  1. maybe I'm just seeing things, but the more I look at it, the more it looks like it has old school swing bars for the leg transformation.
  2. I Kancolle. wait, what are we talking about?
  3. why is it that every time bandai does a VF-1, I feel like the legs are too small for the rest of the figure.
  4. that is one sexy fighter silhouette.
  5. I still say the VF-3000 is a much better, cooler updated VF-1 than the VF-5000.
  6. but the VF-4 looks good in every mode and from every angle.
  7. I love the frontier design language. I may be in the minority but I love the way he battroid looks.
  8. I don't hate the AMG GTS, but it's so much less attractive than the SLS AMG it's replacing.
  9. From looks alone, the Draken is my all time favorite real world fighter.
  10. IIRC, the hip guns on the 25 were originally 25mm shell firing cannons, but the ones operated by SMS in the show were converted to beam cannons for use in space.
  11. Sometimes I almost feel bad for how little I like the VF-5000 compared to everyone else. I don't hate it by any means, but it just doesn't capture my interest the way it seems to for other people.
  12. wow, It's hard to believe it was that long ago. I remember seeing that issue for sale in an F.Y.E. in the mall and absolutely NEEDING to buy it because of that picture. I don't think I have it any more, I know I read it so many times that it eventually started to fall apart.
  13. But the astrea is way cooler than the Qan[T]. I want this for sure. is it going to be mass released, web elusive, or not sold at all.
  14. can we just talk for a second how this is basically a variable figher version of a SAAB Draken, and is therefore the most awesome thing they could possibly include in a Macross series? Can David get in here to back me up on this?
  15. part of me really wants this because I'm getting kind of obsessed with toys in the 24 inch height range, but part of me says this is way too big and too DYRL to be desirable. I think I'd rather have a 1/3500 scale TV SDF-1 toy that transforms.
  16. If it's not going to transform I'd want it to be even bigger, like Jumbo machinder size.
  17. something else I just realized that makes me want this even more but also makes me kind of sad: this is probebly the closest were going to get to a 1/60 scale VF-19ACTIVE
  18. OH MY GOD, I frakkING LOVE SAILOR MOON! re-shooting this photo with valks would be hilarious Sailor Scouts by Michael Ringot, on Flickr

  20. I wouldn't trust wall mounting anything that can't be snapped back together after it falls to the ground and shatters into a million pieces.
  21. sailor moon was already in space. anyways, I'm fingers crossed right now for one of the green ones. the more conventional wing and color scheme does a lot more fore me
  22. man, I go to bed and so much activity happens. Well, It looks like I'm going to be buying valks again, because that looks awesome and will be mine. I hope bandai decides to go with clear stand adapters for this line.
  23. I'll agree to unicorn. I was gonna put that down but I wanted to keep it to top 3. the OG gundam is kind of hard to talk about because it does define what a gundam is; but at the same time I find it almost too basic, to the point where it's more of a template than an actual design in of itself. Also, there's so many variation on "RX-78" some of which are really terrible. I'm gonna completely disagree on zeta though and say that Hi-Nu has never been high on my list either. Zeta is cool because it's from a good show and did cool things; just from how it looks alone though, it's kind of an awkward design. Neither the Hi-Nu nor the Nu gundam has really sat right with me. the Hi-Nu has a much better color scheme and backpack, but take those away and everything else is better executed on the Nu gundam. and going back to wing for a second, Wing Zero to me always felt like it was trying too hard. it's perhaps he most egregious example of "we changed things for the sake of changing things without thinking about why we're changing them. I like wing Gundam because it captures the essence of the classic gundam design, while also embodying a shows aesthetic and communicating a clear specialization and function without becoming too bogged down by it's own gimmick Exia and turn A are still my all time favorites because they take the core Gundam concept and translate it into there own unique, holistic design languages.
  24. Yeah, but the new fedex logo is a lot better than the old federal express one.
