Good point. They could probably reuse the boxes for the 1/60 strike vf-1s, superostrich and elintseeker. These would be large enough to accomodate the fighter, and fast packs if included. Not to mention that they would still be considerably smaller than the 1/48 boxes, and the 1/60 vf-0 boxes.

Unfortunately for us Yamato knows how to make a mean female figure. Which means that Minmay will be a certain buy provided that they go with an interesting pose and costume. I bet she will be in her DYRL badolza battle dress. Its her most iconic outfit.

If they offered them without Fastpacks that would make them in essence much cheaper, which I suspect is part of the reason that they decided to revisit this scale for the vf-1 series. If these are close to $100 bucks I see no reason to buy it vs a 1/48. Unless it came with fastpacks and maybe a stand. The older 1/60 strike vf-1s went for ~$ 90. I wonder what stands will these be compatible with? Will they go with the included stands that we've seen with the sv-51? Or will they be compatible with the older yamato stands? Hell, they could come out with a new stand just for these if they choose to.

This is interesting news. I guess I'm one of the few that prefer the vf-1 in the 1/48 scale. The Vf-1 series looks puny when compared against the 1/60 yf-19, vf-0's and SV-51. Will the fast packs use magnets like the vf-0's? I still think that the removable nosecone was a great idea for the gbp armor. I question if these will look as good in GBP armor since the molded crotch piece will have to accomodate the nosecone.

Out of that list only, the vette works. And it doesn't because the O.G. was a Muscle car. This is only a TV movie. The challenger hasn't even come out yet. The camaro they used in Transformers probably cost more than half of the ators in the film. The Ferrari and Mercedes? Yeah right. They'd draw way too much attention in any make believe world. The ricer cars? No way. Kitt was muscle car last time I remembered-- and that's why the GT500 works perfectly.

God I forgot about that site devoted to Liefeld. He's a terrible artist. I love how all of his characters look pretty much the same. He draws maybe 5 different body types. He has no concept of backgorunds and page layouts. Everything is a splash page or a pinup. 1) Half nekkid sex kitten with a broken back, and twigs for ankles and waist 2) Big ole scruffy guy with large wrist, pouches, and carrying a cannons in each arm 3) wolverine look a like 4) Skinny guy with wild hairand big mouth-- See Cannonball 5) Large juggernaut type I laugh evertime I see that pic he drew of Captain America with breast.

I'm with Graham on this one. As much as I like the Soc and the Soc Spec series, Bandai is yet to show that they could handle anything as complex as the Vf-25. When Bandai was reissuing the crappy 1/55's, Yamato was looking ahead and came out with the 1/60 series. The rest is history. Heck, Bandai couldn't even get that right because they never even reissued any of the more sought after 1/55's that the fans really wanted. Yamato has gotten better with each sucessive release, and They have already demonstrated the ability to really bring Kawamori's designs to full life. Besides, it seems from what we've seen of the Vf-25 transformation Yamato has already figured most of it out with what they've done with the Sv-51,vf-0s and Yf-19. Knowing Bandai, they would probably take the easy route and make something in a tiny scale anyway.

I'll probably get the MH versions. But I'll probably pick up one of the CM's versions after christmas. There are way too many toys coming out this month. Do we know if there will be Belmont and Houquet versions later?

The book isn't a bad idea. I'd even suggest that they add a customs section on their website where fans could post and custom jobs that the fans have done using their toys or models.

The Cylons know that Kara has a special destiny. In season 1 the Cylon they blew out of the airlock mentioned so. He later reiterates the same point during the occupation by attempting to have Kara raise the child they lied about being a hybrid. The cylons obviously think highly of her. Kara was also the one that put the fleet on the original path to earth by retrieving the Spear/arrow of Athena. I may be reading too much into this but, I thought it was interesting that when young Adama put his hand in the Hybrid Goo, He seemed to recall emotions or thoughts of had had transpired in the prison. I don't think that it suggest he is a Cylon, but that the liquid helps to transfer memories to the newly downloaded bodies of the cylons. Yeah Cain turned into Ahab in a NY minute.

I know this has probably been covered already, but who will have merchandising rights to frontier? Will it rest solely with Bandai or will others like Yamato share rights as well?
