  1. That's actually the one thing I do know about that game. I didn't get into the AC series until AC4, so I skipped the first generation, and found out about that mess in retrospect. I'd love to play a properly ported version, or a full translation, so I'd been keeping my fingers crossed that news of such a thing would pop up here.
  2. I think the funniest part is when people actually model the old 1/55 leg swingbars right into the airframe, as if that's how the show shows them working, let alone how they would work on a full-sized aircraft. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see fan art that included giant-sized foot-diameter phillips-head screws sticking out at various points on their aircraft.
  3. Heh.. I need to actually play that one first. I'm really not familiar with any of the content from that one, except that I know most planes used the enclosed canopies like the Falken. I'm personally really just after a good Morgan model at this point, though, possibly with a few custom tweaks to the airframe I have in mind to structurally reinforce it, so it doesn't look like the engines are going to snap off.
  4. Or a Phantasy Star Online 2 character. I'd buy that crossover for a dollar.
  5. I'm still dying for Hasegawa to give us 1/72 kits of everything. I don't know what made the AC: Infinity plane so special for it to get a full blown double release. I think I'm just going to start converting AC models into 3D printables and build my own fleet.
  6. See, while I can agree that's a good point to make, I believe all relevant discussions over whether it would work at all fall out of importance before the weight of just how ugly the thing is. When you design a craft that operates 99% on "rule of cool" you have to at least make the design attractive, or the entire point of the thing falls flat on its face. (See also: the bombers from TLJ )
  7. Given the quality of the comic, I'm picturing the droppings looking below them, and falling up instead, because of some quantum string shenanigans that has to do with overly-massive concentrations of the stuff.

You going to paint a custom orange set of packs? Honestly, all other designs aside, that is my most desired HMR release. Give us some freakin packs for all the VF-1s you keep selling us!
  9. Oh, nice, yeah that's definitely the FB2012 style shoulders and helmet. While I actually like the VFX one better, this one is accurate to the artwork. I hope they do more to fix the pilot slop though, just changing styles isn't going to keep him in the seat any better, and the instrument panel is just way too far forward.
  10. Not like I expect the paycheck to be anything that wouldn't require you also working shifts at the local grocer to make ends meet, but doing that little work and coming away with a semi-livable salary doesn't actually sound like too terrible a thing.
  11. It's also equally probable that they're going to make a nice replica of that "Monkey Jesus" mural, or wind up printing a page from the New York Times. The odds of coming up with something that people actually want to see are not very favorable.
  12. It's nice being a casual fan who just enjoys fancy transforming robot vehicles for their individual merits, devoid of any notion of "canon" or "accuracy." That being said, I love that design, partly because it looks like something out of Phantasy Star. The Firebird Arcee definitely has shades of that as well, and while I get that they've taken liberties with the original character designs, I think they just work well aesthetically.
  13. I mean... technically they did, there's just some assembly and painting required. I really do wish someone would make a dedicated 1/48 line of Star Wars fighter kits though. The ships just tend to be so small compared with modern aircraft, and some like the A-Wing or Snowspeeder really need to go closer to 1/32 before you get some shelf presence.
  14. I could absolutely see Tarantino making a Pulp Fiction-esque Ferengi heist movie though. Probably involving ripping off a Betazed wedding venue.
  15. Problem with that is that they're literally legally not allowed to continue Trek that way. Star Trek is quickly mutating into a rival for Robotech in the arena of copyright fustercluckery. If you watch some of the discussions on the subject, the entire "Prime" universe looks like it was never intended to actually be based on Trek canon, that is, all of the original series. It's some fast and loose playing with words and meanings to try and get fans to adopt the new standard, and why Discovery looks nothing like TOS. Unless all of Trek gets brought back together under some sort of CBS/Paramount re-merger, no single entity will have the necessary licenses to produce Trek that exists in what most fans know as the original canon timeline.
  16. Boy I wish we could get a proper re-tool of the old Y-Wing. Sticks out like a sore thumb between all the better scaled/proportioned ships there. A re-re-tool of the FX-mold X-Wing would be great too.. one without the limp/saggy wing mechanism.
  17. My guess would be licensing fees, really. They probably can save a decent chunk of money by not having to either license the designs, or pay the original character artists for official art of them.
  18. I think the visuals aren't going to give you any actual sense of what's been improved, because the shape really isn't any different. Will probably take having one in-hand to actually get any understanding of what's changed.
  19. Welp, looks like I can definitely scratch off at least one of my older VF-4s as a sale item. Will gladly pick one up that saves me the trouble of repainting though. I don't feel bad about this one being fancier than the others, since this would be the one I'm displaying, while the VF-4Gs get either repainted, or swooshed.
  20. So.. if that's confirmed, then it may also confirm my impression from the initial 5 seconds of the teaser. The feeling I got was that the girl is Hugh's daughter.
  21. I don't even know thing one about Mospeada, but that Legioss looks great, and I might try to grab one just to have one in my collection. Any shots of how far the feet stick out the back?
  22. It's also why the internet was subjected to Space Bieber.
  23. I have to quibble though.. wtf are those rims on the DeLorean?
  24. Oh, that's enlightening on an entirely different level. This actually makes me wonder if Bandai would be in a position to purchase Big West outright, if they considered it to be beneficial in some way.
  25. Nothing to back this up at all, just speculation and dramatic exaggeration on my part. I know they offered up the original distribution rights to Tatsunoko to help fund the series. My understanding though was that Tatsunoko never owned what HG claimed they purchased from them, and was never theirs to begin with. Paying off Tatsunoko to get those distribution rights back now smells slightly like paying a ransom to get back control of portions of the franchise they never intended to sell. I know there's a lot of legal language involved in exactly what Tatsunoko was granted, but I was always under the impression that, either by accident or design, they never made any attempt to clarify that what HG claimed they purchased was not something Tatsunoko was legally able to sell. I am glad to hear they're investing in the international market though. I saw the bit about Delta merchandise in the UK, but didn't know the scope of their pursuit of the international market.
