the storage space it took up on the KS servers. I don't think there's any possible way the publicity from the kickstarter would attract more people than it drove away. This is like the very definition of anti-achievement.
  10. Thanks for the info here, I'll probably do this fix right away.. Shame Bandai can't seem to figure these kinds of structural issues out. Dunno how they can design something so intricate, but still be so inept at tolerancing.
  11. Definitely didn't have the arm attachments, but he clearly has the leg packs. Can't tell for sure if he has the chest armor pack, but it looks like there is something bulky wrapped over the area behind the cockpit. The difference might be from separate episodes though, Alto and Luca were definitely flying around in the EXs for more than one.
  12. I think the firing effect set was just the armor itself, since the missiles took up so much room in the box.. not sure if that was mentioned earlier or not.
  13. I honestly don't know who that would be more insulting to... HG, or Family Guy.
  14. I think a lot of the name-calling/hissy fits/etc was probably burned out on the actual kickstarter comment page, rather than brought up here.
  15. Very nice! I might have to take a look at X-Plane again one of these days. I didn't realize X-Plane can actually take visual models made in other programs. The lack of free-form airframe modeling was one thing that always turned me off to X-Plane, as compared with what FSX can do. What formats does the aircraft maker take as input?
  16. Note, he said "there will still be animated Robotech." Animated Robotech already exists, and I don't see why the kickstarter failing would cause every copy of said series to spontaneously combust. Now, if he had bothered to clarify new animated Robotech, that might be different. All he did was confirm that, yes, in the 80s, there was this animated show called Robotech that you can still find DVDs of.
  17. Is CD Japan's site just completely offline today? I haven't been able to even load it since early this morning.
  18. They're under maintenance, probably from people hammering the refresh. Might come back with it up for sale I suppose though.
  19. Yeah, I had two in my cart at CDJ, but it wouldn't let me proceed. I probably could have had it if I hadn't checked the shipping options... SAL was 6500, EMS 7000...
  20. I actually haven't played it yet either, but I've watched a portion of a playthrough. I didn't see much of the actual gameplay itself, so I can't judge there, but the dialogue and cutscenes were just a non-top torrent of puns, insanity, and jokes that would leave you faceplanting on the fourth wall (the scene where he comes across a room that wasn't finished, and calls up the developers to patch it while he waits comes to mind). It's not everyone's type of humor, but I nearly died laughing. The intro to the game is actually Deadpool calling up the game's production company, and telling them, "Hey, you should make a game about me!" I'd be thoroughly satisfied if the entire Deadpool movie is about him trying to convince some big Hollywood production company to make a movie about him, while his usual adversaries try to drag funding away from that to fund other more popular superhero flicks. It would be entirely fitting, and quite perfect.
  21. I think I'd be perfectly okay with it if they just made a movie out of his game.
  22. Having only seen the single frame of animation shown on the youtube preview, I'm going to say... Scooby Don't?
  23. If it's anything like what's wrong with my Millia's canopy, it's actually the exact opposite.. they put the coating on so thick, you can barely see through it, and it'll take a lot more work than usual to remove.
  24. For whatever reason, I never got to see any of Robotech on TV until (apparently) long after Toonami even aired it. They did some sort of "Giant Robot Week" special, where they picked random mecha shows to throw at the audience. All I remember is that they showed the first episode, ending with Hikaru in the VF-1D and crashing into Minmay's house.. and then the next two episodes were the last two episodes of Mospeada. I don't know if I had learned about the entire Macross/Robotech situation by that point, but my utter confusion at the change of setting and style might have been what led me to MW in the first place. Wasn't long from there before I connected the dots, realized the stumpy red transformer I'd bought years before was actually a Millia Joke Machine, and started trolling ebay to buy my first Yamato VF-1. But I can't say I even had a passing interest in the Mospeada portion. The sudden shift to those last two episodes after seeing "Booby Trap," and being left in suspense when the VF-1D transforms and the episode ends, was just incredibly jarring. Maybe I should thank Toonami for killing my interest in Robotech before it ever started.
