    Yup, four more hero VF-1s to go. Maybe we'll see some other variants but those are the ones most likely to see release by Bandai, unless they prematurely kill the line because sales aren't good enough for them. *coughDeltacough*

    Both Yamato and Bandai got the orange wrong. Maybe Arcadia will get it right if they do a reissue. We'll have to wait and see. I'm in for a PF version as I've been unhappy with how my VT-1 turned out.

    Don't you mean 4? After taking off the GBP, I think I'll keep my grey visor 1J armor-less for awhile. Yamato's curved surfaces look better than Bandai's blockier interpretation of the VF-1, IMO. She does need a panel wash, though.

    Holy cow the 1J looks so pink in you guys' pics. Made me go pull the GBP off mine to compare. Here's three "generations" of the 1J. From left to right: first release Yamato 1J with rainbow canopy, 30th anniversary Yamato reissue, and first Arcadia GBP release with grey visor. Can't get anywhere near that level of pink. You can tell the white has faded a lot on the 12 year old Yamato on the left. Used my Pixel 3 camera because phone cameras tend to exaggerate color differences more, IMO. On the Arcadia I have to put it under a bright light and look real hard to make out any kind of pink/purple hue. On a side note, it does have UN SPACY tampo printed on the legs. What a strange thing to suddenly start omitting on the latest reissue.

    Seems even for KO makers that producing a transforming valkyrie toy that won't crumble when transformed is not an easy or cheap endeavor.

    Interesting. Is it just the 1J that has it this bad? I went back and looked through some old Arcadia pics and nothing I have is that pronounced, and they definitely don't exhibit any of that pinkish hue in person. Here's my Arcadia 1S. I turned down the exposure because the white was ridiculously blinding. Some purplish hue is visible in the recessed areas. It's reminiscent of the purplish hue that I remember from Bandai's Frontier model kits. But it's nothing like the 1J above. Pic was taken with my DSLR under some super bright LED lights.

    Just part of the generally inferior fit of Bandai valkyries I talked about in another thread. It's worse on the VF-31.

    Oh wow, I just intended for TV Max to stand out, but you guys totally Vsauce'd me and showed me that the question is much more complicated than it initially appeared. @tekering has some pretty damn sharp eyes. @Saburo Fantastic pic! Taking me to school, as always. @RedComet It's some Tamiya weathering kit and a semi-gloss coat. I guess it really helps on something as plain as TV... planes.

    Encase your valks in amber so future humans will have a pristine molecular sample they can program into their replicators and create as many valks as people want. Although some people will probably say that replicated valks don't feel as good in the hand as original factory-built valks...

    Lack of SAL and EMS to the States are why I haven't bought much stuff from Japan in the past few months. Only if it's something I absolutely can't pass up (like a PF or DX release) will I take the plunge with the way shipping is now.

    Love how you managed to make the Evolution Toy actually look good! My internet was down most of yesterday (f***ing Comcast) so I started getting my old Yamato Kakizaki up to speed with the DX version. Not even close to finished.

    Holy hell that is insane! If you can get the rest of it yellowed like the one wing, you'll be well on your way to making your own custom VF-1D.
