    I always viewed the grey visor as the animation error that just got accepted as canon for whatever reason. Why would the VF-1J be any different when using armor vs any other time? UN built a different line of 1Js for the sole purpose of using the GBP? Sure, why not. That makes sense.

    DHL is great if you need something fast, but it's expensive. Most everything I buy from Japan I go SAL. I mainly use EMS just for the insurance for more expensive items (and less chance of getting broken/lost in 3-5 days). Hardly bought anything since Japan Post halted service to US.

    In the one episode that the armor appears in, the visor randomly changes color between grey and white.

    Oh that wasn't meant for you. It was for peeps who are getting super angry and want to punish Arcadia or something even though they were never going to get one anyway. Bizarre stuff.

    Looks like I'll need some of that joint fixer. Front flap on my 1A is super loose and opens at the slightest jostle.

    I'm sure the people who wanted white goggles complained when Arcadia released the grey goggles. Someone will complain about something. If you weren't planning on buying a set regardless, why would you care what color goggles it comes with? You can find the previous set for pretty much the same price. These things aren't exactly flying off the shelves. I never cared about white or grey. And since I already have the GBP and have no desire to get another, I really don't care what color goggles this set comes with.

    That's a really good price. Factor in Amazon Japan's cheap DHL shipping and it's only like 10 bucks over what I paid getting it through From Japan.

    Put my VF-11B back together. Hope Arcadia or Bandai gives us an updated version because holy hell I hate the heat shield design! Now time to fix those hideous landing gear on the DX Kakizaki.

    In the battle of Midway, the Japanese lost 3 of their 4 fleet carriers in 5 minutes. Instead of protecting and preserving their last (and irreplaceable) carrier, they they foolishly rushed her forward along with their other ships in the hopes of a surface engagement with the Americans. This allowed the Americans to take out this last carrier. So why didn't they hold back their last carrier instead of throwing her head first into danger? A carrier has no place in a surface engagement. Because for the Japanese, maintaining their personal honor and "trying their best" (頑張ってください！) was more important than preserving this last carrier, even if the results were disastrous. And so nearly 80 years later, because of that attitude, we're saddled with reverse modex numbers.
