  1. Yes, that was pretty fast. I placed an order, then revisited the page and it still said "Preorder". I'd suggest rechecking the page frequently. I've been keeping an eye on it for about the past week and finally scored.
  2. Yes, I agree, folks should cancel their pre-orders and save their money
  3. So, is there any place left to pre-order the January Ozma release other than Anime Export at $181?
  4. Well, I suspect they are called 'toys' for a reason
  5. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280771826319&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123 Beat this price...$1,065.
  6. A quick question regarding Hobbysearch...they have Alto listed as "Sold Out", but Ozma is "Reservation Closed, waiting list e-mail". What's the difference? Does the wait list imply they might get more of the toys in at some future point (whereas sold out means sold out)?
  7. BTW, for those of us who haven't yet jumped on the Ozma pre-release order wagon...who still has it for sale? And, what's the best price?
  8. I just saw that eToysJapan still has the Alto renewal for around $183. You might want to check it out.
  9. I have purchased several Macross toys (Yamato and Bandai) over the years and didn't seem to notice any difficulty in acquiring said toys. But, over the past year, every time I have looked into purchasing a new toy they always seem to be sold out before the actual release dates. Is every release a "limited" release? What's the chance any particular transformable toy will get a re-release? I have been particularly frustrated with the recent YF-29 and re-issues of both VF-25 renewals. The Ozma renewal is still a couple of months away and it's sold out pretty much everywhere I've checked. Also, with everything selling out so quickly, the prices on secondary markets go through the roof very quickly. Anyway, your thoughts and opinions are welcome...
  10. hey there, another collector from Seattle.

  11. It has been a while since I visited the forum. So, my question is: what happened to all of the Macross Frontier Bandai 1/60 DX Chogokin toys for sale? They haven't been out more than a year or two and it appears they are either all sold out or discontinued everywhere I look. About the only thing I can find is the 1/60 DX Chogokin VF-27 Lucifer Brera Sterne Custom. Is there any 1/60 version of Alto or Ozma still around?
  12. funkymonkeyjavajunky on Youtube. Looking forward to it.
  13. In reply to boyarque's comment: One complain though, the wrist is not tight enough to hold the rifle in one hand, so you gotta use two hands to hold the gun, or rest the gun in this position.... I've solved the one handed gun grip. Bend one arm to 45 degrees and wedge the rifle butt under the same side front engine vent and the arm's elbow. The gun will point up a few degrees but will hold nearly straight out without any other assistance.
  14. I have yet to buy a VF-25 Alto and am a bit confused as to how many versions have been released. My question is: if you can buy only one VF-25 Alto which is the best choice and dealer (for price)?
  15. Amiami is fast. I received my VF-27 today and got my shipping notice last week. First impressions...this is a gorgeous toy with lots of detail. I get the impression any grey or white painted details are very easily scratched off. Otherwise, the paint job looks intact. One of the wings has some minor abrasions. Also, the front landing gear (even though it is slightly angled back when out) keeps collapsing. It won't lock into place. Regardless, well worth the investment.
  16. This has already probably been mentioned (somewhere in this thread) but what are the improvements of the VF-27 over the earlier VF-25s?
  17. Sent a bunch of money to Ami Ami. Now the waiting begins... BTW, what was the final shipped price for the VF-27 from Anime Export?
  18. I've placed two orders with them and had no problems. Their prices are pretty good. I can't say their shipment packaging is great (HLJ has the best) but it gets the job done.
  19. This may have already been asked...but who has the repaints for the best price (with shipping)?
  20. My VF-25G finally arrived yesterday. I was impressed at how compact the box (must be from the 1/60 scale) was compared to my numerous, far more bulky, Yamato boxes. The toy is absolutely gorgeous. Tranforming is straightforward; toy is solid construction; and very tight in the joints. Although, keeping the armor parts from falling off if I breathe on them was a bit annoying. Also, I had some difficulty locking the head base plate into place as it is difficult to reach from below. And, must be careful about the paint job. Now I just need more money to buy another one...
  21. My 25G shipped from Anime Export a couple of days ago. Now the waiting game begins ...
