Omega, That part of our societies problem. We are often too focused on 'Justice' for the dead, that we never truely seek to determine why people just out of the blue commit these actions. The gunman will either be executed or thrown in prison for the rest of his life, without thought as to what might've triggered this in him. But I'm not trying to make excuses for this guy. We should all be held responsible for our actions and how they might affect others. Dfinately worth seeing on opening weekend. I want to see it again. Nolan definately knows how to close out a trilogy. The other two films were heavily influenced by the story of Sodom and Gamorrah and as I was watching this one, I kept thinking of the French revolution.

My condolences to those affected. I bet that they will find that the gunman was suffereing from mentally illness. Not to say that mentall illness makes people go out on shooting sprees, but I bet it's the root cause. I think there should be a greater awareness of mental illness, and more resources to treat and help affected families. I bet we will find that there was a breakdown in our system to help diagnosis and treat the gunman before something like this happened. But unfortunately sometimes no amount of intervention can prevent some people from doing really horrendous things.

Yeah it was a great film. It didn't disappoint. Very predicatable in many ways both very enjoyable nontheless. There isn't any after credit material like the marvel films.

I think the vf-11 is probably the most underrated valk toy. It's so simple, yet so nearly flawless. You really take it for granted how well Yamato wqa able to translate it to a toy.

Shaorin, You can probably score a 21 when HLJ has another macross sale. I've passed on the gamlin for the millionth time. I plan to get it when they have another sale. Thats how I got the Max and Milia 21's.

Getting the backpack positioned correctly in battroid mode is a royal pain. Ditto for the hands if they fall off before they are locked into place.

Macross Zero Valks - any chance for 30th re-releases?
Golden Arms replied to lechuck's topic in Toys
The Zero may be my fav valk design. It has everything I love about the vf-1 series and improved upon it. We definately need a revisit of this series. The vf-0D would be awesome for the 30th anniversary because it revisits old territory in a new way. They also have the ability to squeeze several releases from it. They should also rerelease the vf-11. We only got two toys friom it. A custom paint scheme could be easily accomplished. -
I think all of the complaints are valid. I work for an instrument company and the only way that things are changed or improved for the customer is via complaint. From my understanding both Bandai and Yamato personnel are known to visit these forums and others like them. If they see complaints, then they have real data to work with that warrants some alterations or changes on their part. They have no way of knowing if they need to make additional stock if potential customers aren't complaining that they can't acquire items. I'm sure the etailers like HLJ, BBTS, AmiAmi etc are echoing similar sentiments to Bandai. This will further reinforce that there might be more demand for a hot property(Macross frontier) and maybe they need to produce more units to meet such demand.

Medicom/Hot Toys and all 1/6 scale figures
Golden Arms replied to EXO's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Game over Man! I'm glad that I don't collect the Hot Toys. I'd be eating rammen noodles every night. But I would like to get my hands on the Hot toys Iron Man, Thor, black widow and captain america. -
It will likely take place in modern times. If they like, they can explore the winter soldiers background over the years. If they set this up, he could make an appearance in the next Avengers film in some fashoin. For those not familiar with the winter soldier, check out Ed Brubakers run on captain America. Some of the best work Marvel has put out in recent years, highly recommend.

My Yamato Ignis figure arrived and I really dig the figure. My only real complaint is that the shoulder joints should be a little longer. Her left shoulder joint doesn't stay in that well. I'll definately pick up the other figures in this line.

I guess I'm in the minority in that I like the black nose. The valk reminds me of the cosmo tiger from starblazers. I think they should've added the skull logo to the tailfins.

Digging all of the photos. Seems the 171 has brought out some of the best photography.

Cool. I'd like to have agent orange repainted in about a year or two (To grabber green). The car needs some body work, and I also need to replace some one of the fender aprons and it needs an alignment. -

MYK: If you don't mind my asking, about how much did you spend for paint? -
Thanks for sharing the pics. I've always hated the battroid for this bird, but the fighter mode is worth it all by itself. I can't wait for this to go on sale.

Ditto on trimming the stickers. The valks look so much better when you trim the stickers down as close as possible. It usually takes me several hours to trim them, but the results are totally worth it. -
Ditto for me Nano

Toywave just informed me that they were unable to secure any stock. Is Bandai making these toys only available to Japanese retailers? Thanks for the heads up Typhoon. I had just placed an order with NY. I was also able to order from HLJ. I'll see who will be able to keep my order.

Myk: Below are some pics on my girls. I should get the orange one back this weekend. The interior is getting put back together. The next thing I plan to do to it, is install the cd changer, and install the headliner. http://www.flickr.com/photos/81770160@N07/sets/72157630398482740/ -
Ignis is an elf, she should have pointy ears. I have three models and they all have normal ears. I should have the yamato Ignis figure by the end of this week and the wedding dress on order. Ditto on the Major Figure. I'd like another one of her, where she is wearing the Jacket and leggings. I'd like to get the Bishoujo Power girl, Wonder woman and batgirl. Way too many go figures out there. Here are few pics of some my figs. Sorry for the picture quality, they were all taken with my blackberry. There is some nudity, so if it offends you, then don't look. http://www.flickr.co...s/81770160@N07/
