seen it. still ok, but nowhere as good as Hayao Miyazaki. i just felt that goro tried to use elements of his dad's past works, without coming up with something new. hayao is a big earthsea fan, so itmight have been an influence on his other works. like you said, too bad he wasn't able to direct it. would have been great, i think. blame LeGuin's shortsightendess on this, i guess.

actually, why not Bane? he's actually quite smart in the comics. i heard that the producers are reluctant to rehash any of the villains used in the previous batman movies (burton/schumacher), but PLEASE i refuse to believe that the Bane in batman & robin (god please erase that film from existence) is the same comics Bane. Bane, the man who broke batman, a mere grunting thug??! ugh. so i think bane is due for a "real" appearance in the batman movie franchise. and also, i've been racking my head to figure out which of the bat villains could be used in Nolan's realistic batman setting. and most of them just won't work, imo. Penguin? ugh. please. no matter how he's played, he's just to ugh for a nolan batman. Poison Ivy, Freeze, Clayface are almost in the realm of fantasy-sci fi, so i don't see them working in nolan's gotham. Man-Bat just can't be taken too seriously. Killer Croc was already done in Gotham Nights, and is more thug than mastermind. Riddler is possible if done right, but right after a movie that dealt with the Joker? might become duplicitous. Catwoman would work, but not as the main supervillain. which leaves us with bane. the REAL bane, mind you. realistic, intelligent, physically superior to batman, and will at one point gravely incapacitate him. this could tie in with gotham city actually needing batman, even though he's a wanted criminal. his absence would be noticed. so why not Bane?

i'm still not sure the Global was designated as SFD-4, as opposed to merely Macross 4.

yup, we never heard that particular conversation where grace explained how she was rescued from galia 4. however, it's implied from their conversation where sheryl said something like, "thank god there was a galaxy survivor there, otherwise we would never see each other again" (paraphrasing, seen the ep only once). the galaxy survivor is, i presume, brera. and we all know he'll back up any story grace comes up with. so far, sheryl has absolutely no reason to expect grace. and i'm sure at she'll react negatively to, and disbelieve, any statement that michael will make about the poison thingy. at first.

hmm... that's also possible. it would also be nice to find out that Bilrer and ozma are also into their own little conspiracy against the other group. after all, it was ozma who went to great lengths to keep ranka's origins a secret. but as you said, it's all speculation. bring ep16 on!

i would indeed be disappointed if bilra turns out to be just another person who doesn't know what's going on. so here's to hoping that he KNOWS everything. or at least most of it. the intrigue and secrecy aspect of Frontier is vastly superior to its macross predecessors. and for that, i'm enjoying it thoroughly. cathy and ozma is giving me a "misato-kaji" vibe of officers trying to get at the bottom of the conspiracy. even ozma isn't sure who to trust yet, since he warned Alto against giving too much information to Bilrer.

i'm betting that they're going to use the new OP come ep 16. ep 15 had that "end of an arc" vibe to it. and besides, if there was any episode that emphasized the spirit of the "triangler" to the full, ep15 was it. *cue Ranka singing with a triangle symbol while looking at alto*.

NO! I know the truth now. those voices are... hikaru, misa and minmei! yes, it is their ultimate plan of revenge against humanity for not launching rescue fleets to find them! before dying they saved their consciousness and merged them into one AI, and interconnected it with the rest of the fleet using fold communications. so far, it's been misa's AI that is taking the initiative. but if ranka becomes a loose cannon in their plans, wait for the minmei AI to take control, and witness the greatest sing-off in macross history! and of course, in all this, the hikaru AI is deciding which of the other two AIs to finally agree with. hehe.
