  1. I picked up Major Bludd, Baroness, RB and Arctic Snake Eyes. I didn't see TF flint. I hid CC and python patrol cobra soldier. Wave 4 comic packs are out as well?? The wal Mart I went to restocked the comic packs but I didn't bother looking at them since I didn't think there were any new sets.
  2. Graham, You have a way of alleviating my fears. I bet Bandai will come out with all of the major versions of the vf-25. All you have to do is look at the Evangelion toys for proof of that. Bandai has mastered the art form of making you buy the same toy over and over. I hope that there is a decent time between releases of the 1/60 line, so our wallets have time to refresh. So far I like what I see.
  3. Yep, and I'll probably be at the midnite showing. But until then, I'll have to entertain myself by complaing how much its gonna suck.
  4. The more I see, the less I like about this upcoming film. Do we really need all of futuristic armor crap?? One of the things I really liked about Gi Joe was that there was an air of real world tech, gear and uniforms. Which the producers have decided to ignore from what we've seen so far.
  5. I started in 96 or 97. The first toys or models I bought were bootlegs of the Bandai Mac 7 valks and the red white blue Joons vf-1J. I then bought the entire Battroid set of the Arii 15th anniversary toys/models and the rest is history. Being single, modest with my other expenses and living in an Apartment has allowed to me to amass a rather sizeable toy collection. Not to mention having the same cpu for 10 yrs as well.
  6. Good job MR!!! Are you going to add stickers to the legioss? We need a pinned thread on cleaning and finishing old toys. Some of my old Gakkens could use a thorough cleaning.
  7. Testicular Torsion is no laughing matter. I love the show as well. The scared straight episode might be my fav. I also like the rip they have of the Fantastic 4.
  8. I love my Raideen and Eva 02. I bought the cheap version Raideen as I don't have much display space for all of the acessories offered on the more expensive version. I do have a few gripes though. I think the shield attachments could have been done a little better on the Raideen. Both of the shields fall off rather easily. I also wish that the SOC's had a little more articulation. I'd like to see Bandai use the same endoskeleton that they employ on the SOC Spec line with some of the more traditional Soc's.
  9. Yeah it was pretty good. I was thinking about seeing the credits and decided not too. I guess I'll see Nick next time.
  10. I'm glad you enjoyed the film. I may go see it in a hour.
  11. IG destro, R&R, snow job, Crimson Guard and Torpedo are fairly easy to find at the WM's here. I've yet to see flash though.
  12. The target by my house finally had all 3 of the exclusives out Sunday Morning. They had them in the action figure section. They also restocked the carded figures. They had IG destro, snow job, CG, torpedo, armored CC and rock & roll. The Walmart by my house had the same figures out Saturday as well. Wally world also had scarlet, Cobra air trooper and beachhead. I was shocked to see all these figs in these 2 stores within a day of each other. Both of them usually are poorly stocked for gi joes. I still can't find Flash though.
  13. Very enjoyable episode. The opening space battle was awesome stuff. If Baltar isn't one of the best characters on tv, then I don't know who is. I loved the scene how he began to' feel' God. I love the irony of the Cylcons and their one true god, persecuting the humans and their many gods angle. I agree with you Duke, I don't think Kara is a cylon. She would be too obvious a choice.
  14. I love it. Of the 3 vehicles released it was the one I wanted the most. I could've bought the shark as well, But I didn't really want it so I only bought the Hiss and the awe stricker. My awe stricker has some of the issues that have been brought up at Hisstank. It's cannon cord is flimsy and one of the ends that it attaches to has some stress marks on it. The steering wheel doesn't turn, and some of the applied stickers have air bubbles in them. But Besides that it is a awesome display piece. I'm really temtped to apply some of the other stickers. It comes with more stickers than the hisstank. I wish that the Joes that I have could sit in the seats a little better. BTW both Targets near me had them listed in stock, but only one was willing to sell them before the 4/13 date that everyone has been talking about. I called before I went and a Young woman searched in the stockroom and found them for me. She told me that she would leave them out if I came in that night to pick them up.
  15. Today I picked up the awe stricker and the Hiss Tank at Target. Last week, I bought IG Destro, snow job and crimson guard trooper at Wal Mart. The only figure that has eluded me is Flash.
  16. I voted 0D/ but I want a 0B just as much. I think Yamato could easliy make them both seeing what they did with the yf-19 and vf-0A/s cockpits. I concur that a black vf-0 would kick arse.

    Thunder Hammer

Holy SH@# Exo, that's awesome!!!! RECAST that puppy. Can we get a pic with the Pod doors closed?
  18. Ok so they are probably a nicer all round sculpt over the Revys, but they ARE more expensive. How do the joints hold up? So far the Frauelin line is plauged with the arm pegs being too short, but figma? Yuki's shoulder joint's are the same as the ones used in the elbows. So no popping off like the fraulein's. The head doesn't have as much movement as the revy's because it doesn't have a ball joint.
  19. I recieved my MH stick today as well. I was a little disappointed with the figure as well. The purple helmet visor has got to go. The toy feels so fragile. It feels like it's 1984 and I'm playing with my tiny gakken ride armors all over again. Luckily I didn't break anything while transforming this toy. It was a royal pain in the rear trying to remove the front fork while transforming. Once transformed, parts don't really feel all that secure. This is especially true for the pectoral armor pieces. There is very little clearance between this piece and the head. I still can't believe how small they are. Well at least Stig and revoltech revy(Black Lagoon) seem to be in same scale. So I should have lots of fun posing these 2 together. Overall I would say the MH is a good figure to have, but certainly not worth the price tag.
  20. Today I recieved my fraulein Asuka and figma Yuki Nagato, and I must say that kaiydo now has some stiff competition. The revoltechs have a little more articulation, but the figma's score very high with acessories and quality of sculpt. Yuki came with another head with glasses, 2 books, a neck collar, alternate pair of shoes, a clear stand, 4 pairs of spare hands, and a figma labelled plastic bag to hold all of the acessories. If your into female action figures I highly recommend the figma line. One of my big gripes with the Fraulien line is that I wish the figures came with more acessories.
  21. I think the dreaded 1st release syndrome has been somewhat exorcised by Yamato's last 2 releases. The dd SV-51(loose hardpoints for the missiles) and the yf-19 (crooked gunpod in fighter mode) had very minor issues. These 2 issues are the worst problems I've had with my last 8 or so Yamato purchases.
  22. Please let there be a 1/48 vf-1D.
  23. Graham, please tell us that Yamato plans a general release for this toy so us westerners will have an opportunity to purchase this bird.
  24. Congrats on both of your purchases. I love the black on the yf-19. I would've rated this toy a perfect 10 had they not misspelled excalibur. Check out grahams transformation guide, it's on Youtube. The 19 and the sv-51 both give you the feeling that your gonna break something when transforming them, but their both fairly sturdy.
  25. I have 2 angel birds and they are both problem free. I bought one when they first came out, and the other about a yr ago. All of the later 1/48's are trouble free. The only troubles I've had with any of the 1/48's (I own a version of them all) is the well chronicled crooked skull logo on the tailfins, and a broken backpack when one of my valks took a dive from my computer desk.
