yes. no question. despite it being slightly inferior (depending on your view) to the R2 renewal set this is without question the best edition of Eva to hit R1. I just finished watching volume 2 and the difference in quality is remarkable. From a collector's perspective be careful with your new box though. the silver box takes damage easily (particularly if ordered online) and the cardboard slipcovers also need some care.

i think this voltron looks quite nice. my only objection is that the sword should taper out a bit (though that could be because of the angle of the photo).

well i've got the entire collection and would never give them up. i think they were a great read with some great ideas on the series as a whole.

i've been collecting the voltron comics since v1 (including the variant covers). its not a bad read and has kept my interest thus far but i imagine at some point i'll drop it just like i dropped thundercats and parts of Transformers - the stories are never hard hitting enough (i.e the good guys always win, no one ever dies, etc).

personally i'm completely bored with macross. i'm sick of VF-1 mechs ad naseusm and i wouldn't raise much of an eyebrow if yamato stopped making valks altogether.

TC is a great place. haha funny that you said that about otaku..i had a minor issue with an order with them as well. i'm pretty certain this book was available from Diamond Previews a month ago as well so i wouldn't be surprised if it popped up at local comic shops if anyone could take some sample pics of the book that would be great

no it doesnt have the deleted scenes re-added i myself would have wanted to see the supposed scene where luke is on dagobah training and slices up trees, etc.
