Absolutely not. -
It never does. With the 25F release next month, I think this time around I'll keep the the clean anime look, seeing as how I've already finished the SMS squadron.
-
In the case of the 25G, it's simply accurate to the show. There is no evidence to suggest this was a screw-up rather than an intentional design choice, as it appears like this consistently throughout the anime. Whereas the 25F is missing it's red and black paint on the head in the first episode, though one could simply say that that was Gilliam's 25F and Alto's is a different color variant. You don't have to like it, but in this instance there really is no one to blame except maybe Kawamori for the choice of colors.

I'm pleased to see the VF-25s being reissued with improvements, but for me it means more landing gears that need to be painted... That's how it appears in the anime.

Thanks! And no way am I going to re-repaint the landing gear! -
Wow! I guess they get dust storms in the south Pacific too.
-
Mine arrived a few days ago but haven't had a chance to set it up yet. I'll do a side by side with Yeti a little later today or tomorrow.
-
Oh snap that's a VF100? At first I thought it was the DX before I read your post. Sweet shots!

Oh wow I didn't realize that just an Angel Birds with the blue removed. Nicely done! -
Yeah a lot of the "new Trek" haters seem to view "old Trek" through rose colored goggles, as if previous Trek shows weren't pretty awful a lot of the time too.

I sympathize with your plight, but at this point I'm afraid the only way you're going to get the blue you want is to buy a model kit and paint it yourself. Or repaint the HMR to the blue you want. Bandai cheaps out on the markings anyway so it's not like you'll have to find a bunch of replacement decals for it.

That's for the best. I do the same thing when I pretend there were no Matrix sequels.

Ep5 was another good episode. This really is the show we should have gotten from the start. If they can keep up this level of quality and not stumble in the second half of the season, then Picard will have deftly avoided becoming the worst Trek series ever. Sorry, Voyager!

Like that custom VF-1 -
Why does Bandai have such a problem with letting people buy their crap?
-
Oh yeah definitely like the bigger Hasegawa Regult next to the HMR VF-1.
-
Great you made me order one. How big is it next to the HMR Regult?
-
Bandai would rather make far too few toys to meet demand and miss out on potential revenue than risk even one unit sitting on the shelf.
-
Ep4 was good. So far season 3 is way better than the previous seasons, though that's an extremely low bar. Remains to be seen whether any of these story threads lead anywhere interesting. Actually liking Captain Shaw a lot.

Yeah I regret not getting a YF-19 and YF-21 pair.

I was thinking about this. You know how when you blow up an image it becomes blurry/pixelated because the data and resolution is still at whatever smaller image size it was originally? Well, somehow Bandai managed to reverse the process and lose image fidelity by scaling down. 😁
