Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.2
Valkyrie addict replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
hmm...still looks like c rap, but if this thing is sturdy and not fragile like the Yamato's I would seriously consider getting myself one, I'm getting sick of things breaking cause of a 'design flaw' -
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........*drooool*.... Yamato should hire you...

far as I know the only problem with the 1/48 were the first releases a long time ago with the breaking BP8 part when misstranforming it...after it, perfect I say it's a design flaw, the QC guy probably transforms it enough stressing the piece (without his knowledge) and it finally arrives to our hands the life expectancy of the part has been drastically shorten I want to know if any VF-1A with the supposed fix has reported any breaking...and if the stand alone VF-1S has this fix also...

well...i just gotta say that after about errr...close to another month of not fiddling with my valk since my last rant about the right shoulder breaking, got my hands on it again and after transforming I notice now that the left one is cracked... hmmm...

actually you have to sand the seam line on the canopy with a very fine grit sanding paper, around 1200 grit, this will leave the sanded part foggy and scratched, if you put it in water, the canopy will look pretty good, you then use polishing compound, you can use the kind use on cars or hobby ones like the tamiya you just need to read the label that indicates that it's for fine scratches, when polishing this will fill the tiny gaps done by the sanding and will leave a smooth almost shiny surface with no ugly seam line, but not perfect, for that extra glass shine look, dunk in future and voila! -
nice...keep us posted

a DYRL style Frontier movie... call me crazy, but DYRL the story itself doesn't make much sense with the cramming the original story in a 90+ minute film, Frontier has sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oo many things going on that the movie would had to be something like 3 hours long to cram so much stuff in there so that it will make partial sense... if they do a DYRL style movie, it will look more like a clipshow with a commentator explaining everything that's going on they can continue the story... Grace can still come back and we could get a resolution to the whole galaxy cyborg thing

Macross Frontier Criticism
Valkyrie addict replied to yellowlightman's topic in Movies and TV Series
I never cared about shadow chronicles, at first I was curious about how will they continue the Robotech franchise, but read a few reviews here on MW and didn't felt it was worth it... casually, a few days ago I catched a clip of Shadow Chronicles on an anime TV clip show and that thing was so horrible I just had to swtich the channel, my god it was awful awful... on the subject of criticism... is Evangeleon really that good?? I saw the OVA's... then saw the remake last episode whatever with a more glorious finale for the chick in red and sorta explanation of the ending only being left with that 'i feel sick' comment by the chick... and seriously... the plot is interesting but left a lot to be desired and the ending is so messed up, kinda like those movies where you are taken for a 2 hour mindfart and in the end you realized it was all a dream... like.... why did I went trough all this hassle?? is that it?!?! seriously... is evangeleon that good?? it's good mecha porn but... c'mon! -
Macross Frontier Criticism
Valkyrie addict replied to yellowlightman's topic in Movies and TV Series
ouch...tough review on colony drop I do agree with a couple of thing of his but that's overanalizing an animated TV show that's meant only to entertain you, if you want something to make your mind work, go read a thriller novel or something anyway! I do agree, Frontier isn't perfect, I've criticized and questioned a few aspect of how some stuff works on Frontier, but it's doesn't derail me from enjoying the show, I actually, don't even like anime, but Frontier is certainly for me, best of what's out there, and there's a lot of crap out there, only two gripes I have with the show ending, Brera, he's good, he's evil, you tryed to killed so many times I lost count, but I don't care, you didn't even APOLOGIZE for being under mind control and trying to kill me... but who cares, right?? that's silly... and the no resolution for a love triangle... if you introduce a love triangle, you must solve it or if you had no intention of solving then make balantly clear that someone in the triangle didn't gave a crap about the other person (like Basara with Mylene in Macross 7), I know this will probably be address in the movie but still... you know -
oh crap, sorry, I thought I was in the toy forum, hahaha

so...what makes the Vajra blow up? they are essentially just big bugs, if they get stabbed they bleed, but if they get shot they blow up, small green, medium yellow and the big red lobsters... oh yes, don't forget, if you cut one of their sharp tails and throw it at them they blow up too... any reason? or is this just the hollywood syndrome that everything that gets turn over or shot HAS to blow up? -
