  1. It was the Flying Fighters I was thinking of. Edit: In my searching I found this. Not what we're talking about but still cool.
  2. I think you guys are way too purist sometimes. These look great. =P
  3. That's not entirely true. N based systems can, but not always, eliminate interference problems you may or may not have in your home. Cordless phones, older bluetooth, and microwaves to name a few. All can cause really bad interference on G based systems. The range is a good thing to factor in too. Odds are you'll end up with a better signal in certain environments with N than you would with G because of the overall range it can push. There's a better chance of it penetrating walls and such.
  4. And that is why I am totally ok with having enjoyed this movie. That guy is a clown and has clearly never met, known or crossed the street across from a Marine. He's bitching about cheesy jokes when the punchline to his website is "just the way your mother likes it?" Someone define irony for me. As someone who also got sick enough to leave the theater for Cloverfield, I can say it's nowhere near as bad.
  5. Has anyone picked up Naussica on blu ray yet? If so, how's the quality, features, etc? My store didn't get any copies so I'd have to order it but I want to be sure it's worth it.
  6. That trailer made it look a lot more interesting than the "It's JJ, what can go wrong?" I had in my mind.
  7. First off, don't go in expecting Skyline. It was MUCH, MUCH better. Skyline was a waste of time, money and brain cells. B:LA was actually really good. From the acting, to the dialogue. I went in with no more expectations than a few hours of sitting next to my buddies elbow to elbow and got a hell of a lot more. The story was about as solid as it was going to get for an action movie. Aliens attacking. WTF WHY? We're being overrun. Action sequences. GET SOME. End. That being said, it wasn't too predictable or boring.
  8. I'd have favored getting run over on the freeway if I knew what I was getting into with Black Swan.
  9. I NEVER KNEW WHAT THEY WERE CALLED. I HAD THOSE WHEN I WAS A KID! You rock so hard A7. SO hard.
  10. Printing could be an issue depending on what printer you have. Bluetooth and e-print are pretty much the primary ways to print off of phones easily. I honestly can't think of any issues I've ran into other than the forced mobile versions. I use my Incredible for a lot of my banking and credit cards and can log into all of those sites without an issue. I use those as an example since security for a lot of those sites can be picky.
  11. OOOOH. I gotcha. I thought you meant use your phone as a connection device for your computer. Anything with 2.2/3 Android OS is really nice and supports flash. I have an HTC Incredible and really enjoy it. The only issues I run into are some websites force a mobile version even though the phone can handle the real version. This mainly effects me on youtube. I can't view some stuff there because I've been forced into the mobile version of the site. Otherwise, everything else works pretty nicely. I hear flashing it can fix this problem but am too much of a chicken to test it. Then there is the iPhone. It is an awesome phone too, but doesn't support flash which I've found is a pain in the ass sometimes. Data speeds are generally really good. Streaming hd video on youtube is never an issue running on the regular 3G Verizon network with my Incredible. Also, if you wait another month or so, the new dual core phones are supposed to start hitting the market and are poised to smoke everything currently out. Not to mention Androids 2.5/6 OS hiding in the rafters which are both supposed to be amazing.
  12. You're looking at $15/25/30 a month for a data plan you MUST have on most phones that will tether. Then you need to add the $20-30 plan for tethering itself. You might want to look into getting a mobile broadband card from Verizon or Att. They're $35 a month with a 3GB up/down soft cap, and $10 a gig after that. If all you use it for is what you say, you'd have a hard time using it all up. Sprint has one too that is $60 a month with unlimited, BUT the unlimited part only works in "4g" areas. Otherwise it's a 5GB soft cap. From what I've been told there are ways for using your data plan for tethering with jailbreaking(iphone)/flashing(android) but if your phone company finds out they'll nail you to the wall for it.
  13. Alarm clock, lamp, airsoft Glock, some pens, a few work schedules, a "Perfect Attendance" coffee cup full of pennies and Skin Trade, by Laurell Hamilton, 5 chapters in.
  14. I don't see why they just don't use the 12V rechargeable batteries used in most off the shelf RC cars. That would eliminate the need for all the extra space for the C or D batteries, not to mention it would reduce a LOT of waste.
  15. I still don't know where comments like this come from. The other two movies were incredibly popular in theaters and on disc. For every purist or collector out there, there are 10, 100, 1,000 people who actually enjoy the movies and will enjoy the third one.
