Not liking something is fine, but I take exception when people start moralizing about how wrong or offensive a 3D figure of a 2D drawing of a not-real person is, because by extension you are then accusing anyone who purchases such an item of objectifying women or whatever it is about the merchandise that's supposedly so damn offensive.

With Bandai, there's a roughly 100% chance that I will need those decals to fix their screw-ups/oversights/carelessness.

People can like or dislike whatever they like. But I would think if you're that concerned with the plight of women and the kind of future you want for your daughter(s), then perhaps instead of wasting energy being offended by pretty tame anime merchandise, that energy would be better used to do something that actually helps women out? Like say making sure organizations like Planned Parenthood don't end up getting defunded or axed? Because they do way more for women than just abortions (which make up only a tiny fraction of the services they provide)? It's really easy to sit around and act offended as if you have the moral high ground over others. It's another to actually do something that helps.

Wow those yellow arrows were hard to see! Yellow text at the top says the pilot figure and battroid head unit are all new. The paragraph immediately below goes on to say that the head unit was created to match what's seen onscreen on the TV version (then why are the arrows yellow, Bandai?). Then it says again the pilot figure is newly created, and the last part says "as a 3D object it's an item without compromise!" So yeah, claiming to be the TV version while giving us the DYRL version is what I would expect from Bandai.

LOL If this were a Gundam poll, I'm sure most people would choose Char or Amuro. (I'd be Kai in such a poll. ) -
I don't see any black arrows on the battroid head or ejection seat markings. Could just be because it's a prototype but considering it's just a repaint of an established mold, it sure looks like Bandai is once again taking a step back. Maybe they'll throw in a movie pilot figure and some decals for the head arrows. That's all they would need to do to make it a movie version.

April was pretty hot in her yellow jumpsuit. I see that Hikaru, Max, and Roy are the top picks. Methinks some peeps think a little too highly of themselves. Then again it's limited to original series only, and the pickings are a bit slim. -
Woohoo! And a properly sized pilot too? Is Bandai tacitly admitting to screwing up the previous pilots? Now I'm really hoping for travel restrictions to be eased so I can just pick one up in person.

There's actually quite a few, just not regular retail releases. Most of them are ichiban kuji prizes and such. I ended up preordering that ridiculously expensive Gorgeous Sheryl that comes out at the end of August.

We've all been Bandai'd at some point. I can't imagine this level of carelessness directed towards Gundam fans.

I got a DX 1J that was missing an articulated hand, and when I inquired through HLJ about just getting a replacement hand, they said Bandai doesn't provide any replacement parts. That's Bandai for you. They'll screw up the QC and then refuse to provide any customer support for their screw-ups.

Thanks lol but I'm not repainting the whole thing. Just touching up the numerous paint chips and scrapes and overall sloppy paint application of Bandai's toys from this time period. The RVF was especially bad and needed touching up almost everywhere. I'll probably tackle the VF-27 next, once I get some more supplies. In the mean time I'm just slapping together a RG gunpla for fun and putting as little effort as I can into it.

I want the white Draken and the remaining super parts for the E and S. It'll be hella lame if Bandai ends up Rod'ing us on those. We know for sure the YF-21 and Kakizaki 1A are coming. After that we'll have to wait and see.

Haha I find a lot of new Gundams to be rather gaudy looking, but still, it's a giant robot with a huge sword. Still waiting for more UC MBs... -
That's a sweet looking aircraft! I can totally imagine a bunch of those getting wiped out by a couple of SV-51s. (No I'm not making fun of the aircraft; just imagining what would really happen if those two forces met in the Unification Wars.)

I genuinely think Delta is the worst Macross series ever made. I'm not trying to be hyperbolic. For whatever flaws previous shows had (and they are numerous flaws), I at least felt that the people behind them were trying to make what they thought was a good series. Delta is the only Macross series where I felt like everything was decided by a committee of MBAs and then those directives were handed off to some poor schmuck who had to build a semi-coherent script around it. It's the Poochie of Macross shows.

I got my money back from NY after disputing the charge through Paypal. I can just buy it off AJ for the same price with shipping, but get it in a few days instead of several months to a year. After Paypal ruled in my favor and returned my money, I got an email from NY saying they were generously refunding my money for the VF-4. Thanks NY!
