  1. I have plenty of fun in WoW and when I get too bored, I find something else to occupy my time. Regardless of what, who, how, why, when or genre an MMO is an MMO is an MMO. Personally, lore and storyline make games enjoyable for me. If I can do a quest or hundreds of quests that are linked together forming a story, the same MMO formula no longer applies. It's the reason ToR will have me at it's mercy for a long time to come; it's supposed to be incredibly story rich. All too many people play MMOs purely for the pvp or to be omgwtfawesome because they seem to forget the rest of the acronym, RPG and then complain when it's boring. Yeah, you skipped every piece of actual content in the game, including the reason why you're killing this boss or that boss just to get gear to show off your epeen or to get points to buy pvp gear. Sorry for the long winded, off topic-ness of that. mike, I do feel ya, though. <3
  2. As long as I can have all the stuff I already acquired and keep the store points I have rotting, I'm down to play again. I just couldn't afford to play this, DCUO and WoW.
  3. Kind of a "judging interest" post, and quite possibly not the place for it, but would there be one of you fine gentlemen interested in a brand new(unopened) Intel i7 2600k processor? A real life incident may be barring me from finishing my new computer at all and I may need to get rid of what components I have. Drop me a PM if you might be, if dis ain't da place, my apologies ahead of time.
  4. What were the opening scenes in that Macross Plus video from? One of the movies?
  5. If they even continue selling consumer PCs in the next few months. WebOS and Palm are just the start of HPs future weirdness.
  6. Once we were allowed to sell them again today it took all of 15 minutes to sell around 30 of them. Was crazy.
  7. Holy sh*t. 49 inches?!? Holy sh*t. $400. Holy, holy sh*t.
  8. $50 PS3 price drop announced at Gamescom. Effective immediately in the US and Europe with Japan on Thursday. Source.
  9. There is one prime storyline for most characters and universes whether it be DC or Marvel. That being said, DC is resetting the entire universe and every comic line they're keeping in September. I'm sure Marvel has something in the rafters waiting to see how DCs reset goes.
  10. I sometimes wonder if anyone around here read/reads the comics for any of these movies, at all, ever.
  11. I thought the same thing. I think the second Earth is going to be a back burnered kind of thing for most of the movie.
  12. Only speaking for myself here, but I never enter a thread for a movie I haven't seen or game I haven't played. Sorry you got it spoiled, Renato. =\
  13. As far as I know the Transformer Edition is only some badging here and there. The ones in the movie are based off the original concept and have changed throughout each movie and are running some pretty heavy mods.
  14. I don't know what people are complaining about. I was watching the E3 gameplay videos and the game looks great.
  15. Nah. You could get one with a router built in, but if you already have one that works well, there's no reason to replace it.
  16. That's actually one of the ones I was talking about, shiroikaze. BeyondTheGrave, the biggest issue you're going to run into if you try to buy your own is finding that kind modem/gateway that's wireless N and DOCSIS 3 compliant. Those things are still in the stoneage when it comes to both hardware and firmware.
  17. You can get a good DSL/Cable modem for $70-$100. $130-$170 if you want a router built in. Be wary of getting a replacement though, I've gotten a lot of stories from customers recently about their units not being new in box but something, similar to what you said, the install guy had to dig around for or like mine: My Comcast installer had to leave to go back to the main office when I ordered a new HD DVR receiver and a new modem that supported DOCSIS 3. He spent the better part of an hour trying to get the receiver to talk to the office because they were all locked or broken. The modem he brought back with him was tore up. It looked like someone ran it through a dryer with a bunch of rocks and nails. They wanted to charge me $150 for a "brand new" modem if I didn't like the one they gave me. I ended up buying one from work and telling them to stuff it.
  18. The king's voice is the original Lion-O. That's awesome.
  19. I loved it and plan on seeing it like 30 more times over the weekend. It took the second one out and put a bullet in the back of its head.
  20. I get to see it tonight for free thanks to HP. Soooooo stoked right now.
  21. If it were in my area, I'd say word of mouth. We get a lot of people who come to us to fix what the local Staples' have done to their computers. Being in a smaller community where everything is busy body or word of mouth, it's not hard to lose a customer base for things like that. Geek Squad is by no means the best on the block in a lot of areas, but ours is pretty top notch.
