  1. What Spanner said. Definitely one of Bandai's best releases in the renewal line.
  2. LOL. All of our Wallets. It appears that this coming year, Bandai will go rain of death on our disposable incomes. You should add that scene of Badolza's face from the TV series after the SDF-1 unloads on him.
  3. Awesome score Saburo. The race cars remind me of car from Gatchaman. Yeah, I plan on getting the LED kit. I've seen a bootleg of the LED that is half the price and is well regarded.
  4. 1/60 pg unicorn, 1/48 Hasegawa YF-19, Hasegawa DYRL SDF-1, variable fighter episode archives
  5. This topic brings up so many interesting questions. Do we know if licenses are exclusive? I.E. if a company purchases a license for lets say 1/60 DYRL toys. Is the license exclusively theirs for a defined duration of time, or can another company also purchase a license from the owner for the same product in the same scale? A good portion of the model kits are 1/72 scale. It seems that there have been several companies turning out kits in that scale at the same time. So shouldn't this also stand true for toys as well?
  6. The lighting could be handled either way, and both would work for me. Hot Toys has separate battery compartments for their Iron man toys. You would of course need more / separate batteries. I suspect they will do what they've done on the PG gundam kits and have a single battery that can be plugged into. That now has me thinking they could sell a separate LED pack for those that want to light it if they go the single power source. That could be pretty cool, because they could potentially implement it into some display base.
  7. Not digging the proportions either (too similar to the Yamato 1/48), but I definitely want it if it gets green light and can be priced reasonably. The level of detail that could be achieved at this scale is any mecha fans wildest dream. The landing gears do worry me based upon the DX line. I would love to see detailed side covers, cockpit and moveable tail fin flaps. If the do fast packs, I'd love to see LED's in the boosters. Also metal feet.
  8. WOW! Shaquille O'Neal would be needed to transform that thing! And Yes, Ultra Magnus is a big boy.
  9. Well said Jason and Renato. What little has been shown is way too early to judge this series. Lets judge it after viewing several real episodes. It's Macross so I plan to be in hell or highwater. But it reminds me why I don't always enjoy being around older people. The older we get, the less accepting of things that appear to be new, different and a little out of our comfort zone.
  10. What Mommar said. Besides in the Suicide squad trailer Amanda Waller mentions that Superman's appearance might've served somewhat as a beacon for the 'Freaks to come out'
  11. I was thinking a bad 4 letter word. . But I have mad love for M7! Now MacrossII that's another story
  12. The VF-19 and YF-19 appear to be in the DX scale, so yes 1/60. You can tell how large they are by comparing to the persons backpack behind them.
  13. Seti, M7 is a can be a four letter word to some on these boards!
  14. Are we also getting Character figures/ models with the Valkyrie? The VF-0 also appears to be in the 1/00 scale.
  15. The AD 2012 panel if my 40 yr old eyes don't deceive me looks like Hi metal R vf-4 that was theorized. Today has been like force Friday for Macross Fans minus all the overblown hype!
  16. Haters are going to hate. Most of us have enjoyed Macross toy and model releases from various manufactures. And I think support for the franchise is strong enough to support multiple releases from various manufacturers.
  17. Hopefully they will wisen up and the initial release of the toys will feature wings that come ready for hard point attachments.
  18. I'm praying its a kit because it would keep this less than $400 USD.
  19. I agree Kaneda. Besides, Bandai bankrolling the Frontier series was supposed the be their death knell and Yamato came back as Arcadia. If anything they should do is finish up the release of the Zero series and return to the VF-1 line if they don't have any immediate plans for any unproduced Valkyries. There are plenty of releases to revisit in the VF-1 line that could keep them occupied for over a year.
  20. I concur, but I think they will be fine. With all of Bandai's announcements today it doesn't appear that they have the 1/60 license for the legacy valks. The 1/60 scale is my preferred scale for Macross fighters and battroids. The 1/00 scale while offering a lot of possibilities pales in comparison to anything released in 1/60 scale. They remind of Hasbro's upscaling from 3 inch action figures to 6 inch figures. Its hard to go back to something so small especially since the Hi Metal R line is so difficult to acquire and the cost of the bare Valkyrie is around $70 USD and a 1/60 VF-1 last retailed around $120 USD. I'd gladly pay a little more for something that will display better in my collection and is also PT.
  21. The perfect Grade Gundam boxes are massive, but aren't terribly costly to ship to the US. I just bought the PG-Red Astray shipped for right around $200. Ditto for the PG Unicorn. It's shipping was around $50 if I recall correctly.
  22. Damn that's awesome Yeti! Thank the Maker I never got into Legos! I've been contemplating my next impulse buy. Yamato Detroid, Hi Metal R-VF-1J with GBP, 30th anniversary Voltron, or Transformers Apollyon.
  23. It said Kit in one of the posted pictures. It also is molded in differing colors than the finished version shown at the event. I've been screaming for Arcadia to release kit's of the unassembled vf-1 toys and if this retails for under $300 consider me on board.
  24. Hope it's a model that requires assembly because the pricing could be in the range of their PG gundam kits (wishful thinking). That should keep the cost down considerably. Arcadia's unassembled SDF-1 was nearly $100 dollars less than the prebuilt one. I had just bought a house around that time so I had to skip a lot of Macross releases back then.
