Has anyone ordered through Anime Export? I just noticed their website seems inactive and am a bit concerned.

Has anyone ordered from Anime Export? Do they send a shipping invoice or tracking number? What does order status "Standing" signify? I've already paid and am just waiting for shipment.

I've noticed that most everything Macross Frontier related on Overdrive's site is sold out. How does a person learn of new items for sale, and how fast do you have to order before they're all gone?

Is anyone else having difficulty getting the fastpacks on? I got one on, but after half an hour of working the other one haven't succeeded. Any help is appreciated.

I'd debate over Two Towers being better than Fellowship of the Ring, but agree to everything else you say. The few good sequels vs. the many bad ones. Anyway, I plan to see Indy IV in a few hours and don't plan on overcomparing it to other films, but just enjoy the ride.

OK, all of the support and bashing of this film got me to thinking...can or has there ever been a sequel (that has been released more than a few years after the original) to a succesful movie that meets or exceeds our enjoyment of the earlier film? It seems that our expectations will always be more demanding with newer films than the earlier ones, and the earlier films tend to become classics that are set on high pedestals. Star Wars Episode 1 is a great example of a film that couldn't possible meet audience expectations as the original trilogy has become a yardstick by which to judge sci-fi films. I can only think of one film that met/exceeded our expectations of the original: Aliens (1986).

My own collection is growing rather fast since I just got in the mail (delivered to my work address on the same day) 1/48 low vis. armor parts, VF-1J Stealth and VF-1A Angel Birds The latter two are from HLJ's sale. The prices were too good to pass up. Now if I could just find some 1/48 Stealth Super and Strike parts...

So, who is familiar with Angolz? They list this toy as a preorder. Do they take your info if you place an order, or do they take your money up front? I seriously doubt they're gonna starting shipping these items out any time soon if ever.

I started collecting last year with Yamato's VF-0S and proceeded to get sucked into the high-cost, yet very cool, addiction that is valkoholism. I have around a half dozen toys so far. I wish I could have started collecting a year earlier as a lot of boxsets are now difficult to find (i.e., YF-19 with booster/fastpack, VF-1J Stealth with super/strike parts, urban armor parts). Any suggestions where I can find these?

Does anyone know how many copies of this Weathering Special have been made? I'm asking to determine the "collectibility" of the toy. I'm a bit surprised that folks are willing to pay $400-500+ for one when all you get on this reissue is a blue box sleeve and a nice bit of weathering. I had no problems shelling out just over $300 for my VF-1A Low Vis 1, but is the Weathering Special worth even more? Your thoughts and opinions...

Actually, I brought up the "navigating the website" question last week I think it's confusing considering all of the non-familiar fields to enter on the first screen. I'm looking for someone who reads Japanese to help me out before I accidentally forfeit my first-born.
