I put in an order for a couple of stands. Hope they're as good as Yeti!
-
Got a link to their page? I'm willing to give them a try. Need more stands, and particularly need more 3D printed stand adapters.

Ask your doctor which valkyrie product line* is right for you. *Side effects may include anxiety, insomnia, bouts of rage, and sudden wallet weight loss. (Hmmm is Bandai slowly reverting back to the straight chest stripes?) -
Why Macross merchandises (toys) are relatively expensive?

I plan on having my body and my valkyrie collection shot out into the infinite void of space where, after eons in the vacuum of space (which should preserve my body and collection) it will eventually crash land on some backwater planet. The inhabitants of said planet will, hopefully, be inspired by this find to build real transforming valkyries and ships and spread out among the stars, eventually finding their way to the ruins of our world. 😁 -
I'm glad the swappable wing implementation was done much better on the HMR line than the awful 171 wings. Then again, the swapping wing gimmick on the 171 was just a cynical move by Bandai to force people to buy another armor set.

I used some of these third party decals... Er I tried posting the url from ebay but it was stupid long. Just go to eBay and search "Macross decal" and it'll come up with a bunch of decal sets. Some of the decals are Yamato sticker sheets I scanned and scaled down and printed myself. Yeah in general the HMR line really looks cheap, at least when it comes to the transforming stuff. Bandai making us pay Metal Robot Spirits prices for regular Robot Spirits quality. -

You could but you would have to remove the wheels, and I'm not sure they come off easily. I didn't bother since the silver is at least closer to white than the bare diecast on the DX line, so I just let it be. Don't feel like putting that much effort into an HMR. -
That seems to be the norm for the physical Tamashii store exclusives. Here's the Gundam I picked up from the shop last year.

Better than Arcadia, eh? Thanks! I'm sure @Chronocidal will appreciate that the landing gear parts are molded in white then painted the wrong color. -

Fixed up the HMR VF-1S a bit. Gotta fix up the super parts next. Some quick phone pics. Compared to Arcadia -
Thanks. It was just a quick and fun weekend project. Being the most iconic Macross aircraft I thought it deserved better than Robot Spirits level of (lack of) detail and it needed to be Metal Robot Spirits level.

Discovery getting canned after this season? I've never heard of such a shocking injustice that I cared so little about!

HMR has pretty much always been easy to get at or even below MSRP after release, so don't sweat it if you miss the initial PO. Also, Macross Zero doesn't enjoy the same popularity as Frontier or (sigh) Delta. I slept through the PO for the recent VF-1S and just picked one up on release day, no sweat. That's as popular a unit as you're going to get for the entire franchise.

Of course. Sometimes it's the little details that make a big difference. That would entail Bandai admitting to some kind of mistake, which they never will. They'll just say the skulls are crooked for symmetry or some BS. Naturally, the third party decal sheet with the plethora of skull insignias in a myriad of sizes is the one decal sheet I can't currently find. Otherwise yeah it would be a simple matter of stripping the skull off, touching up with a little black paint as needed, and putting a new decal on.

Left out the VF-X from earlier. So what's everyone's favorite low vis VF-1 from the Yamato days? Including the 1/48 line. -
I'm glad Eaglemoss was able to unload some of their remaining stock.

HLJ took forever to ship but recently got mine. Like that TV white over the darker DYRL tone. (The skull seems to be migrating higher up the heat shield with each release...) She looks good out of the box but needs a little work. Just gotta decal her up now. So not only are the skulls on the stabilizers not straight, but they're crooked at noticeably different angles. Good job, Bandai.

Would explain why the promo pics with Alto in the cockpit all have the canopy removed. Kinda lame. Also lame that you have to buy the figure if you want actual decals for the fighter nose kit.
