  1. The YA-10B looks like an egg plane A-10, I think it's cute. :edit: Also, lol Saab.
  2. I'm pretty sure that's just a floor plate form one of their chain base sets Kotobukiya Mechanical Chain Base 2 by AntSizedMan, on Flickr
  3. no idea who this is but I like the 1/12 scale P90
  4. I'm sitting this one out after all. The Carter version will be coming to retail stores and that's the only version I wanted to get anyways. Given how things have gone in the past it'll probably end up costing more ($200 + $10~$20 for shipping) getting it through BBTS, but I'll have 5~6 months to save up before I have to pay and I'll be able to cancel that pre-order at any time if something else comes up (catastrophic financial meltdown or them announcing a Master chief and/or Emile figure).
  5. 3A's halo figure goes up for pre-order in just over half an hour... I don't know if I should do it. I've already cancelled some HLJ pre-orders and passed up some ebay purchases to free up the 200$, but I feel like I shouldn't do it... being broke sucks.
  6. A screw driver is going to scrape away all the paint from the tip of the shoulder pauldron and didn't say anything about pulling the legs strait down. Fold up the tail fins, unpeg the wing from the lower leg then twist the lower leg outward, that will pop the inner clip free of the shoulder with minimal force.
  7. Action comedy? sure. For emo kids? no.
  8. I would absolutely not under any circumstance use a screwdriver on to pry up those parts. If you're having trouble separating them from the legs when transforming out of fighter mode, the best thing to do is fold the tailfins down and un-peg the wing gloves then rotate the legs to pop them free of the shoulders.
  9. I still find the price/fun ratio of hasbro TF's to be a lot better than third party stuff. I can't afford to get either though with all the cool (and expensive) Non transformers related stuff I want right now.
  10. The eyes (the whole face really) are kind of meh. She's got nice tits though.
  11. You darn kids and your fancy recorded media. In my day if we wanted to listen to music we had to play it ourselves; and we had to MAKE our own instraments out of old wash buckets and string. GET OFF MY LAWN!!!
  12. It's mostly that I don't like how it's used in the movie. The whole 'it's actually an escape pod that constitutes a third of the tumbler's mass' thing was rediculous as was it's ability to roll it's wheels purpendicular to their normal rolling axis. Aesthetically, there's nothing wrong with it but It doesn't absolutely wow me just sitting there either. :edit: Maybe I do
  13. I'd actually prefer them to not be a combiner so it'll be easier to resist getting all of them. I dig the sudo-reventon, I'd assume it's going to be breakdown.
  14. but I don't even like the bat-pod. and I don't have the space or money for one even if I did want it. and if I did have the money for it I'd by that VMF50 doll instead. :edit: and the hot toys' one is still a doll.
  15. I just got back form watching The Dark Knight Rises and I still dislike the bat-pod and the bat jet; I'd never consider buying either even if I could afford it, but I sudently really want that an Anne Hathaway doll.
  16. saw it today as well. I actually liked it. I still prefer the first one but this one was a signifigant improvement over the last one (which I found incredibly meh). I'm cool with three hours of Joseph Gordan-levitt, I like him as an actor and found his character interesting. less time spent on Batman means less time having to listen to Bales stupid grumble grumble voice, which is a plus in my book. speaking of stupid voices, I really didn't like how bane was voiced. I like tom hardy, but god damn it was the accent he chose aweful. It's not even the fact he was hard to understand, it's the fact that every other instance in which he spoke he sounded like god damn Sean Connery in The Untouchables. I just couldn't take him seriously with that voice (and the goofy mask didn't help matters). And on the subject of goofy things, 'The Bat' was absolutely moronic. I thought it was stupid looking before I saw the movie but seeing it in action and having it's design explained did absolutely nothing to change my mind (honestly it made me hate it even more). It's a giant flying lobster exposed spinning blades strategicly placed throughout it to optimise the chances of horrificly killing ground crew. Honestly though, all of Batman's vehicles are nonsensical and doofy so I guess it's par for the course. That said, there was a lot to love. Joseph Gordan-levitt was great and I really loved Anne hathaway, their characters where perhapse my favorite parts of the movie. Michael Cain, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman where all great as usual and I absolutely loved Cillian Murphy's cameo. All and all, the secondary and side characters really made the movie for me. Bane and Talia were an improvement over TDK's villans but I still prefered Liam Neeson and Cillian Murphy.
  17. Almost had an embalism when I looked at my clock and noticed it was 7 after 6pm hear. Picked up a kyu slicer. I'm super excited about that bot head, although I've got a feeling it'll be the mini bothead that showed up at SDCC last year and not the full toddler's skull-sized bothead of old.
  18. According to the line art the shoulder pauldrons stick out a fair bit past the grey hinge parts on the chest. on the toy they're not. They SHOULD slide forward in order to match the lineart.
  19. +1 wholeheartedly. I don't like the VF-2SS as a design and would never buy one, but now that I know for sure that the VF-4 is getting made, Yamato can do whatever the hell they want. Heck If they decided to do a Metal Siren I'd applaud them for being crazy. :edit: TBH, I'd be ineterested to see the engineering that would go into a VF-2SS+SAP. And those poor MacII fan's deserve some love after all these years.
  20. The shoulder pauldrons should slide forward a bit. So there will (hopefully) be a bit less back overhang. I really dislike tan colored nose cones on jets; they look goofy to me. White, black or Grey as contrasting colors and that's it.
  21. I like the giant 171 on it's chest. It's so when the VF-171 falcon punches a space lobster to death, that space lobster knows exactly who killed him right before he blows up. That's about as badass as you can get right there.
  22. SDFM (series) DYRL (movie) FB2012 (OVA) Macross II (OVA/Movie) Macross Plus (OVA/Movie) Macross 7 (Series) Macross 7: The Galaxy is Calling Me (short film) Macross Dynamite 7 (OVA) Macross 0 (OVA) Macross Frontier (Series) Macross Frontier: The False Diva/Wings of Goodbye (movie) Honestly, I'm not seeing very definitive patterns here (too small sample set, etc). There's kind of a trend to do series, fallowed by theatrical film(s) related to that series, then OVA(s) related to that series, then do OVA(s) about something completely different before starting a new series. If that's the case We'll probably see an OVA featuring Macross Frontier characters in the next year or two, then it'll be 5 years until we see another OVA that's got a new cast/setting.
  23. Iron Man 3 armor is desert camo: http://www.comicbook...s/news/?a=63780 also, Marvel is saying that the "Iron Patriot" suit is War Machine with a new paint job. http://blastr.com/20...-the-iron-p.php :edit: and on an unrelated (and semi-off topic since it's a technically not a 1/6 figure) note, hella Action portable TK stuff from threeA happens this Friday (9am hong kong time). all three slicer and three heavy TK's in 1/12 scale. http://www.threeaonline.com/blog/?p=3137 Also, Kyuuketsuki does in fact come with a bot head. If he ends up 3AA only I'm going to be incredibly pissed.
  24. I think I'm gonna end up passing on Cherry to make room for this and I'm praying the AP slicers aren't too expensive.(closer to $50) I was really hopping for bot heads with them, but now not so much.
  25. why did it cost you 900? I thought they where $500
