My gripe with Halo is that I'd been playing FPS games for yearrrrsssss & whenever I played Halo it just felt like it should have been titled "First Person Shooter" and come in a white box. It's so generic to me.

I went with VF-17 because I love it. I wouldn't mind seeing a Blazer VF-19 though.

State of the art bang-bang > ED209. Plus in a straight up brawl, as close as Clarence was able to get to Jones... he could pull it off. Then again, I could see Jones being a step ahead of him as well. They're both so great... I think Cohaagen beats them both.

Well, I'm for different directions. How many different variants of the same thing can there be before it gets boring? Focus on something besides idols/warriors would be more interesting to me in the long run after all we've had. Macross is whatever the people that make Macross say it is. There could be action/mech, just from a different perspective.

Macross 7 takes the concepts presented in the original series & takes them a step further. It's pretty much all the same, just more in your face. I mean, really J-Rock or J-Pop Bubblegum saves the day... take your pick. It's pretty much just a more extreme situation with a more extreme protagonist. (EXTREME!!!!!!!)

I'd really be interested if they did something about what the civilians went through during the events leading up to, during and after the SDF-1 launch. They would be kinda forced into everything. Valkyries/Heroes we all know and love would be background.

Yeah, ever since they made the dragon punch Ken's "thing" & fireball Ryu's "thing" I've been annoyed at this.

I don't necessarily hate Shin/Sara.. I nothing them. Whenever I saw them, I just wanted them to get back to Roy. I almost voted for Silvie because by the time I saw M2, her archetype had become cliche to me. Then I saw Ranka & remembered all the /facepalm-ing I did every time she was on screen. Just something about her... I'd have to watch again to put my finger on it. I voted Hibiki, but after seeing some peoples' thoughts on Isamu it's a tough call. BTW- Minmay & Misa need to be split up into dyrl & sdf sections because Minmay is a different person in dyrl for the most part.

Clarence from Robocop. Totally badass. Vilos Cohaagen from Total Recall. Willing to resort to mass suffocation & creating mutants to get stuff done. I'd mention Dick Jones from Robocop, but I already think Clarence coulda pwnt him eventually & Ronnie Cox already has a spot because of Cohaagen. Interesting that I'd included them on the list though... I forgot until after I hit post.

I agree with the OP, that's why instead of buying every Yamato toy like I used to I'm holding out for my favorites. They kinda are made more for long-term display tbqh tho... Yes, they are overpriced too, but they know you can't get that detail/model anywhere else.

As long as it isn't a thinly veiled, false analogy of the previous US presidency (not that I'm a supporter, it's just a tired concept) I might like it. Looks very interesting though.

Done in a nice matte finish. Hell, I'd actually almost like the Frontier 117 (black) more because I dig the longer nose and low vis scheme. Anything with great details would make me happy.

Aside from Skull Leader (1/48 and 1/60 Zero and DYRL versions) I'm holding out for a VF-17 or VF-117 done PROPERLY. So Bandai probably won't get my money on that one... I'm hoping Yamato can leverage their Macross VFX2 license if they still have it to make at least a Blue-trimmed VF-17D (which is the cooler one anyway)

Nah. Most forums I just lurk on. This one is the one I participated in the most & I became a mod here so I could pretty much do whatever the hell I wanted. Then I quit caring about Macross and came back with no mod powers... but that's ok. Macross news doesn't interest me as much anymore anyway. Other than that, some forums just aren't worth posting to because the community is set in it's ways and if you say anything against the wrong people and you'll get called an idiot no matter how logical you are vs the ignorance of the regulars. I also agree with the earlier post about internet folk latching on to anything with a vagina, which is wh I only really talk to those few ladies that buck the trend and take care to not have internet cults form based on them.

The thing that always bothered me about Harry Potter was that the wizards don't really do anything cool with their magic (even Voldemort) & Harry always wins by doing something lame or getting lucky. Off the top of my head- The Order of the Phoenix Voldemort: I'm the most evil wizard ever and will smite you! Harry: Well you don't have any friends so you suck! Voldemort: NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Or like in the first one: Dumbledore: Well, technically Slytherin won the competition this year. But...............BECAUSE I LIKE HARRY POTTER GRIFFINDOR WINS! It's all people kissing his ass or he gets lucky. Plus, we all know Ravenclaw is the best house anyway.

YEAH THE ONLY GOOD COSPLAYERS ARE THE FAT UGLY ONES THAT ARE "TRUE" FANS! /sarcasm Ummm, people that cosplay do it to be looked at. Sheryl is attractive in the show, so naturally an attractive woman makes a good Sheryl. Who cares whether they like the show or not? If their costume looks good and is anime accurate, good for them. Besides, people are making assumptions about the cosplayers that they can't possibly back up... Taking pictures of attractive people? Unthinkable...

He was a weird guy, but in this country we are innocent until proven guilty. I'll admit I've had my suspicions of him in the past, but I would hate to have myself or a member of my family wrongfully labeled a pedophile.

Ok, how about this then; The Transformers movie, is on par with if not superior than it's G1 cartoon source material. Not quite as good as the comics, of course... but I'd wager that most people like TF because of the cartoons.
