    It's ironic that when the toys were poorly designed you could buy them anywhere, whereas now that they're good you cannot get them (except for the lucky few or really determined).

    Ok, I guess I over-exaggerated. I do have a couple of the renewals and admit they are a vast improvement over their originals. I do not have a 19 or 17 (didn't 19 have the crooked gun placement and another notable issue?) But, for just out of the gate, the YF-29 gets a lot of things right (as well as the 27).

    I also received my YF-29 from Otacute (two days ago). Kudos to them for coming through. I think out of all the toys so far, this one has the most gimmicks I've seen. It's the best engineered toy so far, with only a few minor issues (PVC antennas, lack of cockpit detail, lack of turbine detail/paint)

    As much as I love the fixes/improvements in the renewal series, no fast packs means I'll wait. That, and the impossibility of actually buying one of these toys. They became available around 2 or 3am PST and are gone in mere minutes??

    $213.94 from Otacute and just got shipping confirmation. Gads, this is an expensive hobby (the most I've spent on any single toy), but I'm just glad I was able to get one of these since they were extremely underproduced.

    I'm curious how folks keep the armored intake covers from falling off while in gerwalk mode? These pieces don't have anything to hold them on other than the small magnets (which don't seem to work in this mode).

    Why does HLJ have to re-open pre-orders when I'm asleep? 1:30am PST on the West Coast.

    How can you re-sell something that you have yet to receive. What if someone pre-sells an item on Ebay, but doesn't actually get the item? Their pre-order might get cancelled.

    So, just out of curiosity, does anyone know how many of these toys are produced with an original release? Seems to me like one or two thousand considering very few people can even place an order. Just my two cents...

    I find it amazing that anyone will shell out more than $200 (before adding shipping costs) for this toy. I know it's a vast improvement over the first release, but no armor or fastpacks? At least the U.S. dollar to Yen rate is improving (1 USD = 81.1600 JPY)

    I guess I'll have to keep a close eye on their website. I have yet to purchase anything from Ami Ami because everything is always out of stock, months before release. Is it just because Bandai produces so few toys, or Ami Ami carries only a small stock?
