I'm kinda surprised that no one has mentioned this yet: Once upon a time in China- Jet Li (shadowless kick)vs Yee Kwan Yan (Iron vest) Yee Kwan Yan is the same guy who had a memorable fight eith Jet Li again in "Fearless" (Another great Kung fu show) This is also probably the show that renewed the fad of HK martial arts movies of the early 90's.

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.6
BlueMax replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
One is the figure height, the other set are dimensions of the box it comes in. -
Just to add.... I think the failings of intermediaries and local post offices, coupled with the lack of a tracking number is the reason why quite abit of shops insist on EMS, simply because of the peace of mind it provides, not to the customer, but rather to the retailers themselves They are not willing to do SAL because thy know that they will have to spend time to face the issue and customer, and even then sometimes things just cannot be solved easily.
-
Sometimes you need to take it a few levels up their customer service hierarchy if the junior staff are ignoring valid issues. Should you call in, get the person's name and direct number and make it the person's business to serve you and make sure that your requests are routed properly (if nobody gets back to you after she/he has promised, say within 1 day, call back and ask to speak to that same person. With their identity known + the fact that most call centres' calles are logged, people are more motivated to get things done properly. With emails, people can usually say they did not receive it due to a whole variety of reasons. If this fails, demand to speak to the Manager, same thing as above, If this still can't move, normally the best way is to write to the press (ST forum page) to make known to the masses what kind of crappy service they are giving. Singpost, being a govt-linked company, will try their best to put out the fire before it even gets printed. Of course, you would need to have all your facts as ammunition ready when they ask. I hope this helps. KJ

Hey Jasonc, very nice! You need to mass produce those decals for sale! I know I'll get a couple of sets!

Only the bigger Sal packages have a tracking number. Maybe you want to lodge an official complaint with singpost? This seems to more a failing of singpost rather than hlj's

Official Bandai DX Chogokin VB-6 König Monster Thread
BlueMax replied to Funkenstein's topic in Toys
Actually known VB-6 Monster variants should have this feature to do this: The Yamato VF-X2 version have the molded details to represent this feature, and even the original Mk I and IIs had this feature as well, though only The MK I's was shown to be used on screen. -

Nice! I espceially like the VF-1A whale hunter custom, complete with harpoon -
Why fear it? Embrace it! Like many of us have!

If the 1/60 Gamlin, Max and Millia VF-22s can be referenced, the guns should be included. Essentially they are just the original 21s with small modifications and with no FPs and stands as well.

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.6
BlueMax replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Ah... someone who shares similar sentiments... I literally had to resort to "implants" to firm up the filmsy crotchs of the VF-25s. They can finally now stand upright on their own -
Well, that fulfils the super small scale part
-
1st. Yamato doesn't have the Macross Frontier license, and not like to have it anytime in the near future. 2nd. Why not Bandai? Though they have the license, but I think the general situation is that enemy mechas don't normally sell well, thus manufacturers only produce "Hero" units most of the time, and from a mold milking point of view, they can't really milk the mold since there are no distinguished (red) Vajras . Even if bandai does decide to make them, it probably will be in a super small scale and gashapon type. Of ocurse i'll be all over it if they decide to make one in 1/50, but I just don't see that happening

From Yamato's official website(http://www.yamato-toys.com/items/detail.php?gid=1599): こちらは、2008年に発売した商品の本体単体商品となります。 「ファストパック装備」および「専用スタンド」は付属しませんのでご了承ください。 The above translated through google: Here is a 2008 stand-alone product will be released in the body of the product year. "Fasutopakku equipment" and "Stand" is not included Please note. Thus guys, not just the stands, but also the FPs will not be included this time...

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.6
BlueMax replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Just also to clarify. What I meant to say is that when the 3rd party contractor has worked for anotheR producer of high end macross toys, people would naturally think Yamato, and from there people connotes a clear toy design lineage. Of course, nothing wrong with that and it is common for different Companies to sub-contract to the same people in the industry -

BlueMax replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
When you said that : [q uote]I was told that Bandai used a different contractor for the VF-27 than they did for the VF-25 and that this contractor had experience developing high-end Macross products for another company. People will automatically think of the other company being Yamato as they are pretty much the only other company that produces high end macross toys, thus the link. Can't really fault people for thinking that way really -
Quick question about the bandai 1/60 dx's and the new yamato 2.0 v
BlueMax replied to Thai Boxer 9901's topic in Toys
Actually I have the same sentiments exactly. The cockpit of the 25 look more like 1/72 when compared to the Yamato's. For that reason, I always though that the 25 was undersized (though physically larger) relative to Yamato's VF-1 (even though the math seems to indidate that they are in fact 1/60, at least as far as fighter mode is concerned). For that main reason, none of my 25s are displayed together with my VF-1s in fighter mode. I have them all in battroid, where the scale seems more, though not perfectly, in line with each other. -

BlueMax replied to Thai Boxer 9901's topic in Toys
The VF-1 is among the smallest of VFs, so it is not surprising that the VF-25 would look bigger at the same scale... in fact, I thought that the VF-25 should have been a tad bigger for the same scale. -
Got the shoulder hinges last Saturday. Thanks to the G-man for coordinating, not forgetting the "alternative source" for getting them! Hopefully this fiasco really drives the message across that they REALLY should look more closely at this issue, and how to prevent it.

normal paint brushes, just to literally brush off the dust
-
Welcome! Good chance of it happening, especially from the high risk earlier releases, but generally fixable even if you don't have the replacement shoulder joints You can even do pre-emptive measures
-
Good for you! I'm still waiting for mine to arrive from THAT shop. Probably will use amiami henceforth for most things.
-
That would really be nice

While my lucifer hasn't arrived, I have checked it out at the shops offering it. The poster is not attached and is separate and way bigger from the actual box. It is rolled, instead of folded to avoid creasing, and often times it is up to the retailer to see if he wants to give away with with lucifer.
